Chapter 271 Drawing Easter Eggs
Chapter 271 Drawing Easter Eggs
Lewis pushed Leon after he finished speaking: "I'm going outside to supervise the construction team. I'll leave first. Leon will be handed over to you."
After saying that, Lewis ran away, leaving Leon here alone.
Fortunately, Leon was thick-skinned enough, and since everyone here was familiar to him, he wasn't too nervous. He went to the side and looked at the large basket of unpainted eggs on the table and asked, "Do you have any oil paints? I can help you too."
"Here." Emily handed over her oil paint pen.
"Then you take a break." Leon took the oil paint pen calmly, pulled a stool and found a separate place to sit down.
"I have some prepared ones." Emily said, and then she found her bag on the stool behind her and took out a new set of oil paints.
"Are there any requirements for the color of the painting?" Seeing this, Leon didn't say anything and turned to ask Jody. After all, this was his first time painting Easter eggs and he had no experience or relevant knowledge.
"No, it just needs to be nice and eye-catching." Jody explained with a smile, and then he took out a clean egg and used oil paint pens to add layers of green, red and purple to it in front of Leon, making it look fancy.
Lyon followed suit, but when he was stained with paint, he keenly smelled the scent of the paint.
It's not pungent, but rather has some floral and grassy scent, and it's obviously not a chemical seasoning.
"All plant-based pigments?"
Leon, who noticed this, couldn't help but ask.
"Wow, how did you guess that?" Emily asked Leon in surprise.
"I smelled it." Leon answered truthfully. Ever since he ate the Star Fruit, he found that his five senses had been significantly enhanced, so he could easily capture even the slightest smell and identify it based on the memory in his brain.
"Your nose is so good? You can smell such a faint scent? It seems that I can ask you for help when I make perfume in the future." Haley looked at Leon in surprise when she heard this, and at the same time invited Leon.
Looking at the way Leon spoke, Haili seemed to have thought of something, and added before Leon finished speaking: "It's paid."
"Sure, sure. I'm the most helpful person." Lyon, who was about to refuse, changed his tone instantly when he heard the word "paid".
Haley glanced at Leon with a sneer, feeling very proud. She felt that she had found Leon's weakness.
Jodie and Marnie were watching Leon chatting with Emily Haley with aunt smiles on their faces. Leon noticed this and silently picked up the fresh eggs and began to paint them with the colors he liked.
I don't know if it was because Leon's arrival made everyone embarrassed to chat, or if it was because the four people who were drawing the Easter eggs were all working hard and didn't want to do two things at once, but from the time Leon sat down until he finished drawing the sixth egg, no one said a word.
Apart from the slight knocking sound of eggs against the table when being taken and placed, and the rustling sound of the oil paintbrush painting on the eggshells, the scene was eerily quiet.
This made Leon swallow his saliva, and while smearing the eggs, he couldn't help but say: "By the way, are these eggs provided by Marnie?" "No, they are wholesaled from Joja." Marnie immediately explained after hearing this.
"After all, there are too many of them. Marnie can't take out so many at once, and these Easter eggs will eventually need to be recycled. Everyone will take them home, wash the paint, and use them as food. It would be a waste to use the eggs produced by Marnie Ranch." Jody also helped to add.
Looking at the expressions of the two, Leon was sure that it was because of the former that the atmosphere was so awkward. In fact, if someone brought up a topic, everyone could still chat, and he immediately took the role of livening up the atmosphere.
"No wonder they use plant-based pigments. This way, you won't have any chemical contamination when you take it home and eat it."
"Yes, and these plant-based pigments were mixed by Emily and Haley themselves. These two girls are both good and skillful. Whoever can marry one of them in the future will be blessed. What do you think, Leon?" Jody asked Leon with a smile.
"Yes, yes, you are right."
As soon as he finished speaking, Leon felt that Emily and Haley couldn't help but steal a glance at him, which instantly made him enter a state of watching his nose with his eyes and his heart with his nose.
He had wanted to liven up the atmosphere so that everyone could chat and relax after work, but who knew that Jody would turn against him and bring the topic to this level? Leon simply gave up the idea of livening up the atmosphere and turned into a speechless, unlabeled Easter egg depicting robot.
However, Leon's state did not affect others, because Leon broke the silence and the four began to chat about some daily topics, basically the town's family affairs. There was not much meaningful content, but it was suitable to listen in for fun.
When all the eggs in the basket were painted into colorful eggs, the egg painting activity was officially over. As the only male, Leon took on the task of delivering the eggs to Lewis, and left the Stardrop Salon with a basket of eggs, feeling relieved.
Although the four of them still had the task of making lily baskets, Lyon had no intention of going back to help.
Leon, who was carrying the eggs, easily saw Lewis in the square: “Lewis, the eggs are ready.”
"Thank you for your hard work. Leave the eggs here. At night, I'll find people to scatter them around the town as targets for tomorrow's Easter egg treasure hunt." Lewis said as he gestured to Leon to put down the basket.
"Do you need my help?" Lyon asked subconsciously.
"No need. After all, you are a contestant. It would be unfair to other contestants if I asked you to join in the distribution of Easter eggs." Lewis waved his hand and declined.
"Speaking of this, I feel a little embarrassed, Lewis. Why did you ask me to join this activity? This is obviously a game session for children." Lyon couldn't help but complain when he heard this.
"Isn't this just to give people a better Easter experience? Besides, who says this activity is only for children? Didn't Abigail, Malupani, and Alex all participate? You are not an exception." Lewis comforted Leon.
"And don't underestimate the children of Pelican Town. They're so energetic and strong that even adults can't necessarily match them. You'll have to work harder tomorrow, or you won't find as many Easter eggs as them, and that would be a real shame."
"Okay." What else could Leon say? Lewis meant well, and he couldn't be ungrateful.
Thank you to the boss of C919 for the 500 starting points and the boss of Noa-eA for the 300 starting points. Thank you for your support and support. I wish you both good health and everything goes well. Love you.
