Sword from the Tang Dynasty
Chapter 12 Nightfall
Chapter 12 Nightfall (Thanks to the Lan Niang Alliance!)
All the monks in the Heavenly Master Hall received the medicine and left.
Perhaps because they knew the movements of the Sui army, people's hearts were obviously much more at ease.
Zhou Yi did not dare to take it lightly. He stared at the statue of Yellow Emperor in the hall and fell into deep thought.
"If the Sui army doesn't come, Yue Sigui's lies will be exposed, which will be detrimental to his ability to persuade me to lead the Taiping Dao to support Li Mi."
'Also, the letter from Cao Ruinian.'
'This old man Cao not only saw through his grandson, he even knew Li Mi's whereabouts.'
'...'
If he hadn't heard the news about the Jukun Gang today, no matter how smart he was, it would be difficult for him to understand anything as an insider.
But now, it’s different.
"What do you think of Dou Kui?"
On the way back to the wing room, he suddenly asked the two little Taoist boys.
Yan Shu thought without hesitation: "He practices diligently. Apart from Brother Zhang San in the training room, his external hard training is the most powerful, and it is the more difficult Crouching Tiger Kung Fu."
Xia Shu tilted her head slightly and responded from a different angle:
"Master praised him for his honesty and loyalty, so he would be asked to go down the mountain to do some shopping. This time, Grandpa Li, who was carrying vegetables and rice, fell and injured, and he was the one who sent him to find a doctor."
Zhou Yi nodded slightly, and a trace of worry quietly dissipated.
Talking to someone:
"Well, I think he's suitable for the dish."
Xia Shu asked, "Brother, are you planning to expand the dojo?"
It's no wonder she asked this question. Master Jiao Wuzi only granted ordination certificates to students and never arranged for anyone to ascend the Dao Plate. Therefore, there were only a few of them as core figures in the Taiping Dao.
The master has his own difficulties, but now he has to change.
Zhou Yi's eyes were deep. "Fishing at the river mouth when it's high, fishing in the deep pool when it's low. We can't just sit there with stagnant water anymore."
“What do you think?”
"If our Taiping Daochang rises up and imitates the righteous army, how many people in Yongqiu will follow?"
Yan Qiu was quite confident: "We can gather a thousand people in just one day."
Xia Shu said, "If we set up an altar to preach, and swear by Huang Tian, we can spread it beyond Yongqiu. If the Sui army doesn't come, there will be at least 10,000 of them in half a month, but they have no money or food, so they can only attack cities and seize territories."
Zhou Yi looked at the two little Taoist boys and felt ashamed.
You are worthy of being my disciple of Taiping Dao.
Talking about rebellion was as leisurely and calm as after dinner.
"During this period of time, the two of you should not leave Fuzi Mountain."
"Yes, senior brother."
The two of them huddled together again and whispered.
Xia Shu praised in a low voice: "Senior brother is braver than Master. Master is the leader, and Senior brother wants to be the king."
Yan Qiu muttered: "The courage after devouring the bull ghost."
They followed him to the side room with laughter, and Zhou Yi gave him some instructions on related matters.
For three days, nothing happened.
Apart from paying attention to the situation up and down the mountain, Zhou Yi spent the rest of his time immersed in the practice of "Xuanzhen Guanzang".
This second sitting posture must be practiced at the hour of Xu; the effect is too poor at other times. Besides the Kidney Meridian of the Foot Shaoyin, the Qi of other meridians cannot flow retrogradely.
This led to slow progress in practice.
But since I cultivated the first strand of true qi, the situation has been drastically different.
True Qi comes from refining essence into Qi, and it circulates naturally through the meridians.
Therefore, the other nineteen seated statues can also be practiced.
But there is a slight difference.
For example, the seventh seated statue is practiced at noon.
The mind method has notes:
"At the first quarter of noon, sit facing north in silence. With your left hand pinching the Zi-wen mark, with your right hand holding the Wu-ji seal, lower your eyes three inches to gaze at the tip of your nose. When your breath becomes as light as a thread, begin breathing in and out."
The meridian through which the true qi flows is the hand Taiyin lung meridian.
The first acupoint is "Zhongfu" and the second acupoint is "Yunmen".
The Yang energy is at its strongest at noon, so it can evaporate the Qi of the Zhongfu Lung Meridian into clouds, which is the "Yunmen Point".
According to the mind method, clouds are the state of qi about to turn into rain.
The location of the Cloud Gate leads to the limbs. When the Qi of the Lung Meridian flows in, water vapor will form and damp heat will be generated in the body. The mental method calls it "wet illusion", which will disturb the mind.
This is also one of the reasons why Jiao Wuzi commented that this skill tests one's character.
However, apart from feeling that the true Qi was not flowing smoothly due to the compression of the meridians when passing through the acupoints, Zhou Yi did not feel confused.
The former is something that everyone who learns martial arts will encounter, which is why there is the saying "opening up the meridians".
The latter was mentioned in the "Xuanzhen Guanzang", but he had no sense of it.
Zhou Yi wasn't sure if he was practicing correctly, but it was smooth and silky, and he hadn't gone astray. The Qi flowed through the various meridians, either flowing within them or, as described in the Heart Sutra, returning to the Dantian and transforming into True Essence.
No matter how you look at it, he seems to be a martial artist with a deep foundation and a solid cultivation of Taoist internal energy.
The sun rises and sets, and two more days pass.
Taiping Dojo, in the training room.
Zhou Yi was looking at some sword and knife manuals related to weapons, as well as body movements and footwork.
Although they are all basic, he is still quite engaged in it.
Without a grain of rice, how can there be a granary of food?
"Brother, the news from the Ju Kun Gang is correct. The Ying Yang Prefecture Army really went to Jiyang!"
Two little Taoist boys came running over with happy looks on their faces.
Xia Shu continued Yan Qiu's words: "The rebel army in the northwest of Jiyang was badly defeated. The whereabouts of the leader of the rebel army, Sun Xuanya, are unknown. I heard that he was killed by Yuwen Chengdu.
The remaining soldiers were fleeing towards Yuanju, and the Sui cavalry were still pursuing them closely from behind.
Yuanju is located in the southeast of Kuangcheng, in completely different directions from Yongqiu.
If the Sui army had not come, the Taiping Taoist Temple would have been basically safe.
It seems that I was indeed worrying too much.
Zhou Yi felt a little relieved, he would rather it was a false alarm.
"Brother, do you want to ask Fourth Brother Feng and the others to go back?"
"Don't worry," Zhou Yi said calmly, "Wait until the Sui army is further away."
All the Taoist priests in the Taoist temple heard the news, and the gloom that had been on their faces for several days completely dissipated.
If Zhou Yi hadn't been holding him back, he would have already gone down the mountain.
Without the sword hanging over their heads, the atmosphere in the Taiping Dojo instantly relaxed from its tense and oppressive state.
While everyone was lifting stone locks, scooping iron sand, and breaking rocks with their chests, they could also laugh and chat at the breathing point and talk about the things happening in the underworld near Yongqiu.
He even occasionally muttered something like "Senior brother is too cautious."
Night falls quietly.
The lights in the Taiping Dojo were lit, and Zhou Yi, who was practicing in the side room, frowned.
The candles flickered, and I felt inexplicably anxious.
When I think about what has happened recently, I always feel that it is not so easy to live in peace.
Once a thought comes up, it is difficult to suppress it.
He took a long breath, slowly stood up and opened the door halfway, letting some spring breeze into the house to clear out the stale air.
The two little Taoist boys should still be taking inventory in the warehouse.
Zhou Yi closed the door, walked through the moon hole under the moonlight and the dim light of distant lights, and headed straight towards the warehouse.
Less than a hundred steps away, he had not yet crossed the altar of the Taoist temple.
His ears moved and he suddenly looked towards the mountain path in front of the dojo!
Ahead is a dense pine forest, and further ahead are stone steps leading down the mountain.
It was vague and there seemed to be a strange sound.
I looked carefully, but didn't see any fire.
According to custom, there should be Taoist priests patrolling the mountain with torches.
If we relax, will there be no one on duty?
Frowning, he walked quickly towards the training room. Yan Qiu turned around and saw him. Just as he was about to speak, Zhou Yi asked first, "Who's guarding the mountain tonight?"
"It's Jiao Ting and Wang Shi. They left at the end of the You hour." Yan Qiu responded quickly.
After hearing this, alarm bells started ringing in my heart!
Since there were people guarding the mountain, there seemed to be only a strange noise just now, but no sound of footsteps or talking.
Something is wrong!
Zhou Yi glanced at the entrance of the Taoist temple again. Relying on his improved skills, he wanted to go in and take a look, but when he saw the pitch-black pine forest, which looked eerie and gloomy, he immediately gave up.
There's no need to put yourself in danger.
"Where are Feng Si and the others?"
"They are all in the building over there in the training room."
Zhou Yi nodded slightly: "Just follow me and don't talk along the way."
Xia Shu and Yan Qiu nodded. Yan Qiu wanted to say "OK", but Xia Shu quickly patted him and signaled him to shut up, meaning that no one should talk at this moment.
Although I am confused, it is always right to listen to my senior brother.
After leaving the warehouse, Zhou Yi stepped back half a body length.
He stretched out his palm and pressed down on the lamp, extinguishing the candle and plunging the warehouse into darkness.
