Chapter 783 The Non-Existent Box

Chapter 783 The Non-Existent Box
"You said this."

Upon hearing this, Lyon immediately understood Linus's thoughts.

The old man was worried that he was being cheated by Miranda, so he wanted to find out more about himself and see if he could make any compensation or help.

Lyon was very touched by this, so he told Linus the truth.

"It wasn't a very difficult request, actually. She just asked me to invite two people to a Hawaiian party."

"That's the only way?" Linus looked at Leon suspiciously. "Are you sure?"

"I'm sure, this is the only requirement." Leon nodded.

"Who did she ask you to invite? It can't be Rasmodesmus and herself." Looking at Leon's sincere eyes, Linus couldn't help but ask.

"No, it's Camilla and Helena," Leon added.

"Camilla, the witch from Castle Village?" Linus raised his eyebrows when he heard these two names.

"I can understand inviting Helena. After all, that was your problem. She probably wants to see Helena and Abigail clash. But what about Camilla? Do you have any connection with the witch in this castle village?"

"As for connection, no, we are just acquaintances. Although we have been through hardships together, our friendship is actually quite ordinary. Besides, she probably doesn't want to see me again." Leon actually cares about this point.

After all, inviting Helena could be understood as Miranda wanting to see the excitement of the Shura Field, but as for Camilla, he believed that he didn't have much friendship with Camilla.

The two had met only three times in total. The first two times were just a passing encounter, but the third time they spent a little longer together, and the situation was very awkward.

In fact, when they escaped together, Leon had already discussed that matter with Camilla, and they agreed to keep secret everything that happened between them in the underground room and only reveal what could be revealed.

Even a grown man like Leon was too embarrassed to tell anyone about this matter, and the witch Camilla should be the same. It can be regarded as a secret and dark history between the two of them.

But it is very strange that Miranda wants to reunite these two people who have no intention of meeting each other again. Could it be that Miranda knows about this?
"It doesn't matter, but I still asked you to invite the witch from the Castle Village. Are you sure?" Linus didn't believe Leon's answer. He knew Leon, and he knew Miranda even better. He didn't believe that Miranda just randomly picked a witch's name to make up the number.

"Who knows?" Leon replied with feigned helplessness, "Maybe she thought a witch attending a Hawaiian party might cause some trouble that she would be happy to see."

"You kid, you must be hiding something from me." Linus looked at Leon with suspicion. His intuition told him that Leon must have a little secret with the witch named Camilla.

"Old man, did you ask me to come to you just to hear gossip?" Leon changed the subject directly.

"I'm just worried that Miranda will plot against me. After all, she is not the kind of spellcaster who follows the rules." Linus complained.

"Then old man, can you help me think of a way to avoid this invitation?" Leon asked Linus after hearing this. If possible, he really didn't want Helena and Camilla to appear. It was not that he disliked them, but he was afraid of the various accidents that might be caused by their appearance.

"No." Linus smiled gleefully and shook his head at Leon: "Anyway, in my opinion, this condition is not dangerous, at least for other people at the Hawaiian party. As for you, you can only say that this is a problem caused by yourself." "Really? What about asking Rasmodes for help?" Leon thought of the consequences of breach of contract. It seemed to be some kind of curse. If this curse could be dispelled, perhaps there would be no need to worry.

"He won't help you. Miranda doesn't harm ordinary people, at least that was the case before you breached the contract. And considering Miranda's relationship with him, do you think he will take action? He would rather stay away from her." Linus directly dispelled Leon's idea.

"Forget it, let's take one step at a time."

Leon remained silent at this answer. He knew that Linus was telling the truth and it seemed that he could not resist, so he let it be.

"Then I can only wish you good luck. Go back and rest. By the way, think of a way to ensure that you can safely survive the Hawaiian party later." Linus waved his hand and directly ordered everyone to leave.

"Wait, old man, I have something else to ask you."

Linus understood what he was looking for, but Leon still had something to consult Linus about.

"Have you ever seen a box in the valley on the other side of the railway? It's right next to the railway, so it should be quite conspicuous."

"Boxes?" Linus thought for a moment. "I don't remember any boxes over there. Most trains passing through this area do drop some loose cargo, but it doesn't take long for the dwarves and goblins to pick it up."

"Why are you looking for the box?"

"This involves a task Mr. Qi gave me." Lyon summarized.

"Is this a commission from Mr. Qi? Then you can go look for it yourself. I can't help you. Go find your box." Hearing the name Mr. Qi, Linus immediately closed his eyes and waved his hand in disgust, telling Leon to get out.

"Um, okay." Seeing Linus's attitude, Leon knew that he couldn't ask him for help, so he could only get up and walk towards the railway.

After Leon left, Linus finally opened his eyes and muttered to himself, "Is this kid going to get the club membership card too? No, didn't the old man leave his own card for him?"

Thinking of this, Linus got up and went back to his tent. He took out a satellite phone from under his sleeping bag and dialed a number he hadn't contacted for a long time.

After a brief conversation on the phone, Linus finally understood everything.

"So this is what you are up to, old man. For your grandson, you really spared no effort."

On the other side, Leon didn't know about Linus's situation. At this moment, he was walking along the serpentine tracks on both sides of the railway connecting the two tunnels, looking for the box for storing rainbow shells in Mr. Qi's message.

This section of railway, apart from the area where the tracks were laid, was basically surrounded by wasteland. Leon couldn't see a single branch, let alone a box. Walking from one end of the tunnel to the other, Leon didn't see anything that looked like a box.

After walking back and forth several times, he found nothing, which made Lyon quite confused.

Could it be that the box Mr. Qi mentioned wasn't actually the box he had imagined? Instead, it was a code name for something else?
