Chapter 700 Get Some New Guys

Chapter 700 Get Some New Guys

"If you like it, take more. Don't be polite. If you need anything next time, just let me know. Or I can introduce you to my friend who makes spices." Gus said very generously.

Gus doesn't admire Lyon too much, a young man who can cook, especially since they have a good relationship. Gus never spoils the fun of Lyon's requests.

He also hoped that Lyon would continue to delve deeper into the art of cooking, so that he would not have to suffer from not being able to find colleagues to communicate with in Pelican Town in the future.

Moreover, Lyon seemed to have his own way of using some spices with narrow uses. Gus was quite envious of this. If he could learn a few of these unconventional spice applications from Lyon, Gus felt that his cooking skills would be greatly improved.

"Thanks. I'm welcome then."

As Leon said this, he grabbed a handful of dried devil peppers and put them in his pocket. He didn't take too much because he couldn't use them all.

"By the way, Gus, you can consider putting the barbecue I recommended to you last time on the menu. Barbecue with beer in the summer will definitely boost your restaurant's popularity and increase alcohol consumption. Don't miss this great opportunity."

"I've asked Clinton to order some of the barbecue grills and skewers you mentioned. They should be on the menu in the next two days. But I don't care about making money. I just want everyone to try something new." Gus replied with a smile.

"Then I will definitely show my support then." Lyon nodded.

"Okay, give me some suggestions then."

After finding the spices he needed, Leon left the kitchen and didn't disturb Gus from cooking.

However, he did not stay in the bar in a daze. Instead, he left the bar and rode his bike to the blacksmith shop.

Clint, who opened the door for Leon, saw Leon appear and immediately invited Leon to come in and sit down, and brought him a bottle of iced Joja Cola.

"Leon, what are you doing here? Upgrading your tools, or opening a crystal ball?"

"I'd like to ask you to help me make a pot." Leon explained.

After hearing Gus say that his barbecue grill was customized by Clint, Lyon had an idea, which was to ask Clint to make a big wok for him.

After all, there are so many crayfish. If you don’t have a bigger pot to cook them, the tools you have in your kitchen may not be enough. Although they are not useless, the preparation time will double.

"Pot? How big do you want?" Clint asked.

"It's about this size." Leon gestured with his hands to indicate the size, then felt that it seemed unreliable, so he asked Clint for paper and pen, and drew a proper earthen stove with a large iron pot on the paper, and it was a three-view drawing with the dimensions marked.

This pot can not only be used to cook crayfish, but also to stew rice, make rice crust, fry meatballs, fry fish and fried dough sticks, make dumplings, or make iron pot stews, clay pot chicken, or even use it to put water on the rack to steam buns. There is no need to worry about it becoming a disposable item.

"It can be done. About 5 iron ingots will be enough. Are you in a hurry to use it?" Clint looked at the design drawings provided by Ang and immediately felt confident.

"If possible, expediting would be best. I'll charge extra. You provide the iron ingots, and I'll pay the market price." Leon nodded. Expediting would be best, otherwise he might have to borrow one of Gus's large stew pots. "No problem. I can make it for you in two hours. I'll charge you 400G for materials and labor," Clint quoted.

Lyon didn't bargain for the price and paid it directly because he knew that this was already a discounted price.

Lyon remembered the price of ore from Clint's side clearly. Iron ore was 15G per piece. It took 5 pieces of iron ores to smelt one iron ingot, and 25 pieces of iron ores meant 375 pieces, which was 400G in total. And this did not include the coal consumed in smelting the ore, plus the process cost of plasticizing the iron ingot into a large round-bottomed iron pot. G was really a conscience price.

Maybe Clint didn't even think about making money, and he still wanted to bargain. That's really not a good thing.

"By the way, if it's convenient, make me a stand, like this. I'll use it with the iron pot. It should look something like this." Lyon drew a triangular stand with a fire pit on the paper. There were support points on it where the big iron pot could be placed.

With this thing, Leon no longer needs to build a special earthen stove, and it can be used to light a fire for the big iron pot in the future, because the four-hole terraced stove in the house can't accommodate the big iron pot that Leon asked Clint to build.

"This is even simpler. Three iron ingots will do the trick. 200G is enough." Clint answered confidently after seeing the new design drawing.

"Then I'll leave it to you. I'll come to get it in the evening. By the way, are you busy recently?" Leon asked Clint after paying another 200G.

"I'm not busy. The work at hand is almost finished. Olivia said that the next batch of orders has to wait for statistics and will be handed over to me in about half a month, so I should be quite free in the next half month." Clint explained.

"Then I'll take advantage of this time to come to you and ask you to open the crystal balls. I've got a lot of them in the mine recently, and I plan to open them all at once." Leon said.

"That's not a small amount of money, Leon. Are you really not considering the crystal ball that I recommended to break the machine?" Clint reminded.

"It's not easy for me to get the materials for that thing, mainly because I can't find where to get the battery pack, and the efficiency probably won't be very fast. I might as well pay you to build it. Anyway, you'll make the money, so I don't feel bad about it." Lyon joked.

"Okay, I respect your choice, but I won't give you any discounts. After all, opening a crystal sphere is not an easy job." Clint didn't persuade him any further.

"Well, I'll be leaving first. I have other things to do." Leon waved goodbye to Clint and went to the Stardrop Salon.

He had been considering whether to invite Clint to the crayfish party in the evening, but when he thought of Alex's situation, he decided not to. Alex was thick-skinned and might not feel ashamed, but if Clint were to suffer the same fate, he would probably feel uncomfortable.

Moreover, Clint has a crush on Emily, but Emily is not interested in him. On the other hand, Emily has feelings for him, but she doesn't even pretend to show them. If Clint sees this, she is afraid that they will become strangers in the future.

Thinking of this, Leon couldn't help but sigh. He really felt that Clint was a bit miserable. Not only did he fall in love with someone who didn't love him, but he was also a socially anxious person. If he couldn't think it through in this life, he might have to join the Stardew Valley Bachelor Club and never be able to turn over.

If he had the chance, he would still like to help Clint, let him give up his current fruitless unrequited love, open his eyes to the world, and not hang himself on a tree.

It's the end of the month, so I'm taking a break. My brothers and sisters should understand me. I love you.
