A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 361 The Girl's Distress

Chapter 361 The Girl's Distress

After leaving the grocery store, Leon couldn't help but turn around and look at Pierre in the store. He always felt that Pierre was acting weird.

After Leon left, Pierre put down the pen in his hand and said helplessly to Abigail who was hiding in the corner of the shelf: "Okay, he's gone."

"Well, thank you, Dad." Abigail then walked out from behind the shelf, stared at the empty door for a moment, and then thanked Pierre.

"Didn't you go to Haley's house to play together yesterday? Why did you hide when you saw Leon appear today?" Pierre couldn't help but ask with concern when he saw that his daughter was not in a good state.

"It's okay, I just don't want to see him for the time being." Abigail shook her head to indicate that she was fine.

"Hey, you young people have your own ideas, and I won't interfere. I just hope you are happy. If Leon really bullies you, just tell me. My dad learned boxing when he was young, and I can help you teach him a lesson." Pierre rolled up his sleeves to show his slightly fat arms and assured Abigail.

“Dad, you may not be able to beat him. Okay, if Leon comes to see me again, just say I’m not at home. I’m going back to my room.”

Abigail was actually quite touched that Pierre wanted to stand up for her, but considering the strength of her father compared to Leon, she was afraid that Leon would kneel down and beg his father not to die.

After talking to Pierre, Abigail returned to the room, locked the door, and found a letter from under the bed.

"Can I really learn magic?"

Abigail muttered to herself as she looked at the letter.

When she came back last night, she just returned to the room and saw a crow knocking on the glass outside the window with the letter in its mouth. Out of curiosity, Abigail opened the window and intended to let the crow in.

But the crow had no intention of entering the house. It threw the letter in its mouth into the house and flew away, leaving only this mysterious letter.

But when Abigail opened it and read the contents of the letter, she was shocked, because from the description in the letter, a witch seemed to be optimistic about her talent and was ready to accept her as a disciple. In return, Abigail would have to leave Stardew Valley and follow the witch to wander the world.

Originally Abigail thought it was someone's prank, but the witch seemed to have guessed Abigail's suspicion, so she attached a spell at the end of the letter as a gift and a certificate.

After trying the magic spell called Sleep, Abigail discovered that the hamster David, whom she had chosen as her target, actually fell asleep under the influence of the spell. You know, before the spell was cast, the hamster David was still running hard on the wheel.

After verifying the effectiveness of the spell, Abigail was sure that the witch was a real witch who could perform magic.

So now she is hesitating whether to take this witch as her teacher and then leave Stardew Valley to embark on a journey of learning magic.

This was also the reason why she didn't dare to see Leon. She was afraid that Leon would notice something was wrong from her expression, and then start to investigate the reason for her abnormality, and thus discover the existence of the letter.

The witch who sent the letter to herself clearly stated in the letter that she did not want others to discover her existence. If anyone other than Abigail saw the letter, that outsider would suffer the curse specially prepared by the witch.

After taking out the letter from the envelope and reading it again, Abigail put it away and hid it in the most secluded corner under the bed.

The letter stated that Abigail had three days from the moment she received it to consider her decision. If she was willing to study magic, she should travel to the Yuba Forge in the Calico Desert and wait for the witch to pick her up. If she did not show up within three days, the witch would assume that Abigail had given up the opportunity to study magic and would not contact her again.

"There are only three days to consider. It's so difficult to choose."

Thinking of this, Abigail couldn't help but cover her head and curl up in bed.

In fact, she really wanted to learn magic, because magic must be very cool and powerful. If she learned magic and became a witch, she could go on adventures in all kinds of mysterious places without restraint, look for treasures, and fulfill her childhood dreams.

However, to learn magic, one has to leave Stardew Valley and follow the witch to travel the world. Abigail is not sure how long it will take, but she knows that the unit of time should be calculated in years.

Even if it only took a year, Abigail couldn't believe what the situation would be like in a year.

Maybe by then Leon would have forgotten about him, or maybe by then Leon would have gotten together with a girl in the town and even had a wedding?
Thinking of this, Abigail couldn't help but grit her teeth.

This was why she was so conflicted. If Leon had not appeared in Stardew Valley, perhaps Abigail would have gone to the Calico Desert early the next morning after receiving the letter to wait for the witch to welcome her onto the path of magic. But now, she actually hesitated.

The distressed girl tossed and turned in bed, unable to make a final decision.

Leon, who was one of the sources of the girl's distress, now set out on the road to the coal forest and headed straight for Marnie's ranch.

When Leon arrived outside Marnie's ranch, he thought about what he would say later and then knocked on the door of Marnie's house.

Soon, Mani opened the door and saw Leon appear. She smiled kindly and asked Leon: "Good afternoon, Leon."

"Good afternoon, Mani, can I come in and sit for a while?" Leon did not directly state the purpose of his visit, but pretended to be a neighbor who came to visit.

"Of course, you're welcome, Leon, come in and sit down." Mani made way for the passage into the house without hesitation and brought a chair for Leon.

"Do you want to talk to me about raising chickens?"

After Leon sat down, Mani found a chair and sat opposite Leon, asking Leon.

"Yes." Leon nodded and replied.

Upon hearing this, Mani immediately showed an expression of "as expected", but she did not perfunctorily answer Leon, nor did she feel angry. Instead, she happily told Leon some precautions for raising chickens in the chicken coop, and even added some tips on how to make the hens in the chicken coop produce bigger and better eggs.

Leon just listened with a smile. Although this was not the main purpose of his visit, he would not mind if there were unexpected gains. After all, one can never stop learning.
