Chapter 672 How Nice to Be Like Me

Chapter 672 How Nice to Be Like Me
Leon was also helpless. According to Sophia's description, he seemed to have become the central air conditioner, which was not a good word.

And Sophia's attitude was not a joke, she was serious, which made Leon even more dilemma. It seemed that this girl was not easy to persuade.

"I think you're drunk. How about you take a rest for the night and talk again tomorrow when you're sober?"

Fearing that if the confrontation continued, Sophia's offensive would become more intense and he would be unable to withstand it, Lyon simply began to avoid the main issue.

"I'm sober," Sophia replied seriously. "Even if I hadn't been drinking, I would have probably come clean at this point. Especially when I saw you and Abigail texting this afternoon, I knew that if I kept holding back, I might end up being the loser."

“You didn’t succeed either.” Although Leon wanted to complain, the words that came out of his mouth were: “There is no such thing as success or failure. Love is just a feeling. It may be a short-lived impulse. I hope you can think carefully about it.”

"So, you refused?" Sophia lowered her eyes and her voice became weak.

Leon was silent, but the silence was enough to explain his meaning.

Sophia also realized this and lowered her head completely, not daring to look at Leon.

"The ground is still a little cold, go back to your room and rest."

Leon sighed, then in unison, placed his hands in front of Sofia, trying to pull her up.

"Then can we still be friends?" Seeing this, Sophia raised her head and looked at Leon eagerly and asked.

"Not only friends, but also family. I have always regarded you as my sister. I just hope you won't alienate me." Leon forced a smile and comforted Sophia.

"Yeah." Sophia also forced a smile, stretched out her hand and placed it in Leon's palm, then stood up with Leon's strong arm pulling her up.

Leon sent her to the door of the room and opened it, but did not go in. Sophia had no intention of pulling Leon into the house. The two said goodbye to each other through the door, and Sophia saw Leon going down the stairs.

"Oh." Looking at Leon's back, Sophia sighed, went back into the house, changed into pajamas, took out the resurrection stone from the safe, held it in the palm of her hand, closed her eyes and lay down on the bed.

Leon went downstairs and cleaned up the dishes in the kitchen before leaving Sophia's house.

However, Leon did not leave in a hurry. Instead, he looked around Sofia's vineyard to make sure there were no hidden threats or dangers around before rushing back to the farm along the same route.

"I forgot to ask Sophia if she wants to go crayfish fishing in a couple of days. Maybe next time." While riding his bicycle through Pelican Town, Leon suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to talk to Sophia about some things.

But it would not be a good time to go back and disturb Sophia for such a small matter, so Leon decided to call Sophia to ask for her opinion and see how Sophia was doing after this. If Sophia's condition became worse because of what happened tonight, he would have to find a way to make up for it.

Sophia, who was worried about by Leon, was lying in her mother Alice's arms in her dream with a look of grievance on her face, telling her mother Alice about her failed confession.

"For something like this, you should be prepared to be rejected from the beginning. After all, Leon is not single, he has a girlfriend."

Faced with Sophia's description, Alice felt a little distressed, but she still analyzed it with Sophia from a rational point of view.

"I know, but I just want to try it, otherwise I won't be willing to give up." Sophia answered seriously.

"He's worthy of your affection. Such a good boy is indeed rare." Robert beside him sighed: "If it were me, I might actually be a little moved."

Alice rolled her eyes at her husband, and Robert, realizing that he had accidentally exposed his thoughts, turned his head away in embarrassment, not daring to look at his wife.

"You are still young and will meet many people in the future. Your current good impression of Leon comes from his attention and care for you. In fact, if you change your way of thinking, it would be nice to really think of him as a brother. Your father and I can't take care of you in the material world. With Leon by your side, we will feel much more at ease." Alice, who had just condemned her husband with her eyes, gently patted Sophia's back to comfort her.

"But I still can't accept it. I don't want to lose." Sophia complained unconvincedly: "Anyway, they haven't gotten married yet, I still have a chance."

"Forehead"

Sophia's answer made Robert and Alice freeze.

"Do you really like him that much?" After a long silence, Robert took the initiative to speak.

"Yeah." Sophia nodded.

"Then we have to think of other ways." Robert thought seriously, not noticing the murderous look in his wife's eyes.

"Sophia, I still hope you can seriously think about whether this is worth it."

Her husband took Sophia's side and played the good guy, so Alice had to play the bad guy.

"There's no better choice anyway, so I want to give it a try," Sophia replied. "After all, no one knows what the future holds. I think I still have a chance."

"Is this boy named Leon really that charming?" Alice complained helplessly as she watched Sophia go down this path to the end.

"Go to sleep, my daughter. Have a good night's rest. I hope you can figure it out tomorrow."

After saying that, Alice placed her hand on Sophia's head and stroked it, and Sophia fell into a deep sleep.

"Who knows? But the guy who can make my baby daughter care so much must be a guy who is no less handsome than me when I was young." Seeing Sophia fall asleep, Robert relaxed a lot and joked to Alice.

"You weren't that popular back then," Alice retorted, rolling her eyes at Robert.

"Who said that? You just don't know." Robert protested unconvincedly, "I was also a big shot in Pelican Town back then."

"Haha." Alice sneered at Robert, her eyes full of contempt. "I don't know who was trying so hard to get close to me back then, and didn't give up even after being rejected several times by me."

"Who made you so outstanding? I think Sophia's personality is very similar to mine. Once she identifies what she wants, she will work hard to pursue it." Robert praised Alice with a flattering look on his face.

"I would rather Sophia was as rational as me." Alice sighed, looking at Sophia in her arms, her eyes full of heartache.

"She encountered this kind of situation when she was first in love. If she didn't get what she wanted, I can't imagine how sad she would have been at that time."

"This is also part of growing up, isn't it? We can't stop her, but I believe Leon will take good care of her." Robert stepped forward and hugged Alice to comfort her.

"I hope so," Alice murmured as she lay in her husband's arms. "I hope Sophia can figure it out herself."

"I don't think the possibility is high, but these are her own choices. We can't persuade her. We can only watch her figure it out on her own." Robert couldn't help but sigh at this moment.
