A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 931 There’s a surprise

Chapter 931 There’s a surprise
Linus's departure also prompted Rasmodis to take action.

"Go back. Abigail is waiting for you at the farm. She has invited Camilla to visit. Please be careful about the impact."

After leaving Leon a reminder, he suddenly disappeared from Leon's sight.

Lyon had no reason to stay here at the moment. He stood up and moved around, still feeling a little uncomfortable, but at least he had no problem with his mobility. He immediately quickened his pace and rushed back to Red Star Farm.

Outside the farmhouse, looking at the lights in the window and the aroma of food wafting through the wide-open door, Leon rubbed his face, checked his clothes, and then stepped into the house.

"I am back."

After loudly reminding her that she was back, Leon stood at the door and waited until Sofia came out of the kitchen, then he started to change his shoes.

"Brother, why are you standing at the door?"

"Take a break." Leon explained casually.

After all, who knows what they do at home, and Leon doesn't want to cause trouble by creating some cliché scenes from light novels.

"Is the meal ready? If not, I can leave the kitchen to you."

"It's okay, it's almost done. I was planning to call you and ask you to come back early." Sophia replied, then stepped forward and took Leon's arm and reminded him: "You can go wash your hands and change clothes first."

"Well, five minutes. Bring me upstairs with a change of clothes."

Leon listened to the advice and went to the bathroom, took a quick shower, changed into the clothes that Sophia had left at the door, and then returned to the living room.

Entering the kitchen, Lyon saw the table filled with various home-cooked dishes, all of which he often made. It seemed that the results of the replicas made by Abigail or Sophia were very good. At least in terms of color and aroma, Lyon could not find any fault with them.

“Welcome.” Leon nodded and greeted Camilla, who was already seated, then walked around to the other side and sat down. “Would you like some wine?”

"No, I'm going back to Castle Village after dinner tonight." Camilla politely rejected Leon's proposal.

Leon didn't persuade her much, but waited quietly for Abigail and Sophia, who were still finishing up, to sit down. He had no intention of actively communicating with Camilla.

Soon, Sophia and Abigail were seated with their cutlery.

Sophia sat next to Leon, and Abigail sat next to Camilla.

"Let's eat. Although the food may not taste as good as Leon's, it's still edible." At this moment, Abigail was cheerfully inviting Camilla to pick up her chopsticks like a mother of the family. Then she took the time to roll her eyes at Leon and complained.

"You're not participating in the entire holiday, but have to leave early to go down to the mines. Can't you just take a day off?"

"You guys don't even take me out to play. What's the point of spending the holiday alone? I might as well find something to do." Leon complained rather aggrievedly.

Sophia covered her mouth and laughed secretly when she heard this. Abigail instantly lost her confidence and didn't dare to look at Leon, while Camilla lowered her head with an embarrassed expression and played with the fork in her hand.

Realizing that he had created a bad atmosphere, Leon immediately greeted, “Let’s eat, Ms. Camilla, don’t worry about your relationship with Abigail, and give her a fair and just evaluation of her cooking skills.”

"Yeah." Camilla nodded and started moving her fork.

And Leon also picked up the chopsticks and began to taste Abigail's cooking skills one by one.

Not to mention the result surprised Leon. Not a single dish was a failure, and they were all perfectly cooked, reaching the level of home cooking. Although the flavors were a bit lighter than Leon was used to, the ingredients actually highlighted their inherent flavors.

Although they didn't drink, Abigail took the initiative to lead the topic, and Sofia also made jokes on the side, which gradually stimulated Camilla's interest in talking. Halfway through the meal, Camilla was obviously much more relaxed.

Only Leon remained a bystander, nodding occasionally to agree with their topics, and then quietly eating, trying to reduce his presence.

"Brother, why don't you speak?"

Sophia, who was standing by, noticed Leon's situation and couldn't help but mutter.

"I can't join in on the topic you're talking about, and your sister Abby has told me many times to keep a distance from other women," Leon explained.

"Is Abigail the only one who said that?" Sophia couldn't help but teased Leon when she heard it.

"Why, you want to say it too?" Leon naturally knew what Sophia meant, but he would not continue to follow Sophia's words. Instead, he threw the question to Sophia.

"No, I don't care about these things." Sophia said frankly.

"So nice."

Lyon was quite satisfied with Sophia's statement. Perhaps it sounded a bit like a green tea to Abigail and the others, but to Lyon it was well-behaved and sensible.

"By the way, brother, you'd better be ready tonight. Abigail seems to have a surprise prepared for you."

Noticing Leon's doting eyes, Sophia felt sweet in her heart, and then she couldn't help but reveal a piece of news to Leon.

"Are you sure it's a surprise and not a shock?" Lyon's heart tightened when he heard that. His intuition told him that this was definitely not simple.

"It should be a surprise." Sophia hesitated for a moment and confirmed.

"Can you tell me more specifically?" Lyon asked.

"No, it's a bit too much to tell you in advance. Don't tell Abigail that I warned you."

Sophia shook her head imperceptibly, and then stopped talking to Leon. She naturally joined in the topic of Abigail and Camilla, so that Abigail, who had not noticed the whispers here during the heated conversation, did not notice her and Leon's little movements.

Camilla noticed it, but she didn't mean to say it out loud. She enjoyed her dinner while listening to Abigail's topic, but her eyes were a little vague.

After the meal, Leon took the initiative to take care of the housework, while Abigail and Sophia went to see Camilla off.

Soon, Abigail and Sophia came back to help in the kitchen.

"You all rest here tonight." After wiping the water stains on the dishes, Leon casually asked the two women who were washing dishes and tidying up the cupboards.

"Yeah." Abigail nodded. "What do you want to say?"

"Uh, nothing." Leon shook his head in denial, but gave Abigail a look that said, "You know what I mean."

Abigail rolled her eyes at Leon, then turned around and chatted with Sophia as if she hadn't noticed anything. Where Leon couldn't see, she and Sophia made eye contact tacitly, and then the two women nodded tacitly, completing some kind of mysterious communication.
