A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 692 A good start

Chapter 692 A good start
I don't know if it's because the resources in Stardew Valley are too good, or if it's God's help, but I was lucky today. As if to cooperate with Leon's explanation, the fishing line that Leon just threw was floating on the water, swaying in the water like a rootless duckweed.

As soon as he finished speaking, the fishing line suddenly straightened and a slight pulling sensation was felt on the stick.

"coming!"

Leon was overjoyed. He didn't need to waste energy by pulling the line like he did in fishing. He just lifted the rod suddenly and pulled the glutton who was holding the pig liver underwater and pulled it ashore.

The crayfish that came out of the water still had no intention of letting go. One of its big claws tightly clamped the pig liver, and the other big claw was waving in the air, trying to clamp the culprit that dragged it out of the water. It looked very ferocious.

What surprised Leon was that the crayfish was actually quite large. The head of the shell was dark red, and the stomach was even darker red. The individual was about the length of a palm, and weighed about 1 or 5 qian ( qian = grams).
"Wow, that looks so cool?" Sophia exclaimed with wide eyes as she watched the crayfish being dragged ashore and hanging in the air with its liver in its hand.

"Is it that easy?" Emily was a little unconvinced. After all, it only took Leon about ten seconds from casting the bait to lifting the rod. This efficiency was too fast.

"It does seem simple," Leah agreed.

"That means there are a lot of crayfish in the water. This is the difference in the abundance of aquatic resources. You will know when you try it yourself later." Lyon said with a smile.

After getting a good start, he suddenly became more confident. He was worried that the crayfish in the river would be picky eaters, or that their habits were different from the crayfish he used to fish for as a child, so they might not take the bait. Now with this one as evidence, Lyon believed that as long as nothing unexpected happened, he would definitely be able to achieve lobster freedom tonight.

After showing the girls the crayfish on the bamboo pole, Leon took out a plastic bucket he had prepared at home from his system backpack. The size of the bucket was about the same as a common paint bucket, which was just right for holding crayfish.

He reached out and grabbed the crayfish's back, and scratched its tail with his little finger. The crayfish then let go of its claws that were holding the pig liver, curled up its tail, and arched its body, while waving its claws in the air. Unfortunately, it couldn't attack the hand that was holding it from behind.

In the end, he could only watch helplessly as he was thrown into a bucket. He lost the chance to escape and could only hold his upper body high in the bucket with his claws raised, trying to save his last bit of face.

But no one paid attention to him. Leon poured a shallow layer of water into the bucket to ensure that the crayfish in the bucket would not die of dehydration due to high temperature. Then he put the bucket aside and handed the shrimp fishing rod in his hand to Sophia.

"You try it first, I'll make some more, and everyone can have some."

"Okay." Sophia couldn't wait to take the shrimp fishing rod, and imitated Leon, grabbing the end of the rod with one hand, shaking the wooden stick, causing the pig liver tied to the end of the fishing line to swing, and then throwing it into the river.

Then I squatted on the shore with full of anticipation, watching the fishing line floating on the surface of the river, waiting for the moment when it straightened.

Lyon didn't waste any time. He split a piece of wood into four sticks. One of them had become a shrimp fishing rod, and the other three would naturally suffer the same fate.

Because it was really not difficult to make, Abigail, Emily and Leah also offered to help, and without caring about the pig liver that was still bleeding, they just grabbed it in their hands and started tying the fishing line.

With the help of the three girls, Leon took out a piece of wood and split it into four pieces, and continued to work. The other four girls had already picked up their prawn rods and started fishing, but Hailey was the only one standing there, looking stupid. After Leon finished the first prawn rod of the second batch, he handed it to Hailey. "Actually, I don't have to join in," Hailey said, looking at the prawn rod in Leon's hand, but she didn't show any intention of taking it.

"Are you worried about getting your clothes dirty?" Leon asked back.

"I don't really like crayfish," Haley replied, shaking her head.

"Do you dislike its appearance or its taste?" Leon asked.

"I was afraid it would pinch me. When I was a child, my father set up a fish tank at home and raised crayfish to clean up the dead ornamental fish. I tried to touch it and got pinched once. I never want to recall that pain again in my life." Haley explained with a look of resistance.

"It's okay, just cast the bait, and then pull it up when it's hooked. I'll take care of the rest." Leon suggested. After all, everyone was fishing for crayfish with a fishing rod. If Haley was the only one standing there, it would seem too lonely, as if everyone was isolating her.

"Okay." Haley was not so resistant when she heard that she didn't need to take the initiative to touch the crayfish. In fact, she was also quite conflicted. On the one hand, fishing for crayfish seemed very fun, but on the other hand, everyone was playing, and it would seem too unsociable if she didn't play alone.

Now with Leon's help, Haley no longer had any worries. She took the shrimp fishing rod from Leon and joined the girls on the shore.

Lyon continued to make the shrimp fishing rod. He did not let go of the remaining three wooden sticks. He tied fishing lines and pig livers to all of them, and then threw them into the river one by one.

Although there are three rods and Lyon only has two pairs of hands, it is not that difficult to operate. Just insert the tail of the shrimp fishing rod into the soil and there is no need to worry about it. Wait for the fishing line to be straightened by the greedy crayfish, pull it out and lift the rod. Not to mention three rods, even if there are twice as many, Lyon will have no pressure.

"Hahaha! I caught it."

Leon had just stuck two shrimp fishing rods into the soil and was about to insert the third one into the soil when he heard Sophia's scream. Not only Leon, but the other girls were also attracted by Sophia's scream.

Looking closely, he saw a crayfish, which was even bigger than the one Lyon had caught before, holding a pig liver and swinging it in the air. Its two large claws held the liver tightly. Even after being pulled out of the water, it still greedily scratched at the liver and used the two small limbs next to its mouthparts, which were responsible for eating, to push the liver into its mouth.

I guess this big guy grew so fat because of his gluttony, and he didn't forget to die well even when he was about to die.

"Do you need help?"

Because of what happened to Haley before, Leon made some preparations, which was to provide crayfish-picking services to every girl who caught crayfish, to prevent these tender girls from being pinched by the crayfish's big claws and crying.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have stuck all three rods into the soil. At least he would have held one in his hand, so that he could experience the joy of the crayfish pulling the rod and being hooked.
