A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 247 Different Answers

Chapter 247 Different Answers
Leon was quite happy to have some free time. With Abigail providing the light, he could mine the ore while paying attention to the situation around him.

Maybe it was luck or because he killed too many monsters on the previous floor, but Leon didn't see any trace of monsters on this floor. After knocking out the stairwell leading to the 35th floor, Leon and Abigail went down together.

After connecting to the elevator's power supply and watching Leon board the elevator directly, Abigail asked doubtfully: "Are you not going to continue mining?"

"It's almost time to go back. Besides mining, I have other work to do." Leon complained to Abigail speechlessly.

After all, today is the last day of building the chicken coop, and he has to go back to check on Robin's progress. If there is still time, the chicken coop will be built and Marnie's ranch will be open, and he will have to buy a few chicks.

Although Abigail was reluctant, she still got on the elevator with Leon. After all, without Leon, she was really panicked being alone in the mine.

When the elevator reached the surface, the two left the mine one after the other. Before leaving, Leon consciously covered his eyes with his hands, while Abigail walked out with a big smile.

Then there was a scream.

"Every failure is a lesson learned. When you spend a long time in a dim environment, you must be careful not to be harmed by sudden exposure to bright light."

Leon calmly preached to Abigail, but what Abigail responded to him was not her humble acceptance of his teachings, but two punches.

The punch was not very powerful, and it felt like a tickle when it hit her body, but Abigail was obviously in a good mood after venting her anger.

"Next time, tell me about this kind of thing in advance."

"Then you have to give me a chance. You're running so fast that I can't stop you." Lyon complained.

"Did you stop him?" Abigail asked.

Leon answered confidently: "No."

Two more punches hit Leon's chest. These two punches were a little stronger, but still had no effect on Leon.

After Leon got used to the sunlight outside, he lowered his hands from covering his eyes, flexed his wrists, and cracked his knuckles: "Did you enjoy the fight? How about I give you a couple of punches too?"

"Haha, do you want to beat me to death?" Looking at Leon rubbing his hands ready to fight, Abigail complained unhappily. She knew the strength of this beast Leon. If he really punched her twice, it would be a question whether she could walk back standing today.

As for whether this guy would let her win, Abigail felt that it was highly unlikely.

"I'm going back now. I won't trouble you anymore. Goodbye."

Seeing Lyon slowly approaching her, Abigail quickly put some distance between herself and Lyon, then waved goodbye to him.

"Wait, your crystal ball."

Seeing Abigail about to run, Leon hurriedly took out the crystal ball he promised to give to Abigail and threw it at her.

The force of the throw was not great, and Abigail caught it easily. After getting the crystal ball, Abigail smiled at Leon, then ran away laughing.

"It's great to be young." Leon had just watched Abigail leave when he heard Linus' voice.

Looking in the direction of the sound, Leon found that old man Linus was actually sitting on the branch of an oak tree.

"When did you become so fond of peeping? This is not a good habit," Leon said to Linus. "I was just taking a nap here and happened to see you two together," Linus said, jumping down from the tree and tossing a large cloth bag to Leon.

"You've been cutting down quite a few trees lately. Although Stardew Valley has excellent growing conditions, nature still needs time to recover. You are the wielder of forest magic and stand with nature. So, to compensate the forest, bring this packet of seeds back to the farm and plant them for me."

Following Linus's reminder, Leon opened the big cloth bag and found that it was filled with acorns, about thirty in total.

“An acorn (seed): can grow an oak tree.”

"Thank you, old man."

Although it is not known whether what Linus said is true or not, these acorns are a timely rain for Leon. He was worried that there were too few oak trees on the farm for collecting oak resin. The old man's move can be said to have solved Leon's urgent need.

"Okay, next time you chop down trees, be careful. Plant one after you chop it down. Maintaining a balance will ensure a sustainable future."

After Linus finished speaking, he was about to leave, but was stopped by Leon.

"Old man, there are some things I need to ask you clearly, so that you won't do anything wrong in the future."

"Huh?" Linus looked at Leon in confusion, not quite understanding what Leon meant.

"Shouldn't you give me a reason for tricking Abigail into the mine? After all, she's just an ordinary person. Aren't you worried that she might be in danger in the mine?"

Leon asked Linus seriously. Of course, this was just an excuse to get some information from the old man.

"As long as she carries the amulet, even Marlon may not be able to hurt her. Didn't she tell you this when she met you?" Linus explained.

"You told me, but is this amulet so powerful? I thought it was just an ordinary magic item." Leon asked in surprise.

"After all, it was Rasmodes who put so much effort into making it, how could it not be effective?" Linus also cooperated and complained, "You have no idea how precious the materials used to make such an amulet are."

Seeing Linus being so understanding, Leon immediately asked, "Oh? If it's so precious, then why did Master Rasmodes give it to you and ask you to pass it on to Abigail?"

"Oh, how did you know that it was Rasmodesmus who gave it to me to pass on?" Linus asked back, squinting his eyes and looking at Leon with a playful smile on his face.

"Analytical." Lyon replied.

"Okay, don't I know what you are thinking? If you are so curious, come with me." Linus rolled his eyes at Lyon, then took Lyon to the campfire in front of his camp.

"Rasmodes can't hear what you say here. If you have anything to ask, just ask it now. Then go back to the farm. A group of people are waiting for you at the door of your farm." Linus urged Leon.

"It's the same question again. Why would Master Rasmodes be willing to give such a good thing to Abigail? Is there anything special about this girl?" Leon repeated the previous question. Although he already had the answer, he still wanted to confirm it.

But Linus's answer stunned Leon and shook his own speculation.

"Because this girl has a talent for learning magic, Rasmodeus has long considered taking her in as a disciple, and this girl is the one he chose as his successor. Isn't it normal to provide some protection for his future student?"

It's still the fourth update, don't even think about the fifth. I've been so busy lately that I really can't spare the time for a big update. Bye. I haven't proofread much, so if you find any typos, please help me correct them. I'm done with my brothers and sisters.
