Chapter 629: The First Batch of Wine
Chapter 629 The First Batch of Wine
After staying for a while, Leon looked at the floor-to-ceiling windows on the balcony, then went back to the second bedroom and lay down. When he opened his eyes again, the sun was already rising.
After quickly washing up, Leon went downstairs and left the house. He glanced at the sprinkler outside that had started working, and felt a little emotional.
The habit of watering the plants as the first thing after getting up is gone now. It feels lonely to get up so early!
But it doesn't mean that Leon doesn't need to work just because he has a sprinkler. He still has a lot of things to do.
For example, feeding chickens.
"Wow, what a big egg."
After feeding the chickens, Leon entered the chicken coop and was shocked by an egg the size of a cantaloupe at first sight. He knew that this was a big egg, but he couldn't imagine how the hen that laid it could be so big.
"Large Egg (Animal Product): This is a very large brown egg."
"Don't do it if you don't have any work to do. It's too boring."
The system appraisal of the big egg made Leon couldn't help but complain. Sometimes the system's appraisal was to the point, and sometimes it seemed dispensable, a typical duality of gods and ghosts.
But it’s a good thing to be able to harvest big eggs. At least one-fifth of the animal sacrifice package has been completed.
The rest is to raise other poultry and livestock, and this is what Lyon needs to prepare, that is, to upgrade the chicken coop and build a livestock shed.
But it's still early, and not everyone will get up as early as Leon, so before going to find Robin to upgrade, Leon has to do something else on the farm.
After leaving the chicken coop, Leon turned and walked into the wooden house where he had lived temporarily before. The furniture and beds in the house were gone, but the combination of small barrels placed inside were not moved. After all, it would be a pity to demolish such a nice house, so using it as a brewery was also a way to make full use of it.
What surprised Lyon was that the indicator light of the combination barrel, which had been silent for a long time, suddenly lit up green, which meant that the fruit wine brewed inside was ready to be bottled and sold.
It’s a pity that these combination barrels are not as sophisticated as in the game. After brewing, they are not automatically filled into bottles directly. Instead, Lyon needs to find containers himself to fill them.
The only containers Lyon had were glass jars for storing tree branches, so if he wanted to store wine, he had to contact the Far Travel Chamber of Commerce to send him customized bottles.
Leon took out his cell phone in the cabin, found Django's phone number and called him.
"Hi, Mr. Lyon, it's rare to see you calling me. Obviously you have a business deal to discuss with me, right?" Django's enthusiastic voice came from the other end of the phone. Without any politeness, he went straight to the point.
"Yes, Mr. Django, I need to order a batch of containers for wine," Leon replied.
"It seems that Red Star Farm has completed the brewing of the first batch of wine. This is really good news. I happen to be in the warehouse in Stardew Valley, and I will deliver it to you right away. How much does Mr. Leon plan to order this time?" Django raised his voice a little when he heard this, and asked impatiently.
"First, a thousand bottles." Lyon would not delay the winemaking. Although there were only 21 combination barrels now, he could still stock up more wine bottles. After all, he had a treasure chest that could hold them all.
"Okay, 1000 empty wine bottles. What's the quality requirement? Do you want thinner or thicker glass? And are there any requirements for the glass color?" Django continued to inquire. "Clear glass, thicker. It would be even better if there were stoppers that could easily plug the bottle openings to keep the wine in the bottles longer," Leon said.
"Hahaha, of course no problem. Each bottle will come with an oak cork. This is the most basic guarantee. You can rest assured about this. Give me an hour and I will contact you again in an hour." After Django made the promise, he hung up the phone and started to help Leon.
Neither of them discussed the price of the bottle. Leon was planning to discuss it in person, but Django didn't mention it, and Leon didn't know what the situation was.
An hour was not a long time. Leon made himself breakfast, ate and drank his fill, hung up the clothes to dry, and swept the floor. Then Django called.
"The truck has arrived at the gate of Red Star Farm. It's up to you whether to unload outside or drive in."
"Pour it in."
Although moving things is just a matter of raising his hand for Lyon, as long as it can save some time, Lyon will naturally not waste his labor.
With Lyon's permission, Django, who was sitting in the truck, immediately directed the driver to drive the car to an open space, then backed into the Red Star Farm and parked the car inside the Red Star Farm, but not too deep, because near the eastern exit of the farm, most of the land had been cultivated into fields by Lyon.
Although the reserved width was sufficient for passage, Django still did not take any risks.
After opening the car door and jumping out, Jiang Ge immediately shook hands with Leon as he got out. "There are a thousand bottles in the car. It's not just the bottles and corks. We've also prepared wooden boxes to hold the bottles. The boxes are already lined with straw for protection and cushioning."
"That's thoughtful." Based on the other party's consideration details and attitude, Lyon also felt that the Far Traveling Merchant should become a giant in the field of commercial trade.
"This batch of wine bottles and packaging are all provided free of charge by the Far Travel Chamber of Commerce, so Mr. Lyon does not need to pay." Django brought another good news to Lyon.
"But I need to hand over all the wine and beverages produced here to the Far Traveling Chamber of Commerce for sale, right?" Lyon said jokingly with a smile.
"Chatting with smart people makes people feel relaxed, but I don't think this will have much impact on Mr. Leon. After all, we have been cooperating for so long, and I believe Mr. Leon doesn't want to go to other partners." Django also smiled, and his smile was very sincere and confident.
"Indeed, but I won't give it all to the Far Travel Chamber of Commerce. After all, I have to keep some of these drinks for myself to taste or give to friends." Lyon explained.
"Hahaha, of course no problem. In fact, if 700 of these 1,000 bottles can be delivered to us filled with wine, we will be very satisfied. I wonder what Mr. Leon thinks about this ratio?" Django asked.
"That's a good ratio, but I might sell a lot more than that." Lyon is not a wine lover. A bottle now and then might add some fun to his life and color to his dining table, but he can't handle drinking it every day. If there are really a thousand bottles of wine, he would only keep 5-60 bottles at most.
"Then there's nothing to worry about. Happy cooperation."
Django extended his hand again, and Leon immediately shook it. Both parties were very satisfied with the deal.
