Chapter 923 Say hello

Leon didn't know about Abigail's reconciliation with Helena because he was very busy at the moment.

I used to think that Sophia was cooperating with me, but who would have thought that this was actually true.

When Gus found out that he was coming over to ask if he needed help, he immediately pulled him to the coal grill that was currently in use, and brought him a bunch of skewers and various tools needed for barbecue.

Then Lyon began the endless cycle of brushing with oil, dusting with flour, and flipping over the noodles in the smoky heat.

Because barbecue is so popular, the freshly grilled ones were taken away by the people gathered nearby before they could even be put on the plates, while those who didn’t get any were still waiting nearby, watching from time to time, waiting for the next opportunity.

"I didn't expect barbecue to be so popular."

After turning the flounder in the trap net over, brushing it with oil, and wiping the sweat from his forehead with a towel, Leon complained to Sophia who was helping him thread the skewers.

"After all, it's the best-selling dish in the Stardrop Salon. Uncle Guts usually supplies it in limited quantities, but today there's no limit, and you don't have to spend any money, so naturally everyone wants to eat as much as they want." Sophia explained.

Only then did Leon realize that Gus had actually started the new barbecue business he had suggested to him, and it was quite successful.

This reminded him of the time when Guts called him and asked him to go to the Star Fruit, but at that time he had just taken a shower with Abigail and was planning to rest, so he didn't go.

Now it seems that Gus's invitation at that time was for me to experience the debut of barbecue.

Having missed this invitation, Leon guessed that Guts must be quite regretful, and now that he was in such a miserable state, it was hard to say that this wasn't just a small "revenge" from Guts.

But Leon enjoyed it. After all, it was much easier to grill skewers here than to stay between Abigail and Helena.

"Leon, is the flounder ready?"

Willy came over with a bottle of beer, sniffing the burnt grease and pungent spices in the air. He couldn't help swallowing and asked.

"It will take a while." Lyon replied, waving his hand.

"Don't worry, but the quality of this flounder is okay, right?" Willy stood opposite and chatted with Leon.

"It should be fine, but unfortunately I don't have time to try it." Lyon complained helplessly.

"Then you'll have to ask Gus to compensate you later. For now, just focus on serving everyone." Willy laughed and joked to Leon.

Leon looked down on Willy who was watching the fun, and then said, “Willie, do you know Jiang Island?”

"Ginger Island? Is it the island where a lot of ginger grows?" Willy thought for a moment and then confirmed to Leon.

"Yeah, that should be it." Leon nodded.

"Why are you asking about that island? It's not an uninhabited island. There are not only monsters on the island, but I heard there are also pirates. Have you found another treasure map?" Willy knew that Leon would not suddenly ask about an island far away from Stardew Valley without any purpose, so he immediately asked Leon.

"No, but the ownership of that island is in my hands, which means that the island belongs to me. I plan to go and see it later, but I don't have a boat, so I can only come to you." Leon explained.

"You bought an island?!" Willy was so shocked by the news that he lost his grip on the beer bottle and dropped it on the beach. Fortunately, the sand was soft, so the beer bottle didn't break. "I guess so." Leon didn't know how to explain the details.

"So, can you come with me later? I'll pay for the gas."

"Of course it's no problem, but it won't work in a short time. The ocean currents near the island are very complicated, and my small boat can't get through. I need a big boat to rush through.

I have this big boat, but since I haven't been on a long voyage in a while, it's been parked in the private boat dock under the house. Plus, it hasn't been maintained for a long time, so I'm not sure if it can leave the dock now, so I have to go back and check it out."

Willy nodded without hesitation and agreed to accompany Leon on this trip, but before that, he had to confirm some things.

"Okay, if you need to repair the ship, tell me and I will be responsible for the materials." Leon was not surprised by the news. After all, this was the situation in the game and he was very familiar with it.

"Okay, I'll take a look first. If it's just a simple repair, I can do it myself." Willy didn't hesitate.

“But I really didn’t expect that you actually bought an island. This is not something that can be achieved with money. Leon, you have quietly accomplished a great thing.”

"Keep a low profile." Leon waved his hand and joked to Willy, "Don't make it public, or I'll have a headache if someone comes to borrow money from me."

"Not really, not really. People who are not familiar with you won't bother you, and people who are familiar with you won't need to borrow money from you, right?" Willy knew Leon's circle of friends and comforted Leon about his "concerns".

"It's just a joke. If you really need to borrow money when you're in trouble, I won't be stingy." Seeing that Willy didn't understand his joke, Leon didn't mean to explain and continued to chat about Jiang Dao.

"Let's go and take a look first. If conditions permit, maybe I can build a resort there so that we can still cooperate."

"If that's the case, I'm certainly happy to cooperate, but building a resort might be a bit troublesome. That place is not peaceful." Willy reminded Leon again.

"There's no need to worry about the pirate problem. When I took over this island, the previous owner explained the situation of those pirates to me. They are not pirates in the traditional sense and they are not threatening at all," Leon explained.

"As long as you are confident, if it's difficult to develop the island alone, I can invest in it. Gus should be able to do it too. Don't try to do it alone." Willy nodded and reminded Leon.

"Let's see the situation first."

Leon was very touched by Willy's support, but he was not sure about the specific situation of Jiang Island. He still had to go on an on-site investigation. If the real Jiang Island also had those magical parrots, then the development cost could be ignored.

Willy was about to say something when he suddenly smelled a burnt smell. He looked closely and saw that it was the smell coming from Lyon's oven. He quickly reminded him.

"It's messed up, it's messed up!"

Leon came to his senses and realized that he had forgotten to turn the skewers over while chatting with Willy. He immediately focused his attention and started to make amends.

Fortunately, most of the skewers were fine, only a few skewers had the potato slices at the bottom that were at a higher temperature and were burnt black, so the loss was not too great.

"You should focus on your work first. We can talk about these things after the holiday."

Willy looked at Leon's flustered look and joked with a smile.
