Chapter 15 Prophecy
"Wow... Black Pupa, what a descriptive name," Ji Minghuan said teasingly, grinning. "It also suits this weird and strange image, like a giant fluttering moth."

"When I saw his photo, the first thing I thought of was you," the tutor suddenly said.

As these words were spoken lightly, the air in the confinement room suddenly became quiet for a second.

Are you kidding me... I've been discovered already? Shouldn't I just be getting dismembered?

Ji Minghuan was secretly surprised, but he didn't show it on the surface. His face had an expression between confusion and annoyance.

He asked, "Why, do I look even remotely like this hideous thing?"

"you……"

Ji Minghuan held his chin in his hand and interrupted his mentor in a gloomy tone, "Teacher, if you want to call me ugly, just say it directly. There's no need to beat around the bush. I can still accept this level of personal attack."

"I mentioned something about your childhood yesterday. Back then, you wrapped yourself tightly in toilet paper, and the nurse at the orphanage took a photo of you and recorded it."

As the instructor spoke, he took out another photo from the pocket of his white coat and superimposed it on top of the photo of "Black Pupa".

Ji Minghuan looked down silently.

In the photo, the young boy locked himself in the bathroom and wrapped his whole body with rolls of toilet paper, like a white mummy. His shape was vaguely similar to the black insect pupa in the previous photo, only in its infancy.

The two photos were superimposed on each other, and the instructor deliberately left a corner of the lower photo exposed. The pupa surrounded by toilet paper was on the left, and the pupa surrounded by restraints was on the right, forming a sharp contrast in color.

Ji Minghuan stared at it for a moment, smacked his lips and said defensively, "Please... I've explained it before. This is really just a stupid thing I did when I was young and ignorant."

He casually reminisced, "At least I don't have the habit of dressing up as a giant moth to scare people in public... Back when the orphanage celebrated Halloween, the scariest thing I ever dressed up as was a ghost dog, barking and going trick-or-treating unless I got treats. It was pretty harmless."

"Actually, I just want to say... maybe after your superpowers awaken, your actual performance will be similar to his." The instructor smiled.

"That's too bizarre. Who would tie themselves up like a mummy when they have nothing better to do?" Ji Minghuan sighed. "I suggest that after you capture this psychic, take him to the neurology department to check if there's anything wrong with his brain."

The instructor took the photo back and asked with a smile, "So, how's it going? Are you a little more interested in superpowers?"

"I still have self-awareness. Muggles are Muggles. There's no point in being interested." Ji Minghuan paused. "Besides, even if I were as powerful as you say, I would have found a way to escape from this shabby place long ago. Why would I have to endure your wrath here?"

"But if you are really just an ordinary person, then there is no need for us to go to so much trouble to lock you up here." The instructor did not take his words seriously.

"I still don't understand. Why on earth are you arresting me? After a month, you haven't been able to prove that I'm a normal person?"

"Someone predicted that you would destroy the world."

"Ha, ha." Ji Minghuan laughed dryly twice, then asked, "Has that guy watched too many American blockbusters?" He sighed, "He keeps destroying the world. I wish the world were that easy to destroy. Not to mention, I can't even destroy myself. If I try to hurt myself, I'll be electrocuted."

"Who knows?" "So who is the person who spread rumors about me?" Ji Minghuan asked tentatively, "Can't you bring him to see me so we can confront him face to face?"

"No." The instructor interrupted, "To be precise, we can't do it."

"Why? Is his family in outer space?"

"No, we've never met him and don't even know his identity."

"Huh?" Ji Minghuan raised his eyebrows and froze in shock. After a moment, he asked, "So, you arrested me and locked me up for over a month just because of the nonsense of someone you've never met?"

"He predicted numerous major events that would have profound impacts on the world, and each time, the events unfolded in perfect accordance with his predictions," the mentor said slowly. "But... although he helped us avoid numerous major disasters, we've never had direct contact with him. It's better to say that he never gave us that opportunity."

He paused. “And, ever since he told us about you, he has disappeared.”

"There's no need to be so dishonest when you make up stories."

The mentor smiled disapprovingly. "Anyway, we've never met him before, and no one knows his true identity. He's like a ghost, simply observing the world from afar. Even though he predicted dire events, even the razing of entire nations, his tone in his letters was always so calm, as if he were recounting a trivial matter."

He paused: "But..."

"But?"

"But when he mentioned you to us, he was very serious. He said that we must control you, otherwise there would be serious consequences."

Ji Minghuan's eyes darkened, and he hung his head dejectedly and said, "I get it. This guy must have a grudge against me... Could he be the director of our orphanage? I've loved making trouble since I was little. I watched with my own eyes as I tore the director's hairline from his forehead to the top of his head. Oh no, now he has no hairline at all, just a boiled egg."

"It's a pity that your dean is just an ordinary person."

"If the prophet you mentioned appears again in the future, can you tell me?"

"Okay, if he does show up again, maybe I'll tell you."

"Okay," Ji Minghuan was silent for a while, and suddenly said: "By the way, didn't you tell me yesterday..." He knew in his heart that the tutor was likely to break the appointment again.

"Yes, that's why I came here today." The instructor learned from yesterday's lesson and mentioned her by name this time. "In five minutes, Kong Youling will come here to see you. I will step aside for a while, so it will be just the two of you. You can talk about whatever you want without worrying about anyone."

"Really?"

"Of course it's true." The instructor smiled calmly, "I'm leaving now. You wait here."

After saying this, he stood up from his chair and walked out of the monitoring room. As his back was swallowed by the lowered isolation door, the rows of cold-colored light tubes dimmed and the whole world fell into darkness.
