Chapter 172 Qi's Seasoning
Chapter 172 Qi's Seasoning
Leon nodded, then picked up the grilled fish and took a bite. He didn't taste any fishy smell, but was instead amazed by the charred fish skin.
It tasted like just simple salt and a little bit of the unique spiciness of wasabi, but the overall flavor was unusually rich and complex. However, Lyon couldn't tell what the other ingredients were besides these two seasonings. It was a special flavor that was difficult to describe in words, a flavor that was not something that could be given by any seasoning that Lyon was familiar with.
"Old man, besides salt and wasabi, what other seasonings did you add?"
In line with the principle of asking questions bravely, Leon asked Linus.
"A friend once gave me this seasoning. Just adding a little bit to any food can elevate the taste to a higher level. It's very useful," Linus replied.
"Can I see this seasoning?" Leon asked.
"You, you're good in everything except that you're too curious." Despite saying this, Linus still entered the tent, took out a colorful powdery substance in a flask and handed it to Leon.
"Qi's Seasoning: Just a little bit can turn any food into a delicacy."
When he got the seasoning, Leon saw the system's label and realized the origin of this thing.
He was familiar with this stuff. He bought it from Mr. Qi's Walnut Shop. One bottle could make ordinary quality food directly reach Gold Star quality.
It seems that Linus’ friend is Mr. Qi.
"Grandpa, do you have a good relationship with this friend?" Leon asked casually after returning the seasoning to Linus.
"Well, it's okay. After all, this guy always likes to have fun. I quite appreciate his point of view. Besides, except for his bad taste, he is a good person in other aspects." Linus replied.
"Then what does he do? He should be very strong, right? If he doesn't have the strength, such a person would be easily beaten to death." Leon continued to ask.
"He, he operates a wide range of business. As for his strength? I've never seen him take action, but he should be pretty good. After all, he owns half of the Elemental City, and the Elemental City is a notoriously chaotic area. Anyone who can control a large amount of assets in such a place should not be someone to be trifled with." Linus thought for a moment before giving his evaluation.
"I always hear you talk about the Elemental City. That place must be very interesting. When can I go and see it?"
Although Lyon was not very clear about Mr. Qi's strength, he could probably guess that he was stronger than Rasmodesm. Moreover, Lyon knew a lot about Mr. Qi, who was like a top boss behind the scenes. Compared with Mr. Qi's situation, he was more interested in the City of Elements that was mentioned many times.
"You want to go?" Linus asked Leon with a strange look on his face.
"Yes." Leon nodded repeatedly.
"Then consider it after you find your grandfather's secret room and inherit the gift he prepared for you. If you go to the Elemental City now, I'm worried that you will die there." Linus did not dissuade Leon from giving up this idea. Instead, he put forward the prerequisite for taking Leon to the Elemental City.
"Grandpa's secret room? What's in there?" Leon asked curiously. "How would I know? You'll have to find it yourself," Linus said, waving his hands. "After all, that old man prepared it for you, so it's naturally well hidden. He probably asked Rasmodes to help guard it. You might as well ask Rasmodes instead of asking me."
"Oh." Lyon didn't ask any more questions after hearing that. As for asking Rasmodes, he gave up the idea. According to the character of this wizard, he would probably just let himself explore instead of directly putting the answer on the table.
Leon actually roughly knows the location of the secret room. After all, he has explored most of the easter eggs in the game. His grandfather's secret room is most likely the inaccessible room on the mountain wall where Robin lost his axe.
The previous inability to enter was due to the game settings, but now that he has come to Stardew Valley in person, Leon plans to go look for it when he has time.
I had this idea last time when I was collecting green onions. Unfortunately, I was blinded by the large amount of green onions and forgot about it. Now I think of it again, so next time I go there, I have to search carefully.
After Linus and I finished eating grilled fish, Linus stood up, put out the fire, and urged Leon, "Leon, you should go back. The northern foothills are not safe at night. Be careful when you go back."
"What's the reason for the insecurity? Monsters?" Leon asked.
"No, they're wild animals." Linus shook his head. "But they probably won't attack you. After all, you have the protection of forest magic. As long as you don't actively harm those little creatures, they won't attack you."
"Doesn't that mean there's no threat anymore?" Lyon complained.
"Have you forgotten that this area is full of cliffs and steep slopes?" Linus reminded.
"Yeah, there is moonlight at night, but the visibility is not high." Lyon suddenly realized, and then after saying goodbye to Linus, he walked along the northern foothills to the edge of the forest, and took a look at the sap collector he set up during the day.
I found that a shallow layer of resin had accumulated in the container bucket of the sap collector, and it would take a long time before it was full, so I stopped paying attention to it, returned to the wooden house on the farm, took a bath, and fell asleep peacefully.
When the sun rose the next morning, Leon got up, washed, made some food, and went out with a watering can to water the plants in the field. Less than halfway through, Leon saw Demetrius, who looked unhappy, appear at the eastern entrance of the farm.
"Hey, Mr. Demetrius, you're here so early? Thank you for your hard work." Lyon greeted him warmly. Demetrius's arrival meant that his fruit bat mushroom cave had been found again, so he would naturally treat this black uncle warmly.
"I brought everything I need for the renovation this time. The car is parked outside. I came in to get your pass." Demetrius said to Leon.
"Feel free to come in, don't be polite, just treat this place as your home." Leon replied cheerfully.
"Haha." Demetrius just sneered and then left the farm. When he appeared again, he was driving an old pickup truck.
"You just go about your business. I'm going to work directly at the cave. I hope you won't disturb me. I will leave your farm directly after work. If there are any problems with the renovated cave later, you can also contact me directly." Demetrius instructed Leon, then rolled up the car window and drove the pickup truck to the area where the farm cave was located.
