Chapter 411: Three Rules (skip)
After Dawang had drunk his fill, Leon tested Dawang's ability to understand human language and his obedience.

For example, he gave Dahuang simple commands such as shaking hands, lying down, squatting, and turning around. Although Dahuang seemed reluctant, he still completed the corresponding operations according to Leon's instructions.

"Well, he is obedient, but not much. However, he is very smart." It is actually very surprising that a two-month-old puppy can achieve this. Leon is actually quite satisfied that Dahuang has such understanding ability.

Then Leon took Dahuang out of the kitchen and came to the doghouse he built for Dahuang. He asked Dahuang, "Are you satisfied with this doghouse?"

Upon hearing this, Dahuang glanced at the slightly shabby doghouse in front of him, crawled in and walked around inside, then lay down and rolled around on the soft cushion made of hay and tattered clothes, and finally ran out, circling in front of Leon and wagging his tail, looking very happy.

Lyon breathed a sigh of relief when he saw this, and then gestured to Da Huang to follow.

"This is your home now, so I have to make three rules with you. The first is that you can't mess around in this field. You can pass by, but you can't harm any plants. If I find out, I'll hang you up and whip you. Do you understand?"

Lyon, squatting beside the field, pointed at the large green field in front of him and gave instructions to Dahuang.

"Woof woof woof!" Dawang wagged his tail and nodded to show that he understood. Then Leon took Dawang to the chicken coop, pushed open the fence door and went in with Dawang.

Seeing Leon's appearance, the hens walking in the fenced-in area outside the chicken coop all came towards Leon, but Dahuang rushed to the front of these hens and growled, making these hens dare not get any closer.

"These chickens are also residents of the farm, with a similar status to you, so you can't treat them as toys or prey, otherwise we might not have eggs to eat in the future. Besides, these chickens are not cheap. If you dare to hurt or maim one, I will still have to hang you up and beat you, understand?"

Although he was very satisfied with Dahuang's behavior of protecting his master, Leon still had to explain the situation of the hens to Dahuang. Otherwise, if there was a chaotic situation, it would not be conducive to the hens staying emotionally stable and happy, and this would affect the hens' enthusiasm for laying eggs.

Upon hearing this, Dahuang came up to Leon and rubbed his trouser leg with his little head, as if he was trying to express his harmlessness by acting coquettishly. Then he trotted to the hens, sniffed at each hen, and finally ran back and stayed quietly by Leon's side.

The hens that had just been intimidated by Dawang and dared not move forward now moved closer to Lyon, as if they were no longer afraid of Dawang's presence, which surprised Lyon a little.

He didn't know much about how animals get along with each other, but the fact that the hens were no longer afraid of him after Dawang just sniffed around made Leon quite curious about how Dawang did it.

After squatting down and stroking the hens, Leon took Dahuang out of the chicken coop and returned to the wooden house.

"The last thing I want to say is don't pee or poop anywhere. If you need to relieve yourself, find a small corner. Don't pee near the doghouse or the kitchen in the cabin. And don't pee everywhere to mark your territory. Do you understand?"

Picking up Da Huang, Leon earnestly stated his final request to Da Huang, while glancing at the child's male characteristics: "If you don't obey, I will go to the animal hospital to castrate you, understand?"

"Woo woo woo." Upon hearing this, Dahuang immediately shrank his head and whimpered in grievance, then waved his front paws vigorously, as if trying to make Leon give up this terrible idea by acting coquettishly.

"This is a warning, not a neuter. If you behave yourself and don't make any mistakes, I'll even find you some beautiful wives. So for your own future, put away your mischievous thoughts. Besides the chicken coop and farmland, there are so many other places on the farm for you to have fun. Don't be stupid."

Leon rubbed Dahuang's head, then put it down and continued.

"I have to go out and do some things during the day. You can see where the dog food is. If you are hungry and I don't come back, you can eat it yourself. Do you understand?" "Woof!" Dahuang nodded to show his understanding.

But he still rubbed against Leon's feet, as if to express his reluctance and attachment.

Lyon felt a little reluctant about this. After all, although Dahuang was smart, he was only two months old. It was indeed inappropriate to let him stay on the farm alone, so Lyon picked up Dahuang.

"Never mind. I'll take you to meet your future mistress. She can keep you company while I'm gone. I hope your cleverness isn't just for me."

After muttering something to Dawang in his arms, Leon carried Dawang to the kitchen, packed two bags of dog food into his backpack, and brought Dawang's dog bowl along. Then he got on his bike and headed towards Pelican Town with Dawang in his arms.

After arriving at Pierre's grocery store, Leon noticed that Pierre's grocery store was locked today.

"I'm going out for something, so I'm taking a day off."

The sign hanging on the door revealed the fact that Pierre's family was not in Stardew Valley today. Leon then remembered that today was the day Abigail went to the city. He had known it before, but Leon had forgotten it. Only when he saw the sign did he remember it.

"Well, since he's not at home, how about I put it in your backpack?" Lyon said, looking at Da Huang, who was supposed to be brought to Abigail as a surprise and entrusted to Abigail's care.

"Awoo." Upon hearing this, Dahuang shook his head like a rattle and went straight into Leon's arms. He was obviously very reluctant to enter the backpack, which surprised Leon.

"Okay, if you don't let me go, I'll find someone to help me take care of you during the day."

Since Dawang was unwilling, Lyon did not force it. After comforting Dawang, Lyon rode his bike to find another guardian who could take care of Dawang and who would not hate small animals.

"Leon, good morning. What's going on?"

After Emily opened the door and saw the guy knocking on the door early in the morning, her expression immediately became much more enthusiastic.

"Good morning, Emily. I have a lot of things to do during the day, but I'm worried about this little guy staying alone on the farm, so I'm going to ask you to help take care of him for a day. I'll take him back when I'm done. I wonder if you're willing to do that."

Leon first greeted Emily, then explained the situation and showed the dog in his arms to Emily.

"Wow, what a cute puppy. Do you want me to help you take care of it? If so, I will definitely not refuse." Emily fell in love with Dahuang at the first sight. After all, Huskies are really cute when they are young.

"Yes, that's it. It's the puppy I recently adopted. Its name is Da Huang. It's very well-behaved and smart. It shouldn't cause you any trouble. I've also prepared dog food and other things myself. You just need to add some water to its bowl when it's thirsty."

Leon handed Dawang to Emily. Although Dawang was a little resistant, he did not struggle too much after being gently held in Emily's arms. He just looked at Leon with his little eyes, as if he had a thousand words of resentment that he couldn't express.
