Chapter 405 Don’t Plant Flags
Chapter 405 Don’t Plant Flags
Everyone cheered and praised Guts upon hearing his words, which made him smile non-stop.
Then Gus invited Leon and his group to go to a private room in the back. After all, there were too many people, and if they stayed in the hall, they might have to sit at two tables.
But Guts didn't intend to separate such a lively small team. After arranging everyone into the box, Guts patted Leon's backpack hard and left the word "come on" in his ear as encouragement before leaving.
This made Leon laugh and cry as he looked at Guts's departing back.
If I remember correctly, Gus did the same thing when we ate in this private room last time, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he gave me a thumbs up.
They are all men, how could Leon not understand what Guts meant? But even if he understood, what would it matter? Guts didn't even look at who was sitting next to him.
As soon as they entered the private room, Abigail occupied the seat on Leon's left. Leah was originally planning to sit on Leon's right, but after seeing Abigail's sharp eyes, she consciously ran to the other side and sat with Penny.
But this doesn't mean that there is no one on Leon's right. At least Emily doesn't buy it. She sits down confidently and starts chatting with Leon.
On the surface, Leon was chatting with Emily calmly, but in fact, his left hand was frantically comforting Abigail, because under the table, which was in the blind spot of everyone's view, Abigail's little feet had already kicked Leon lightly several times.
Leon was sweating profusely during what should have been a lively meal. Especially today, Emily had become more enthusiastic towards Leon for some reason. Not only did she frequently add more food to Leon's plate, she even wiped his mouth once.
If Leon hadn't held down Abigail's legs, Abigail would have stood up and confronted Emily head-on.
Naturally, this situation was clearly seen by everyone else at the table, but everyone except Sophia tacitly pretended not to notice it, chatting among themselves, occasionally glancing at Leon and the two girls beside him.
Feeling that he was almost full, Leon immediately stood up and left the private room under the pretext of going out to see if the things in the car were still there. The first thing Leon did after leaving the room was to run straight to the outside of the Stardrop Salon, got into the car quickly, and breathed a sigh of relief.
"As expected, a car is a man's last refuge. It feels so damn good here."
Without the pressure from being attacked from both sides, without those strange and complicated gazes, with only the soft backrest and the handy steering wheel, Leon's expression was completely relaxed at this moment.
He really didn't expect Emily to be so enthusiastic at this dinner. This sudden change in attitude made Leon still confused about what Emily was thinking.
But one thing is certain, that is, when this team-building activity is over and Leon and Abigail are alone together, Leon will be in trouble.
"Ugh."
Thinking of this, Leon sighed, and then had no intention of going back, so he waited in the car for the girls to come back.
Leon didn't have to wait long. In about ten minutes, the girls came out of the Stardrop Salon in a group. Emily and Hayley walked together, Leah and Penny walked together, and Abigail walked alone at the end.
I didn't see Sophia. She must be at the Stardrop, chatting with Guts about the one-year all-you-can-drink coupon for Joja Cola that she had specially chosen for Guts.
"Leon, I had a great time today. Thank you."
The girls all arrived, and Emily was the first to speak to Leon in the car.
The other girls also expressed their gratitude in the same way. Leon smiled and said it was nothing. After the pleasantries ended, Emily and Hailey took the lead in saying goodbye, and then the other girls did the same.
Leon waved goodbye to everyone one by one, got out of the car and helped Penny take down the oven she had won in the lottery and handed it to her. In the end, only Abigail was left.
But Abigail didn't say anything. She got into the passenger seat silently, then turned her head to the right and didn't look at Leon.
"Are you jealous?" Leon naturally couldn't let Abigail remain silent, so he reached out and held Abigail's left hand and asked softly.
"No." Abigail didn't resist Leon's hand holding, but she didn't turn around either.
"Why are you ignoring me?" Lyon asked.
Abigail did not answer immediately, and Leon was not anxious. He waited silently. Sure enough, after a short silence, Abigail turned her head and looked at Leon with a look of grievance and spoke.
"I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at myself. After you left, Emily suddenly asked me if I had confessed to you. I said no, and then she smiled and told me that it was good, and she could compete with me fairly from then on."
"Huh?!" Leon looked at Abigail with the same expression as a black man with a question mark face.
He really didn't expect that such an explosive thing would happen in the box after he left.
Putting aside why Emily would directly approach Abigail to challenge her, the mere fact that Emily said she wanted to compete fairly with Abigail made Leon sweat.
However, these are not what Lyon needs to consider now. Abigail is obviously frustrated. The current priority is to stabilize Abigail's emotions first.
"That's what she said, but is it really fair? Even though you didn't confess, we're already boyfriend and girlfriend, right? That's the truth, so why should you feel wronged? Shouldn't you be secretly laughing at Emily for overestimating herself?"
Listening to Leon's words, Abigail was stunned for a moment, and then suddenly slapped her thigh: "Yes, we are already boyfriend and girlfriend, but we haven't made it public, so why should I worry about it!"
Thinking of this, Abigail suddenly perked up: "I am now just like the boss of the Prairie King. Emily is just a little cowboy who has no props and no upgraded weapons. She has no competitiveness at all."
"Don't make such villainous remarks and flags casually, it's easy to backfire." Lyon couldn't help but complain when he saw this.
"But the advantage is indeed mine." Abigail replied as a matter of course.
"You shouldn't think about competing with her. There's absolutely no need for that." Leon reminded Abigail helplessly.
"After all, you've already reached the finish line, and she's still at the starting line. What's the point of arguing with her? Are you planning to break up with me first, and then seriously compete with her to see who will become my girlfriend first?"
"Of course not. That's right. Why would I think about competing with her when I obviously already won, hehe." Abigail finally reacted at this time. She leaned towards Leon with a smug look on her face, stretched her neck and pecked Leon on the face.
"What's yours is mine now."
