The High Priest of Nothingness raised his right hand, black light gathering in his palm. The light grew denser and darker, like a miniature black hole. He intended to end Su Chen's life with this strike, and also to end this invasion.

At this critical moment, Chen Hao, who was lying on the ground, suddenly opened his eyes.

His eyes were no longer ordinary black, but had turned gold, as bright as the sun. His body was enveloped in a golden light, a warm and bright light that dispelled the darkness and cold in the hall, like a rising sun.

"The Sword of Light—The Will of the Sun!"

Chen Hao sprang to his feet, and the Sword of Light in his hand burst forth with dazzling golden light. All the inscriptions on the sword lit up, the light even more intense than the flashbangs in the hall. He was like a small sun, radiating boundless light and heat.

The High Priest of Nothingness narrowed his eyes; the golden light made him uneasy. His power of nothingness and power of light were inherently incompatible, like water and fire, unable to coexist.

"Impossible." The Void High Priest showed surprise for the first time. "You're just a four-ring Soul Master, how could you awaken the Will of the Sun? That's a skill only a seven-ring Soul Saint can master!"

Chen Hao didn't answer, because he himself didn't know what had happened. He only remembered that while he was unconscious, a light appeared in his mind. The light was warm and gentle, as if it were calling to him. He followed the light and entered a golden world where countless points of light danced, each point of light representing the will left behind by a predecessor of the Sword of Light.

They were telling him: Stand up, fight, don't give up.

So he stood up.

"The Will of the Sun—Judgment of Light!"

Chen Hao raised the Sword of Light high above his head, and a golden sphere of light condensed on its blade. The sphere grew larger and brighter, like a miniature sun. He hurled the sphere at the High Priest of Nothingness. As the sphere flew through the air, the black mist was dispelled, the runes turned to ash, and the air became fresh.

The High Priest of Nothingness dared not be negligent. He gathered all the power of nothingness between his hands, forming a huge black vortex. At the center of the vortex was a small black hole capable of devouring everything.

The golden sphere collided with the black vortex.

There was no explosion, no roar, only silent annihilation. Light and darkness, good and evil, life and death—two diametrically opposed forces canceled each other out and annihilated each other in the collision.

The golden sphere of light grew smaller and smaller, and the black vortex grew weaker and weaker.

Finally, both disappeared simultaneously, and the hall returned to calm.

Chen Hao stood there, panting heavily. The golden light on his body had faded, and the Sword of Light had returned to its original form. His face was as pale as paper, and his soul power was almost exhausted, but a slight smile remained on his lips.

The High Priest of Nothingness's expression changed, and for the first time, anger appeared in his purple pupils. His hands trembled, a sign of the excessive depletion of his nothingness power.

"You...you ants..." The High Priest of Nothingness's voice was filled with murderous intent, "How dare you...how dare you hurt me!"

He suddenly raised his hands, ready to launch the final blow.

But at that very moment, the black sphere suddenly emitted a loud bang. The silvery-white liquid had completely seeped into the sphere's interior, the cracks on the sphere's surface began to widen, the dark red light turned into a blinding white light, and the entire sphere trembled violently, as if it were about to explode.

The High Priest of Nothingness's expression changed drastically, fear creeping onto his face. "No—impossible! My research! My life's work!"

The black sphere shattered, sending countless black fragments flying in all directions, each fragment containing terrifying power of nothingness. The black-robed figure in the hall was struck by a fragment, his body instantly turning to ashes, without even having time to scream.

The High Priest of Nothingness released a black shield to keep the fragments out, but his face was twisted to the extreme, a mixture of anger, resentment, and despair making him look like a ghost.

"You will regret this." The High Priest of Nothingness's voice sounded like a curse from the deepest hell. "You have destroyed my research. The Lord of Nothingness will not let you go. The Cult of Nothingness will not let you go. The Heavenly Dou Empire will be destroyed, everyone will die, and you will wail in hell, never to be released!"

After he finished speaking, his body turned into a cloud of black mist and disappeared through the ventilation opening at the top of the hall.

The black fragments continued to fly, and Su Chen forced himself to stand up, releasing a spatial barrier that enveloped the students. The fragments struck the barrier, making crackling sounds, and each impact caused a crack in the barrier.

Blood trickled from the corner of Su Chen's mouth. His soul power was almost depleted, and the spatial barrier could shatter at any moment.

"Run!" Su Chen shouted to the trainees, "Run outside, don't look back!"

The trainees helped the wounded and ran towards the gate. Ares used his remaining left arm to grab the unconscious Lin Xue and strode out. Chen Hao, dragging his injured body, followed behind the group.

Once everyone had run out of the hall, Su Chen deactivated the spatial barrier and staggered outwards. He moved very slowly, each step feeling like a struggle through mud. Black fragments followed his every step, nearly striking his back.

The moment Su Chen ran out of the base gate, the entire iceberg began to collapse.

Huge blocks of ice crashed down from the mountaintop, striking the ground with a thunderous roar. The iceberg's internal support structure had been destroyed, and the entire iceberg was collapsing at a visible rate. The base was buried under millions of tons of ice and snow, and those black-robed figures who hadn't managed to escape became part of the iceberg's destruction.

The trainees ran a long way until the sound of the iceberg collapsing became faint before they stopped to rest.

They stood on the snow, looking at the collapsing iceberg in the distance, and remained silent for a long time.

"We...successfully?" one of the trainees asked in a low voice.

"We succeeded." Su Chen leaned against an ice tree and nodded weakly. "We destroyed the Void Cult's base in the far north."

"Heroes are immortal, their protection will never cease." Someone uttered these words first, and then everyone repeated them at the same time, their voices echoing across the icy plains of the far north, carrying far into the distance.

Chen Hao looked at the Sword of Light in his hand; the inscriptions on its blade were still faintly glowing, as if responding to his call. He closed his eyes, and those points of light, the will of those predecessors, appeared in his mind again.

"Thank you," he said silently in his heart. "I will continue on this path, protecting those who need protection."

Lin Xue had woken up. Although she was still very weak, she was no longer in mortal danger. She walked to Chen Hao's side and gently patted his shoulder.

"Well done," Lin Xue said. "Although you turned back, you didn't die, so I forgive you." (End of Chapter)
