Chapter 823 Finale
"Mom, are these our new little brother or sister?"

“Yes, you are big brothers and sisters now…” Bai Wanwan looked at the children in the room with tenderness on her face.

The food was quickly served, and the males soon piled it up in front of Bai Wanwan.

The cubs' cheerful laughter, the males' deep conversations...

Bai Wanwan sat in the main seat, her gaze slowly sweeping over her family members.

A feeling of overflowing, almost tearful happiness filled her heart.

She gently put down her chopsticks, silently rose amidst the noise, and slowly walked up the stone steps.

The chieftain's gaze followed her the whole time.

A moment later, he put down his wine glass, whispered something to Yan Lie beside him, and got up to leave the table.

Upstairs on the balcony, a cool night breeze dissipated the warmth and noise from inside.

The last rays of orange-red sunset struggled on the horizon, outlining the white, crescent-shaped silhouette in a soft and hazy way.

She gazed at the rosy glow, and also at the dark spot at the end of the glow that had already begun to blend into the darkness, yet she could still spot it at a glance.

Strong arms embraced her from behind, drawing her into a warm hug, and a familiar masculine scent enveloped her.

"What's wrong?" Chief Rong's deep voice sounded in my ear, asking with concern.

Bai Wanwan leaned back against him, absorbing his reassuring warmth.

She didn't answer immediately, but just gazed into the distance, her lips unconsciously curving upwards.

“I just feel…” Her voice was very soft, as if afraid of disturbing this beauty, “It really feels like an incredible dream. Coming to this completely unfamiliar world, meeting you all, being with you, having so many lively little ones, building this family… Every day is so happy it feels unreal.”

The chieftain tightened his arms around her slightly, and his cold, hard jaw gently brushed against the top of her head.

He also recalled that crazy night from the beginning; if it weren't for the bold female in his arms, he might never have had all this happiness.

His hardened heart had long been softened by this warmth. "Yes, thankfully it was you that night."

Bai Wanwan turned to look at him, "You want to kill me, don't you!"

He chuckled softly, "How could I bear to kill you? Even if I found you, I couldn't bring myself to do it."

Bai Wanwan smiled and tightened her arms.

Her gaze drifted into the distance once more.

This time, the chieftain keenly noticed it.

He followed her gaze, and his powerful eyesight immediately locked onto the solitary figure that still stood out starkly in the deepening night.

"Who is that?" The chieftain's brows furrowed instantly, his gentle aura transforming into the sharp and icy edge of a predator. "Has he been watching you from there?"

Bai Wanwan felt the tension in his muscles and the sudden surge of murderous intent, so she quickly raised her hand and covered the back of his hand that was wrapped around her waist.

She turned her head, looked up at him, the smile on her lips unchanged, even carrying a strange calmness, "That's Roger."

The air seemed to freeze for a moment.

Chief Rong's pupils suddenly contracted; he was familiar with the name.

It was that male who coveted his wife, even taking her away right under their noses, and ultimately losing his life to save Wanwan.

How could it be him?
That bloody memory instantly made his aura dangerous and violent, as if he were about to transform into the fiercest tiger and pounce on that figure to tear it to shreds.

“Wanwan,” his voice was as cold as ice, “I’ll be right back.”

"Don't go." Bai Wanwan's hand gripped his wrist tightly, not with much force, but with unwavering determination.

She looked into the chieftain's eyes, which were brimming with anger and confusion, and slowly said, "He helped us. In the apocalypse, it was he who collected and delivered enough energy stones, which finally gave the system the opportunity to save Jin Shen. Last time when we went to the Glacier Forest, it was he who secretly guided us, allowing Zhu Xiu and the others to avoid deadly dangers and return safely."

Chief Rong's brow furrowed deeper and deeper. This information was clearly completely different from the despicable Roger he knew. He couldn't understand it, much less easily believe it.

Bai Wanwan noticed the annoyance in his eyes.

She hadn't yet sorted out her complex feelings toward Roger; gratitude was mixed with wariness, and relief was tinged with the shadows of the past.

Therefore, she does not intend to make any decision now.

She tiptoed and sealed the chieftain's tightly pursed, hard-lined lips with a gentle kiss.

The chieftain's anger was gradually soothed by her kiss.

A moment later, he instinctively took the initiative, holding the back of her head with one hand and deepening the kiss, filled with tenderness and a deep, unwavering affection, wishing he could merge the female with him into one.

The evening breeze became tender, and the lonely shadow on the distant hill seemed to be made even more blurred and distant by the intimacy and warmth overflowing from this corner of the balcony.

The chieftain's broad, warm hands firmly supported her slender waist, the warmth from his palms seeping through the fabric and soothing her skin.

He lowered his head, his usually steady voice becoming extremely low, tinged with a hint of hoarseness, "Wanwan, let's go back to our room..."

Bai Wanwan looked up at him, her eyes filled with soft, moist light, and said, "Mmm."

With a slight effort, the chieftain lifted the female in his arms, her petite body nestled against his firm, iron-like chest, enveloped by his cool, masculine scent.

However, this enchanting tranquility did not last.

Just as Chief Rong turned around with her in his arms, before he had even taken two steps, a series of hurried and familiar footsteps came from the direction of the stairs, approaching from afar. Accompanied by the cub's clear yet righteous argument, the tranquility of the second floor was instantly broken.

Yan Lie, carrying a snow-white leopard cub by the scruff of its neck in each hand, burst forward with a mixture of amusement and exasperation on his face, and shouted in Bai Wanwan's direction:

"Wanwan! That brat has gotten too bold, actually instigating his younger brothers to sneak north and attack the wolf tribe's patrol!"

The leopard cub he was holding, though its four paws were dangling in the air, showed no fear whatsoever. Its neck was stiff, and its eyes, inherited from its father, were wide open as it spoke in a loud voice: "I'm not kidding! I heard from Uncle Qiushan that those gray wolves have recently stolen several females from the beaver tribe! They're wicked!"

"It's none of your business, you bunch of half-grown brats, to stand up for what's wrong!" Yan Lie glared and gently shook the little guy in his hand.

"I've grown up!" The little leopard cub puffed out its fluffy chest. "I even won the poaching contest with Uncle Qiushan last time! I can fight!"

"Yes! My brother is the best!"

"Brother can defeat the bad wolf and save the female!" Several cubs of different colors, but all equally round, ran up next to him.

They crowded around the stairwell, chattering in support of their brother, their little faces full of admiration and eagerness, as if their brother were already a great hero who could save the tribe.

This scene caused the father beasts who followed, such as Zhu Xiu, Fu Jinshen, and Hua Han, to feel a familiar headache.

Looking at these energetic and fearless youngsters, they could almost foresee that once these kids became even stronger, the entire Beast World continent would probably be in turmoil.

The chief had no choice but to gently put Bai Wanwan down.

Fu Jinshen quietly stepped forward and carefully draped a soft, warm cloak over her shoulders, then casually put his arm around her.

Hua Han smiled and handed over a plate of freshly washed, still-drenched, bright red berries, as if the chaotic scene before her was just an everyday amusement.

Yan Lie and Yin Ze had already squatted down and began to educate the "little adventure team" led by the leopard cub. Their tone was serious, trying to make them understand the difference between strength and responsibility, and between impulsiveness and planning.

Although Zhu Xiu didn't say much, his dark eyes swept over them, and the most boisterous cubs instinctively shrank back and hid behind their elder brother.

Bai Wanwan leaned against Fu Jinshen's side, accepting the berries Hua Han offered, but did not participate in their father-son confrontation.

A indulgent and satisfied smile played on her lips as she gazed at them tenderly.

This is the most perfect ending she found after traveling through time and space.

The future is long, and their happiness will last forever...

A year later, it's finally the finale! Thank you to all the fans who love Wanwan and her beast husbands. Every click and vote from you has kept me writing until now. Thank you so much for following us to the end! The Lunar New Year is almost here, so I wish everyone a prosperous, smooth, and healthy new year. Also, a heads-up about my new book: it's a space-themed beast world story. The female lead has a slightly wicked side, getting close to the male leads for revenge. The male leads are all very compelling, so if you're interested, you can look forward to it. You can check it out after the New Year to see if it interests you. (The epilogue covers their lives and Roger's ending; if you don't like that, you can skip it. If you like Roger, you can continue reading.)
