Chapter 756: Garbage Man?
Chapter 756: Garbage Man?
Leon left with the bag, because if he didn't leave, Sophia would probably use the hat mouse's previous choice to pressure him again.
For some reason, Sophia now seems to have a certain degree of aggressiveness. Although it has not been officially implemented yet, there are already some signs of it, which makes Leon feel quite strange.
Fortunately, this trend can be nipped in the bud and should be easily resolved if handled coldly.
"Where to go now?"
Sophia, who finally caught up with Leon, walked side by side with Leon and asked at the same time.
"Go check my crab pots."
Leon replied that he slept too long yesterday and had originally planned to check the crab pot when he woke up at night, but when he opened his eyes again it was already the next day. However, there was no problem in retrieving the crab pot now.
I guess the shrimps, crabs and clams caught in the crab pots shouldn't die.
When he arrived at the lake, following his memory from yesterday, Lyon quickly found the copper cone that fixed the crab cage.
It was still firmly embedded in the mud on the shore, and even though the land was soaked by rain, it did not loosen at all.
Pulling out the copper cone, he pulled the cable to drag the first crab cage out of the water. It was quite easy at first, but when the crab cage was out of the water, it suddenly became much heavier without the buoyancy.
As the crab cage was gradually pulled up, the small cracks on the walls of the crab cage that were out of the water began to drain excess water, and it felt lighter and lighter.
By the time the crab cage was completely brought ashore, although it had not been opened yet, some friction and flapping noises could be heard coming from inside.
When the lid of the crab cage was opened, the situation inside was clearly visible.
Two crayfish with bared fangs and claws occupied the two sides of the crab cage in a corner. In the middle area, several slender spiral-shaped corn snails lay quietly in the cage, and on the inner wall of the cage, there was a dark green snail lying.
This multiple harvest surprised Leon a little. He thought there would only be one captured creature in a cage. Now it seems that the reality is not as rigid as in the game.
Lyon was looking at the catch in the crab cage, and Sophia naturally came over to check it out out of curiosity. Because the cage opening was not big, she had to get very close if she wanted to see clearly. Lyon, who didn't notice Sophia approaching, looked up after seeing the situation in the cage, and was about to pull out the next crab cage, but his head happened to hit Sophia's chin.
"Ouch."
Sophia screamed, then covered her chin and looked at Leon with a wronged look.
Leon also touched his forehead, soothing the slight sting on his scalp after Sophia's chin hit her.
"Are you OK?"
Fortunately, Leon's head was quite hard, and the stinging only lasted for a short while before fading away. However, thinking about what had just happened, Leon was still worried that Sophia might not be paying attention and be hit too hard by him, and accidentally bite her tongue.
"It's okay." Although Sophia's eyes were filled with tears, she still stubbornly expressed her strength. However, her expression was not convincing at all.
"Fortunately, no vital parts were hurt. If you wanted to see it, you would have just told me. It's easy to get hurt if you come so quietly."
Leon sighed, then stepped forward and stroked Sophia's cheek, motioning her to open her mouth. Seeing that there were no bite marks on her tongue and no blood oozing from her gums, he breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Leon's intimate inspection and concerned eyes, Sophia didn't feel so painful anymore. However, considering the unexpected disaster she had encountered due to her recklessness, she still chose to apologize obediently.
"Sorry, I just wanted to see what was going on inside the crab pot."
"Na."
Leon lifted the crab cage and tilted the cage mouth towards Sophia so that she could see the situation inside better. When she found two or three kittens and puppies inside, Sophia instantly felt that it was obviously not worth it for her to suffer a heavy blow for this.
"It's a good thing to be curious, but you must also be careful to protect yourself." Seeing Sophia's frustrated look, Leon reminded her with both heartache and amusement.
It was others who had advised him before, but now it was his turn to say it, which was quite interesting.
Sophia didn't say anything, but just stared at Leon blankly, as if she was a child who had made a mistake and was standing in the corner waiting to be punished by his parents.
Seeing Sophia like this, Leon scratched his head, then changed the subject and said, “Do you want to try carrying a crab cage?”
"Yeah." Sophia thought that Leon would give her a lesson next, but she didn't expect Leon to skip this topic. She breathed a sigh of relief and joined in the activity of collecting crab cages.
In fact, Lyon didn't place many crab cages, and it was obvious that the bait in the crab cages was not very popular. So each crab cage seemed to have some weight except for the moment when it was taken out of the water. Once the water inside was emptied, the harvest inside was actually not very rich.
Sophia and I collected the remaining nine cages. Together with the first one, we only harvested about 20 crayfish. There were quite a lot of snails, but these freshwater snails, which were as thick as a little finger, did not have much meat.
There were also a lot of snails, but Lyon had no idea how to prepare this ingredient because there was no matching recipe in his menu.
Although he had heard of the famous dish called French snails, Lyon kept his distance from it because of the large number of parasites contained in the snail's body, which was just elementary school biology, no, it should be natural knowledge.
Fortunately, Lyon's original intention was not to come for these freshwater creatures. What really concerned Lyon were the various garbage that were swept into the crab cage due to the water flow.
Broken twigs, sticky gray garbage, broken glasses frames, plastic drink bottles, and glass wine bottles.
There are much more types of garbage than in the game, but whether all of them can be put into the recycling machine is still an unknown.
"Leon, why are you staring at this garbage?" Sophia asked in confusion, seeing that Leon didn't even look at the crayfish, snails, and other small things, but was staring at the pile of disgusting garbage with great interest.
"Because I'm thinking about turning waste into treasure." Leon explained, and then directly put all the garbage into the system backpack.
Although it was dirty, once it entered the system backpack, all different types of garbage occupied a storage grid in an orderly manner, so Leon didn't need to do it directly.
"Do you want to experience the life of a homeless person?" Sophia's expression became very strange when she heard that Leon was really interested in garbage and wanted to find the value in it.
"This is called redistributing waste resources. Also, don't underestimate the homeless. Some of them might be worth more than you and me combined."
Leon spoke to Sophia seriously, but whether Sophia believed it or not was hard to say.
