A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 413: The Grievous Da Huang

Chapter 413: The Grievous Da Huang

The trees in the remote forests have always been extremely lush. Except for the path in the middle of the forest that has been trampled by people and has become completely hard and no grass or trees can grow, the area around the path is basically surrounded by large trees growing wildly.

Pine, oak, and maple are basically the mainstream tree types in Stardew Valley, and remote forests are naturally no exception. Therefore, when logging, the dropped acorns, maple seeds, and pine nuts also become a guarantee for the felling of trees.

To ensure that remote forests will not become wasteland due to Lyon's logging, as long as the wood piles are removed and the fallen seeds are buried in the locations where the native trees are, life will be recycled again.

And such a cycle does not take too long. If a tree wants to grow into a big tree in the outside world, it may take more than ten years, but in Stardew Valley, it can be completed in two or three months.

If a tree's growth cycle is too long, Lyon will definitely move to a relatively flat area like the coal forest to cut down trees, rather than touching trees in remote forests.

The trees in the remote forest grow on the back mountain of the farm, and below them is the main road into and out of Stardew Valley. If a large number of trees are cut down and soil erosion occurs due to heavy rain, there may be geological disasters such as landslides. Leon dare not create such a potential threat for his own selfish interests.

The special feature of its rapid growth is the reason why Lyon dares to cut down trees here.

Although the axe has not been upgraded, it is still quite reliable for chopping trees. After chopping down four trees in a row, Lyon glanced at the axe blade. There was no sign of curling and it was still as sharp as before.

This made Leon once again marvel at the power and uniqueness of the system tools, and he was even more impressed by Clint, who was able to upgrade and refine the system tools and give them the properties of the corresponding metals.

It's just a pity that Clint is a socially anxious and honest man. He has not found a wife at his age. If he ends up living alone, what will happen if his future sons, daughters, and grandchildren inherit the farm but cannot find anyone to make such special tools?
I can't inherit my tool, it won't be enough. It seems like maybe I can help Clint find a wife.

Forget about Emily. It's obvious that she is not interested in Clint. Forced marriage is not sweet, and it will easily hurt Clint's self-esteem. It would be best to find a girl who is compatible with Clint.

This would allow Clint to complete his lifelong event while also ensuring his family's inherited forging skills would not be interrupted, giving him the best of both worlds.

While he was daydreaming, Lyon's axe did not stop. It moved forward from east to west along the remote forest. All kinds of trees along the way fell to the ground under the axe blade and turned into standard wood that was collected by Lyon.

After chopping trees from morning till the sun was high in the sky, Lyon put away his axe, looked at his backpack which had occupied two slots, totaling 1760 pieces of wood and 420 bottles of sap, and stopped chopping trees.

This wood is enough to last for a long time, and if more is cut down, the remote forests near the northern mountains will become bare.

If the trees had not been planted on the original site, Lyon was worried that Linus would find out about the cleared land in a few days and come to him to ask for an explanation.

After all, the old man had emphasized to Leon the importance of protecting the balance of nature.

Logging is not an easy job. After chopping down so many trees in the morning, Leon's body was covered with some sawdust from the axe blade, and his clothes and pants were already soaked with sweat. Although he didn't smell anything special, that was because he was used to it. If someone else smelled it, they would probably cover their noses and complain that Leon's food was rotten.

So the moment Leon stopped, he rushed back to the farm, took a shower and changed his clothes, and felt much more refreshed.

With his hair still wet, Leon planned to prepare lunch for himself. After entering the kitchen, before he had time to look through the refrigerator, Leon noticed the dog food on the cupboard next to the refrigerator. Then he slapped his forehead and remembered that he had left Dahuang at Emily's house.

"I almost forgot I have a dog!"

Leon, who had just remembered that he was also a dog owner, hurried out of the kitchen, took out his bicycle, slung it over, and pedaled towards Pelican Town. Once in town, he headed straight for No. 2 Willow Lane. The journey, which should have taken 20 to 30 minutes, took only 15 minutes as Leon pedaled vigorously to reach Emily's door.

After knocking on the door three times, Leon waited quietly for Emily to open the door, without any doubt whether Emily was at home or not, because even standing outside the door, Leon could hear the laughter of Emily and Haley.

Soon, the door was opened, and Emily appeared in front of Leon with a blushing face, holding a pocket-sized dress in her hand.

"Leon, you're here. I was planning to put a skirt on your puppy. What do you think of this skirt? Does it look good?"

When she saw Leon, Emily immediately showed off the little skirt in her hand and asked about Leon's feelings.

"Well, it's pretty, but Dahuang is a male dog, and the skirt and other things don't match his gender." Leon looked a little embarrassed when he heard this. While agreeing with Emily, he did not forget to remind Emily that Dahuang was a male dog.

"It should be okay. After all, it's so cute. It will look great in a skirt." Emily muttered with some regret.

"Thank you for taking care of it for me all morning. I'm done with my work and don't have any plans for the afternoon, so I plan to take it back. I'll wear this skirt next time.

Leon saw Emily's regret, but pretended not to see it, because if he really followed Emily's idea, Dahuang might be socially dead.

Ordinary dogs might not care about these things, but with Dahuang's intelligence, Leon felt that it would definitely remember this incident for the rest of its life, and even regard it as a black history. When the time comes, its owner Leon, who put it in such a socially deadly situation, will be hated for a long time.

Moreover, when Leon was standing at the door, he had already seen the excited and aggrieved look of Da Huang who was struggling in Haley's arms.

It was as if he was blocked in an alley by several strong men, but suddenly he saw the look in the eyes of the uncle in the hat when he appeared, which made Lyon feel guilty. He dared not let Dahuang continue to stay in this Pansi Cave.

"Hey? Are you going to pick it up? Why don't you leave it with me for a while and come back to take it back in the evening." Hearing that Leon was here to pick up the dog, Emily hurriedly dissuaded Leon.

"I still have to train it. After all, it just arrived at the farm, and there are still many necessary things for it to understand. If you really like it, I'll bring it to play with you next time after it's trained." Leon explained, shaking his head.

"Okay then." Emily glanced helplessly at Dawang in Haley's arms, her eyes full of reluctance.

Haley also heard the conversation between the two and subconsciously hugged Dawang tightly, as if she didn't want Leon to take Dawang away.

It’s a pity that Dahuang doesn’t like being held like this. He is a dog, not a human. If he were a man, he might feel happy in the arms of a beauty, but as a dog, he only feels that this kind of pampering is a burden.

Compared to these terrible women, Da Huang felt that his own master, who liked to preach but at least would not touch him, was more pleasing to him.

I was a bit busy this morning, so here is a belated update. I will post two more updates later, so don't worry, brothers.
