A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 334 People always change
After returning to the farm, Leon immediately threw all the fish in his backpack into the shipping box. Then he took a shower and went to the kitchen to check on the condition of the combination buckets.
After a day of fermentation, the kitchen was not filled with the smell of fermentation as Leon had imagined, nor did he smell any other strange odors.
This made Leon breathe a sigh of relief. It seemed that the barrel was well sealed.
After leaving the kitchen, Leon went to the chicken coop to check on his chickens and found that the little guys had all fallen asleep together. Then he returned to the cabin, watched TV for a while, and finally went to bed after his hair was dry.
When the sunlight of the next day shone into the house, Leon immediately opened his eyes.
After daily washing, he would water the plants, feed the chickens and pick mushrooms. Unexpectedly, Lyon saw a big red apple in the cave today.
“Apple (fruit): A refreshing fruit, good for making juice and vinegar.”
"Oh, you've paid the rent!" After putting the apple into his backpack, Leon raised his head and looked at the fruit bats hanging upside down and resting above his head. He was quite happy.
It seems that this group of fruit bats will indeed bring fruits. The two harvests have confirmed to Leon that these fruit bats are not on strike, but just need some time. It turns out that some things cannot be rushed.
After leaving with the apple, Leon began to prepare breakfast. He didn't know whether Abigail, who would be coming later, had eaten breakfast at home, so Leon prepared an extra breakfast for one person.
The breakfast is simple, fried eggs with fried dough sticks. It is a bit oily, but it is really delicious.
But when Lyon finished eating, he still didn't see Abigail. Looking at the remaining fried dough sticks and fried eggs on the table, Lyon put them into his backpack.
Then he looked at the time and it was just eight o'clock, so Leon rode his bike and prepared to go see what was going on with Abigail. She was so active yesterday, but why didn't she show up at this hour on the day of departure?
As soon as Leon left the farm, he saw Abigail walking towards him with a small bag in her hand.
"I thought you were sleeping in." Seeing Abigail's appearance, Leon breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Have you had breakfast?"
"I'm a little late because I had breakfast," Abigail explained. "But it's not too late. The first bus doesn't leave for another hour, so we have plenty of time."
"It's not too late, but it's a pity that I prepared breakfast for you." Leon explained.
"Hey? Did you prepare breakfast for me? What is it?" Abigail exclaimed when she heard that, and then hurriedly asked.
"Try this? It's a little oily, but delicious." Leon took out a fried dough stick from his backpack and handed it to Abigail.
Abigail's first reaction after receiving the thick dough stick was: "Is it a baguette? But why is it so light? It feels hollow inside."
"Youtiao, try it first." Leon didn't care about Abigail's misunderstanding. After all, no one in the world could make this thing except himself.
It’s not that frying dough sticks is difficult, but most pastry chefs can’t remember this cooking method. After all, they basically bake dim sum and rarely use frying.
"Wow, so crispy and delicious. It would be even better if you could sprinkle some sugar on it." Abigail took a bite and tasted it, then gave her suggestion.
"Wow, you can think of adding sugar." Lyon was a little surprised when he heard that, because fried dough sticks can really be eaten with sugar.
"Of course, it will be sweeter with sugar. I like sweet things," Abigail replied.
"Then bring your own candy next time. I only eat the original flavor." Lyon complained bluntly.
"It's okay. I'm not picky. As long as it tastes good, that's fine." Abigail easily put a fried dough stick into her stomach and stretched out her hand again, silently asking Leon for the second fried dough stick. She didn't know what politeness was at all.
Leon didn't make things difficult for Abigail. He handed her another fried dough stick while worrying about her stomach: "Don't eat more after you ate this morning, otherwise I'm afraid you'll get sick." "Don't worry, I have a strong digestive ability." Abigail boasted to Leon very proudly: "Even if you give me two more, I can still eat it."
"Enough is enough." Leon reminded Abigail helplessly, and then rushed to the bus stop with her.
As soon as the two arrived at the bus stop, Leon heard someone greeting him.
"Good morning, Mr. Lyon."
"Good morning, Claire." When Leon saw that the person greeting him was Claire, he naturally responded to her greeting.
"Are you planning to go out?" Claire looked at Leon and Abigail standing together with a surprised expression.
"Well, let's go to the Calico Desert and get some stuff with her," Leon explained.
"Then I wish you a pleasant journey." Claire smiled and nodded at the two of them, then quickened her pace and headed towards Pelican Town.
After Claire left, Abigail stared at Leon suspiciously and asked, "Who is she?"
"Claire, the new cashier recruited by Joja Supermarket." Leon replied.
"You two have a good relationship? And why did you get to know the new employee of the Joja family so quickly?" Abigail couldn't help but complain.
"Our relationship is just average, we just meet occasionally. And is it strange to know her? After all, the town is so small, it's inevitable that we will have intersections, not to mention that I occasionally go to Joja's supermarket to buy things." Leon explained to Abigail helplessly, complaining at the same time.
"And you said you wouldn't be like your father and regard the Joja family as enemies, right?"
"I'm not that extreme, but I do dislike Joja's Mart. After all, its presence has caused a significant drop in business. And every day my dad keeps telling me that Joja's Mart's products are of poor quality and that if it weren't for the low prices, he wouldn't be able to steal their customers. It's so annoying."
Abigail complained with a look of resentment.
"I think the existence of Joja's Supermarket is a good thing. After all, not everyone only cares about quality and not price. We need to cater to the spending power of different consumers."
Although Leon doesn't like Joja's very much, what he dislikes is Joja's philosophy and work pressure. He still maintains a normal attitude towards Joja's products, otherwise he would not occasionally go to Joja's supermarket to buy things.
"Well, Jody said something similar, but there's nothing we can do about it. The cost of the goods at home is there, and it's not easy to lower the price. Although I want to compress the profit margin a little to get everyone to shop at Pierre's Grocery Store, everything in the store is decided by Dad." Abigail sighed helplessly when she heard this.
"Then consider these issues when you inherit this grocery store in the future," Leon suggested.
"My father is still young, and who can predict the future? I won't have the time to run this grocery store by then." Abigail complained.
"Is it because you think you won't have time to inherit because of the issue of getting married?" Leon joked.
"Maybe. I don't know. Let's take it one step at a time."
To Leon's surprise, Abigail actually admitted it, which made Leon a little puzzled. If he remembered correctly, when he chatted with Abigail before, she was a typical loner. Not to mention getting married, she even disliked finding a boyfriend.
“Isn’t it time for you to talk about the troubles of love?” Leon couldn’t help but complain to Abigail.
"People always change." Abigail glanced at Liang secretly, then looked around as if nothing had happened and answered.
"Oh." Leon naturally noticed Abigail's little action, but he did not say anything, because once some things are pointed out, it is difficult to turn back.
