A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 775: Let’s Make Friends

Chapter 775: Let’s Make Friends

Led by Linus, the two came to a hidden reverse slope in the northeast corner of the railway area. Lyon saw a tall green pentagonal stone tablet embedded in the mountain wall, with no gap visible behind it.

"It's right here. Take out your dark amulet and put it on."

Looking at the stone tablet, Linus pointed to the only groove on the stone tablet and reminded Leon.

"Ah."

Leon took out the dark amulet from his backpack, endured the stinging pain, and embedded it into the groove on the stone tablet. Although the size of the groove was far different from that of the dark amulet, the stone tablet began to shrink rapidly when the dark amulet fitted the stone tablet.

When the size of the groove on the proportionally shrunk stone tablet perfectly matched the size of the dark amulet, the stone tablet began to turn from green to black, and then began to melt, and was finally completely absorbed by the dark amulet.

Without the support of the stone tablet, the dark amulet began to fall to the ground under the influence of gravity. Leon picked it up and stuffed it directly into the system backpack.

The stone tablet disappeared, and the cave entrance that it had previously blocked was exposed to Leon and Linus. The cave was pitch black and its depth could not be seen.

"Go in. There's a teleportation array leading to the Witch Swamp inside. It's not convenient for me to accompany you, so you'll have to walk the rest of the way alone."

Linus took out a burning torch from somewhere and handed it to Leon and spoke.

"Can it be saved?" Leon took the torch and took out the leaf given by Linus to confirm.

"Yes, but I don't think you'll need it." Linus repeated his previous answer.

"Then give it back to me!" Leon looked at Linus speechlessly and complained.

"I'm worried that you might be too nervous, so I'm giving you some insurance," Linus explained with a smile.

"Okay, I'm leaving now." After joking with Linus, Leon put away the leaves and entered the cave holding a torch.

With the light of the torch, I could see the situation inside the cave clearly. The width of the cave was enough for two people to walk side by side, and the height was a little over two meters, so it didn't feel oppressive to walk in.

The rock walls on both sides of the cave are as smooth as mirrors. I don’t know if they have been repaired or because of magic, but there is no need to worry about being hit by any protruding rock walls.

Walking forward, Lyon found that the depth of the cave was quite exaggerated. He maintained a normal walking speed and walked for more than three minutes, but still couldn't see the end, which made Lyon a little unconfident.

After all, this is the road leading to the Witch Swamp teleportation array. In order to prevent ordinary people from entering, it is not known whether Lasmodes has set up magic similar to the Muggle Dispelling Charm to create a ghost wall to hinder passers-by A, B, and C from entering here.

After walking for more than a minute, the front suddenly opened up. In the firelight, Leon saw a standard square space. There were no decorations around it, only a floor made of stone bricks. In the center, there was a magic circle placed on the ground, shining with a light blue glow.

Taking a deep breath, Leon walked towards the magic circle. Just as he stepped into the range of the magic circle, the next second, he found that the scene in front of him had changed into another style.

In front of him was a narrow path. The color of the soil was no different from the land outside. On both sides of the road, the path was completely surrounded by deep-colored lake water. In the lake, uniquely shaped, unknown trees grew vigorously. He didn't know if it was an illusion, but Leon always felt that there seemed to be something peeping at him in the treetops.

Looking back, there was a lake behind him. This was one of the ends of the road. Fortunately, Lyon could still see the magic circle, so he was not worried about being trapped here and unable to escape.

"Although it's a swamp, the road condition is unexpectedly good." Lyon had the impression that the swamp did not have a dry and compacted road surface, but it was different here. Although the path under his feet was narrow, it felt very solid when he stepped on it, so Lyon didn't have to worry about being sucked into the mud if he wasn't paying attention.

Without hesitation, he continued forward. After walking for more than a minute, Lyon saw an island connected to a trail in the direction he was facing. A huge wooden house stood in the center of the island.

The roof was covered tightly by green leaves. The wall facing Lyon was carved with reliefs of curled vines. There was a gap on the mahogany door, but one could not see what was inside through the gap. One could only see the impenetrable darkness.

There were two skull-shaped lanterns hanging on the walls on both sides of the door. Leon observed carefully and found that the skulls were carved from stone, with fire flickering in the empty eye sockets. They were not the human skulls he had imagined.

Although it is weird, at least it doesn't seem that evil.

Continuing forward, before reaching the island, the door of the cabin suddenly opened and a humanoid creature walked out of the cabin.

It has a fat body, green skin, sharp teeth, a long nose like Pinocchio, bulging red eyeballs, and an iron helmet with horns on its head. It looks like it can fight.

"No wonder humans are afraid of and misunderstand goblins. With the look on their faces, no one would believe they are good people." Leon complained silently in his heart, but a kind smile was on his face.

"Hello, Mr. Goblin, I'm here to see Ms. Miranda. Is she home?"

"Human, are you looking for my master? I'm sorry, she's not at home." The goblin politely responded to Leon, and at the same time looked at Leon for a moment: "If there is nothing else, you can go back first. The mistress doesn't like outsiders to disturb her life."

"Don't be anxious, let's talk?" Leon was not convinced by the goblin's words, but took two steps forward and spoke.

This action immediately made the goblin alert. In sharp contrast to its fat body, the pair of skinny and dirty hands that the goblin stretched out were much thinner, but the nails on its fingers were long and sharp, looking like a polished dagger.

"Don't come any closer, human, or I will be forced to fulfill my duty to protect this place."

The goblin roared and threatened Leon, but his instinctive step back revealed his weak nature.

"I really don't mean any harm. Let's just be friends." Lyon spread out his hands, indicating that he had no intention of taking action.

"I only serve my mistress," the goblin shouted.

"Meeting is fate, this is for you."

Seeing that the goblin was still on guard, Leon sighed, then took out the Void Mayonnaise he had just bought from his backpack and threw it at the goblin through the air.

Seeing this, the goblin thought that Leon had thrown some deadly weapon, so he directly avoided the Void Mayonnaise that was thrown at him, rolled on the ground twice in a very embarrassed posture, and crouched down to defend himself with his head in his hands.

But after waiting for a long time, he didn't hear any explosion or smell any poisonous gas, and then he realized that what Leon threw out was not threatening at all.

He immediately looked at the object that fell to the ground curiously, wanting to see what it was.
