Chapter 820: Buy an Island
Chapter 820: Buy an Island
The food was delicious and had obvious benefits, so everyone naturally ate with relish.
They also drank a lot of drinks. Although it was wine, it was aged and had a high alcohol content. So, except for Lyon, almost everyone else's face was red.
Pierre and Caroline were fine. After all, when they had nothing to do, they would go to Gus's pub or drink at home. They had a good alcohol tolerance, but their eyes were a little blurry.
But Sophia and Scarlett were completely dazed, leaning in their chairs and shaking their heads, as if they were about to fall asleep in the next second.
"Let me help you clean up, and you take these two girls back."
Seeing that there was only some soup and leftovers left on the table, Caroline stood up and prepared to clean up the mess.
Pierre also stood up to help. After all, he didn't plan to be idle, and he also wanted to finish the things here as soon as possible so that he could go back and spend some long-lost time alone with Caroline.
Leon was not polite. Now that Pierre and Caroline could help him finish the work, they might even help take care of the children in the future. There was no need to be too polite about such a small matter.
Just as Leon picked up the keys to the Beast pickup and was about to help the two young girls get in the car, Abigail stopped Leon.
"They're both drunk and living on the edge of Pelican Town. It's not safe this late at night. But there's Sofia's room upstairs. Let them rest there for the night."
"That's fine." Leon thought Abigail's suggestion was quite reasonable. Besides, people who drank too much were more likely to be in danger. Staying here would allow him to be discovered and taken care of in time.
"Well, leave it to me." Abigail said, and stepped forward to help Sophia and Scarlett go upstairs. She didn't look tired at all, which surprised Leon.
But when I think about the fact that Abigail is still a magician, I feel relieved.
After Pierre and Caroline finished cleaning the table and the kitchen, they said goodbye arm in arm and politely declined Leon's offer to send them back.
"Have a good rest tonight. I'll leave Abigail in your care. But before you plan to get married, you still have to be careful about the impact. I don't want to become a grandmother too early."
Before leaving, Caroline leaned close to Leon's ear and whispered a reminder.
Then, with an embarrassed expression on Leon's face, he briskly pulled Pierre away.
Abigail happened to come downstairs at this time, and had obviously settled the two girls.
"Mom and Dad are gone? Are you so anxious?"
Seeing that only Leon was standing downstairs, he spoke with some regret.
"They still have things to do when they go back, and there's nothing much to say if they stay. It's not like they live far away. If they have something to do, they can walk and get home in more than 20 minutes." Leon explained.
"What could happen so late?" Abigail asked in confusion.
"Who knows?"
Although he said that, Leon could still guess what they were doing. After all, during the meal, Pierre and Caroline kept exchanging glances. Even though they had been married for many years and their daughter was an adult, time did not seem to have erased their love.
"So what are we going to do next? Watch a movie?"
They had just finished their meal, and it wasn't too late. It would be a shame to go to bed so early. She had originally planned to go out on a date with Leon, but the crops were ripe, interrupting their plans. But Abigail still wanted to make up for this regret. Curling in Leon's arms and watching a movie on the movie channel might be a good choice.
"Okay."
Leon smiled and nodded, then pulled Abigail to the sofa, turned on the TV, found a channel that was playing a movie, and started watching the movie.
Lyon has not had much exposure to the entertainment activities of this world. The cultural differences between different worlds make Lyon quite interested in watching this TV show about a love story in an ancient castle.
Because the protagonist in the movie story is not a human being, but a ghost and a suit of armor without a body.
I don’t know if it’s special effects or if they are really performed by non-natural creatures, but the images of both characters are quite realistic, and some of the guests and servants who serve as supporting roles are also non-human characters.
"I've seen this movie before, and at that time I thought it was just special effects. Now I see that they are actually real monsters, like those green elves who serve as flower girls. I've seen them on ancient islands before. They're a group of good-tempered little creatures, but they don't like fire."
Abigail, leaning on Leon's shoulder, said with a smile when she saw the scene in the wedding movie.
"It seems that Lasmodes has taken you to many special places." Lyon sighed when he heard this.
"Well, after all, the teacher is a guardian, and he always says that if you want to get closer to the elements, you have to go to areas far away from human life."
Abigail nodded and suggested, "There are many uninhabited islands in the Gem Sea. They have unique natural landscapes and secrets, and most of the scenery is stunning. If we go on a trip one day, maybe we can find a peaceful island to live on for a while."
"If you really like it, why don't we just buy an island and use it as a resort?" Lyon joked.
"Ah? Buy an island? That's too exaggerated." Abigail looked at Leon in surprise. She really couldn't imagine that Leon would have such an idea.
"That's a territory that belongs entirely to me. How wonderful." Lyon's eyes lit up when he said this. After all, as a Han Chinese, having a large piece of land of his own and becoming a local emperor is definitely one of his ultimate dreams.
"Isn't Red Star Farm also your territory?" Abigail complained. "Although most of the islands remain uninhabited by humans, they are still state property. Furthermore, major organizations like the Nature Research Association and the Mage Council won't allow humans to interfere with the last remaining habitats of rare plants and creatures that can only survive in specific areas and can't survive on the mainland. You'd better give up on this idea."
"Dream? How can it be called a dream if you don't even dare to think about it?" Leon complained speechlessly to the disappointed Abigail.
"It's better to rest early than to think about these things."
Just at this moment, the movie ended. Abigail turned off the TV and pinched Leon's cheek in annoyance and complained.
"Okay, but shouldn't we take a bath before going to bed?" Leon reminded Abigail with his eyes narrowed and looked at her maliciously.
"You've already showered, so don't waste water. Go upstairs. I'll come in after I finish showering." Abigail looked at Yanang unhappily. How could she not know his little thoughts? But thinking of the bad experiences she had in the bathroom in the past, Abigail still felt that she couldn't shower with this bastard.
"Then I wait for you."
Leon was not disappointed about this. No matter what, Abigail could not escape, it was just a matter of sooner or later.
After going upstairs, Leon first went to see Sophia and Scarlett in the guest room. The two little girls were sleeping soundly and showed no sign of waking up. He immediately closed the door and returned to his room.
As soon as Abigail came in, he immediately picked it up and threw it on the soft bed.
