Lords of Hegemony: Conquer from the Mermaids

Chapter 119: Ratchet Hunting Seal

Chapter 119: Ratchet Hunting Seal
The inside of the cave was pitch black, but the Tidal Murlocs were not afraid of the darkness. Their eyes gleamed in the darkness, a sign of their unique adaptability.

Meng Zheng, Tang Yu and others were waiting quietly outside the cave, their eyes fixed on the cave entrance, looking forward to first-hand information.

Inside the cave, a team of five Tide Murlocs were moving forward cautiously.

As it moved forward, a tentacle covered with sharp teeth suddenly rolled towards one of the fishmen.

The murloc reacted quickly and stabbed the tentacle with the three-pronged fork in his hand, but there was a "clang" sound and the three-pronged fork and the sharp spikes in the hand collided fiercely. The tidal murloc's body shook violently and he almost couldn't hold the weapon in his hand, but the tentacle was extremely tough and was not damaged at all.

"Be careful!" The murloc captain's loud warning immediately alerted the other murlocs, who looked around, trying to find the source of the tentacles.

In the dim cave, the tentacles' attacks became more frequent, and each swing was accompanied by a heart-pounding sound of breaking water.

Five Tide Murlocs stood in a circle back to back, using the tridents in their hands to form a temporary defense net to resist those sudden attacks.

"Where do these tentacles come from?" The fishman captain muttered to himself. He tried to nail the tentacles with a trident, but the tentacles nimbly avoided them every time.

The tentacles appeared again, this time extending directly over the heads of the Tide Murlocs, just as the Murlocs were unable to react in time.

The Canglan armor on his body emitted a dazzling light, and a protective shield immediately unfolded, protecting all the tidal fishmen.

Seeing this, the team leader no longer held back, but instead mobilized his spiritual power. In an instant, a powerful jet of water condensed out from the three-pronged fork, forcibly breaking the attacking tentacles.

The fallen tentacles twisted wildly in the water, as if they wanted to continue attacking the tidal fishmen.

But with the water wave attack from another Tide Murloc, the fallen tentacles were washed deep into the cave, unable to reach them at all.

Suddenly, a huge shadow descended from the top of the cave, and with a deafening roar, a huge deep-sea monster appeared in front of them.

This monster has an octopus-like body, but it is covered with dense tentacles. Each tentacle is like a sharp blade, flashing with cold light.

"It's the Ratchet Hunter!" The murloc captain recognized the monster and immediately shouted, "Everyone be careful! This is the top predator in the water and it's very powerful!"

Faced with the sudden appearance of the Ratchet Hunting Seal, the five members of the Tide Murloc team quickly adjusted their formation, standing back to back, with the tridents in their hands ready for battle.

The Ratchet Hunter circled the cave ceiling, seemingly assessing the strength of the small murlocs. Its dense tentacles swayed gently in the water, each movement carrying the power to tear apart space.

"Attack!" Following the command from the Murloc leader, the five Tidal Murlocs launched their attack almost simultaneously. The tridents in their hands drew brilliant trails through the air, piercing the air with sharp, piercing sounds as they stabbed towards the Ratchet Hunter.

However, the speed and strength of the Ratchet Hunter far exceeded their imagination. With a flash of its body, it easily dodged all attacks, and at the same time, a tentacle suddenly stretched out and rolled towards a Tide Murloc.

But under the protection of the Canglan armor, the tentacles could not hurt them at all. Instead, the Tide Fishman seized the opportunity and broke one of its tentacles with one wave.

The murloc captain quickly activated his skills, and the trident drew mysterious runes in the air. These runes flashed with blue light and instantly condensed into a solid water shield, protecting the team members in front.

"Water shield!" The team leader shouted softly, and ripples appeared on the water shield, as if it could withstand all attacks.

The Ratchet Hunter was obviously surprised by the sudden water shield. One of its tentacles tentatively hit the water shield, but there was only a loud "bang" and the tentacle was bounced away, while the water shield remained intact.

Seeing that the water shield was effective, the team leader quickly gave the order: "Tidal Tornado." The other four Tidal Murlocs immediately activated their skills.

Suddenly, a strong waterspout blew up in the cave, stirring up the water flow around the Ratchet Seal, making it difficult for it to determine the direction of the attack for a moment.

Under the ravages of the waterspout, the ratchet seemed a little panicked. Its body, which had been able to swim easily in the water, was now restrained by the violent water flow.

Although the tentacles were still waving wildly, they were more blindly searching for targets and unable to launch accurate attacks.

"Take advantage of now!" A trace of determination flashed in the eyes of the fishman captain. The best time to defeat the ratchet hunter has come.

All the fishmen activated their spiritual power at the same time, and the three-pronged forks in their hands suddenly shone brightly, as if they were given life, drawing brilliant tracks in the air.

"Trident Storm!" With the captain's roar, the five tridents seemed to turn into silver lightning, and with the sound of whistling wind, they pounced towards the Ratchet Hunting Seal.

This attack condensed all the strength of the fishman team and its power was terrifying.

Under such a fierce attack, the Thorntooth Hunter was finally unable to defend itself and was directly minced into pieces by the terrifying trident.

"You, go and inform the great king." The team leader said to one of the fishmen.

Then he said to the others, "Come with me and continue to investigate the surrounding situation."

The assigned tidal fishman nodded quickly, turned and left the cave to inform Meng Zheng.

When he finally rushed out from the other end of the cave and returned to the light, Meng Zheng, Tang Yu and others were waiting boredly.

The Tide Murloc ran up to Meng Zheng breathlessly and reported anxiously, "Great King, we've scouted the route! We found a Ratchet Hunter, but we've defeated it. There are currently no other threats inside the cave."

Hearing this, Meng Zheng nodded in satisfaction and patted the Tidal Merman on the shoulder to show his encouragement: "Well done, the mission was completed well.

Then he turned to Gulugua and said, "I'll leave it to you from now on. Take this place for me."

Gulugua obeyed the order, his eyes flashing with excitement.

He turned and shouted to the Tidal Murlocs behind him, "Listen up everyone! Conquer this cave! Guys, it's time to show your strength. Charge on!"

Inspired by Guluqua, the morale of the tidal fishmen was high. They shouted in unison, and their voices echoed at the entrance of the cave, as if foreshadowing the coming victory.

As for the clam girls, they remained quiet without saying anything. Under the leadership of Lanzhu, they always followed the tidal fishmen closely.

Gulugua waved his hand, signaling the team to start moving.

The Tidal Murlocs, armed with tridents, lined up and cautiously entered the cave, followed closely by the Clam Girls. Although smaller in size, they were agile and possessed strong defensive capabilities, providing the team with necessary support.
