Chapter 377: Fraud!

"What I said is true, and you saw me being pulled back by a mysterious force and thrown onto your bed. Why didn't you ask me why?" Leon reminded Abigail with a shrug.

"Yeah, I was stunned when you flew over here just now. You were like a kite tied with a rope. How did you do it?" Abigail recalled the scene when Leon was about to escape successfully but was suddenly pulled back by some force, and asked Leon curiously.

"I've been tricked, but I can't tell you who." Leon shook his head. Although he didn't know whether it was Lasmodes who had tricked him, Leon still didn't intend to betray the guardian.

Lyon can tell the difference between having a full meal and not having a full meal every time. In order to wash away this little grievance, he exposed Rasmodesma.

If Leon goes to Lasmodes to ask questions or seek help from then on, he probably won’t even be able to knock on the door of the Mage Tower.

"Then can you explain why you are here, Mr. Secret Keeper Lyon?" Abigail rolled her eyes and then questioned Lyon.

"Well, it's a long story, so I'll make it short. Actually, I accidentally fell off the cliff behind your house." Leon paused, then began to explain.

There is no way. Rasmodesmus Lyon cannot betray him, and Linus Lyon does not want to betray him. Both sides of his hand are flesh, and he will have to take the blame in the end.

Sure enough, Abigail rolled her eyes again when she heard what Leon said, because Leon's reason was too bad. Even if she was willing to give Leon a way out, she could not accept it.

But it was time for Abigail to teach Leon a lesson and let him know what honesty meant.

Leon suddenly grabbed Abigail’s arm and said, “Don’t worry about my problem now. We need to talk about the contents of this letter.”

"I don't want to talk to you." Abigail shook her head. It was not that she was angry, but she was afraid that Leon still wanted to finish reading the letter. If the untriggered curse was really triggered by then, Leon would be in danger.

“Whether you want to or not, I have to talk to you.” Leon pulled Abigail to sit next to him and pointed at the letter in Abigail’s hand and said.

"Although I haven't finished reading it, I still know the general content. This is a letter from a witch who claims to be willing to teach you magic, right?"

"Yes." Seeing Leon's serious expression, Abigail couldn't refuse, especially since Leon had been holding her arm with one hand, and she couldn't run away even if she wanted to.

"Would you like to hear my opinion?" Lyon asked.

"Okay." At this point, Abigail knew that she could no longer hide it from Leon.

"Okay, do you remember what I told you about what happened when Gus, Willy and I went out to sea?" Leon nodded and then asked Abigail.

"Remember, you destroyed a pirate who turned into a giant snake." Abigail replied immediately.

"Then do you remember what I mentioned in it, that Old John was actually a victim, and that he was tricked by the witch into eating the mutated Star Fruit and eventually turned into a beast?" Leon continued to ask.

"It seems to be the case." Abigail recalled for a moment before she could barely remember this episode. It was not Abigail's fault. When Leon mentioned this, he just mentioned it lightly without describing any relevant details.

"I killed that witch's test subject, so she seems to hold a grudge against me. Although the magic-side Inquisition has issued a warrant for this witch, I haven't heard of her arrest so far. So, a witch who can do magic and is probably not a good person is hiding in the dark, and is wanted because of me. Do you think she will seek revenge on me?" Leon asked Abigail with a serious face.

"I think so." Abigail nodded and replied.

"Yes, but she doesn't dare to come to Stardew Valley, so if she really wants to take revenge on me, do you think she will find a way to trick me out?" Leon continued to say to Abigail.

"You mean to say that the witch who wrote to me is actually the bad witch. She doesn't want to teach me magic, but uses me as bait to lure you out of Stardew Valley, right?" At this time, Abigail also understood what Leon wanted to express in this series of questions.

"That's possible." Leon answered vaguely, because he was not sure whether the witch who wrote the letter was the wanted witch because of his report.

After all, this is Stardew Valley, the area where the guardian Rasmodes lives in seclusion, and Abigail is the reserve disciple chosen by Rasmodes. If it is really the witch's plan, Rasmodes should know about it.

But if she wasn't the wanted witch, which witch would dare to compete with Rasmodes for an apprentice? Or even make such a move in front of Rasmodes in Stardew Valley?

So Leon felt that it was very likely that Abigail had received the letter from Rasmodesmus, but he didn't know whether he wanted to continue hiding himself, or he was waiting for the witch to show up and catch her in the act, and then he used Abigail to fish.

No matter which one, Leon was going to ask Rasmodes and communicate with the guardian at the same time.

After all, a thief can only steal for a thousand days, so you can't be on guard against thieves for a thousand days. No matter whether the witch who targeted Abigail was good or bad, Leon had no intention of letting this matter end here.

"Then what should I do now?" After hearing Leon's answer, Abigail realized that her expectations these days might be a trap. Although she was angry, she seemed to have no power to resist this kind of person with supernatural powers.

So now she thought that the only person who could help her was Leon.

"Don't worry, I'll go with you to Yuba's forging station later, and I'm also planning to call for reinforcements, so there will be absolutely no problem with safety."

Leon comforted Abigail very calmly.

"Okay, I believe you." Abigail nodded repeatedly. Since Leon dared to say that, it proved that he was very confident, so she had nothing to worry about.

Moreover, Abigail wanted to see what kind of reinforcements Leon could call for. After all, they were guarding against a witch whose identity was unknown, so she should at least be a magician or a top explorer.

"So now you wait here for me, I'll go call someone." After Leon said that, he let go of her hand, letting Abigail move freely, and then he walked to the window, opened it, and prepared to return the same way.

"You've been discovered, why don't you go through the main gate?" Seeing that Leon was actually trying to climb over the wall, Abigail couldn't help but ask.

"You discovered me, but where are your family? When I walk out of your room, how are you going to explain it to me?" Leon complained to Abigail.

"Okay, go quickly and come back soon, I'll wait for you." Abigail only thought of this at this moment, and stuck out her tongue awkwardly to remind Leon.
