A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 229 Robin's Proposal

Chapter 229 Robin's Proposal

Hearing this, Leon quickly waved his hand and explained: “I didn’t forget, I didn’t forget, I just didn’t expect you to come so soon, I thought you would need a few days.”

"There's not much work there, and I don't want to delay your plan to raise chickens," Robin explained.

"Are we starting work now?" Leon asked.

"That depends on your own ideas, but you should choose a place first and then prepare the materials I need. I have to go back to get the tools." Robin explained.

"If you have a place, this way please."

Leon, who had already made plans, immediately took Robin to the pond below the center of the farm.

"I'm planning to build it here. What do you think, Robin?"

Robin looked around. This place was very open and he could do whatever he wanted. He immediately nodded and said, "I have no objection."

"Well, why don't you tell me what are the disadvantages of building near the water? For example, animals might drown or something like that." Leon was stunned when he heard this. Robin didn't play according to the routine, which made him very embarrassed.

"Ordinary poultry may do stupid things, but the animals at Marnie's Ranch won't, so you don't need to worry about that." Robin said to Leon with a smile.

"Unless you buy all your poultry from outside, in which case I might ask you to build an extra fence."

"Oh? The animals at Mani Ranch are very smart?" Leon asked.

"Well, Marnie is an animal expert and a pet training master. The animals she trains are generally easy to take care of," Robin confirmed.

"There will always be shortcomings, right?" Lyon asked.

"The downside is that it's a bit expensive to buy cubs," Robin added.

"I see."

Leon nodded, then confirmed to Robin: "It's built right here, next to the pond."

"Okay, then you prepare the materials first, and I'll go back to get the tools. This construction will probably take me about two days." Robin nodded and told Lyon the time for the project, then quickly left Lyon's farm.

Leon returned to the house and took out the 150 pieces of wood and stones that Robin needed to build the chicken coop, and piled them all by the pond.

There is actually no special idea in choosing this place. Lyon is simply used to this kind of planning. This area in the game is the breeding area that Lyon must choose using the standard farm template.

Because he wanted to watch the ducks take to the water, and by building it nearby, he could use less hardwood fencing and save materials.

While Robin was not here yet, Leon went back to the house, washed the bowl of beef stew with potatoes for Linus and threw it into the cupboard, then turned on the TV and found Wilwick's fortune-telling channel for today.

Of course, it wasn't that Lyon wanted to know his fortune, because when he met Velvik yesterday, she said that his fortune had not been very good recently. Lyon turned on this program just to see if Velvik had returned.

When the image of Velvik appeared on TV, Leon was stunned, because he could tell from Velvik's background that the fortune teller was in Stardew Valley.

Because the background behind her was no longer dark, but the gray-green stone wall of the Las Modes Mage Tower that Leon was very familiar with.

"Oh, viewers from Stardew Valley, your elf has no emotional fluctuations today. Your fate is in your hands."

Velvet's voice came from the TV, and then Leon heard Velvet's voice again.

"Your luck has been like this lately. I don't recommend turning on this program anytime soon. If you want to change this situation, you can come find me. You know where I'm staying now."

After that, the TV automatically switched back to the local news. Leon stroked his chin and quipped, "Stayed temporarily at Master Rasmodes's house? There's a story."

As soon as he finished saying this, Leon felt the wooden house shake. He was so scared that he ran out of the house, thinking it was an earthquake.

But seeing that it was calm outside and the wooden house was still standing intact on the farm, Leon slapped his forehead.

"I forgot that Rasmodes is petty. I've been warned again."

Of course, Leon didn't say this directly, otherwise he wasn't sure how else he would be scared.

After this little episode, Leon had nothing to do, so he just sat on the steps of the cabin and sat around. It was not until Robin drove the familiar pickup truck into the farm that Leon woke up from his daze.

"I thought your farm life would be very busy, but it seems you are quite leisurely?" Robin teased Leon after parking the car next to the cabin.

"We've finished what we were supposed to do this morning," Leon said, standing up and answering Robin. "Why don't we drive to the area where the chicken coop is being built?"

"I'm afraid of crushing your crops. I'm not a good driver." Robin explained and pointed to the simple temporary kitchen behind Lyon's cabin.

"You built it yourself?"

"Well, we used to use a fire pit, but it was inconvenient to cook when it rained, so I built a temporary kitchen that could shelter us from the rain," Leon explained.

"It's quite simple. If you pay an extra 1000G and provide 100 pieces of wood and 100 pieces of stone, I can help you renovate the kitchen." Robin complained bluntly.

"1000G? What can it be transformed into?" Leon asked curiously.

"We can help you connect the water pipes, connect the gas pipes, and build some cabinets and sinks. Of course, the chimney and surrounding walls also need to be renovated. These three-sided drafty walls might make you lose the desire to cook in the winter."

Robin explained to Leon in detail.

"Only wood and stone are needed?" Lyon was a little tempted when he heard that. After all, his kitchen was okay for temporary use, but it was definitely not suitable for long-term use.

Lyon could tolerate a somewhat poor living quarters, but he had to make sure the cooking area was perfect.

"Well, as for pipes, I have existing ones that can be used directly. This farm already has pipes laid, so I just need to replace them," Robin replied.

"Oh, what about the gas pipeline?" Leon asked.

"That's quite simple. Just pick it up from outside. You don't have to worry about it anyway. Just nod, pay and provide the materials, and I can help you solve all the problems. You have to believe in my professionalism." Robin complained to Leon.

"Okay, I'll do as you say and change it." Leon waved his hand and decisively handed all these problems to Robin.

"So should we build the chicken coop first or renovate your kitchen?" Robin asked.

"Let's go to the kitchen. How long will it take?" Leon asked.

"It can be done in an afternoon. It's not a big project after all." Robin replied with a smile.

"Okay, can I watch?"

"of course."
