Chapter 359 Mission: 07-3 Grave
Tearing through the demons' defenses, Nero advanced, traversing the manor, which had been fragmented into countless pieces and floated in the void, searching for Eve. Guided by the fragments of the Yama Blade, this mission was not difficult.

Nero activated the Rage Magic Stone once again, and used arms condensed from black smoke to grab the platforms floating in the void, continuously jumping into the depths of the void.

Then, after grabbing the double-edged demon and tearing it apart, and smashing a heavy stone slab with the sword, Nero saw the last section of the road leading to the depths of the tomb.

Since Eve was already dead, the dead naturally resided in tombs. Here, in a cemetery ablaze with white flowers, enveloped by endless wind and rain, stood before a roaring, gleaming church bell. Beneath a crimson maple tree, a sculpture of an angel with outstretched wings bowed its head toward the tombstone before it, above which a fuzzy black-and-white photograph was etched.

In the photo, two boys, one with white hair and one with black hair, are held in the arms of a beautiful woman, occupying the right and bottom sides of the frame. The top left corner has been roughly cropped off, leaving a stark expanse of pure white that abruptly tells others that there was something there.

That was obviously where Sparta was supposed to be.

In other words, this tomb contains the dead Eve, the childhood of Dante and Virgil, but not Sparta.

It's normal for young Dante and Vergil to be here, since they've both lost their memories of the past, so in a sense, the two before the age of seven are indeed dead. But the absence of Sparta is a very interesting sign.

Is it possible that he is not dead yet?

Nero reached out and grabbed the still-escaping fragments of the Yama Sword and walked into the tomb.

Beneath the stone slabs, a long staircase, lit by a faint blue flame, descended as if leading straight into the depths of the underworld. Women's screams and pleas for mercy echoed from below, their clashes with the walls creating a reverberation that could pierce anyone's heart.

Feeling the abnormal signal coming from his heart, Nero rushed down quickly.

At the end of the passageway was an empty underground sanctuary. Beneath the sanctuary's round vault, through the hollowed-out windows, a dark blue void loomed. Connecting the passageway and the sanctuary was a short, narrow stone bridge, spanning the underworld, as if it were the dividing line between the human world and the underworld.

Beneath the vault, in the very center of the sanctuary, a burly figure swung its fist, sending another frail figure flying. The figure, with red hair and a white dress, had graceful curves. Their bare feet repeatedly kicked against the polished stone tiles, struggling to escape from the other being's grasp.

But she had nowhere to escape. This was her tomb, and she couldn't leave.

The demon in front of her had a pitch-black skin, a burly body, rock-like muscles covering the entire body, and a bloody mouth disguised under a pale mask.

The mask split in all directions, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth. The creature's face consisted of only a mouth, its small head connected to its massive body by a short, thick neck, looking extremely disproportionate.

Seeing this scene, the red-haired woman showed a look of horror and made a sound that was even sharper than before.

Nero started instantly, crossed the bridge in the blink of an eye, and flashed in front of Eve. The cold and shining blade drew a long string of sparks on the demon's steel-tough skin.

"Wei..." Eve just made a sound, and then she realized that she seemed to have recognized the wrong person: "No, you are-"

After all, even with the aura of the Yama Blade and similar magic power, Eve at least could still distinguish between men and women.

"We'll talk about it later."

Nero interrupted her, caught the demon's right fist with his black left hand, and began to wrestle. But she couldn't win because the guy had four arms.

As the other three arms began to swing, Nero instantly rolled over and kicked the fist that she had previously grabbed. He jumped up again and appeared directly behind the demon, swinging the sword in his hand, and the blade light crisscrossed.

Blood splattered, but the injury proved ineffective. The demon spun swiftly, using both hands and feet, and slammed its fist into the ground in front of Nero. Then, bright red spikes rose up like thorns, threatening to trap Nero.

Nero spun around and slashed, cutting off a bunch of spikes and escaping. Then she saw the burly demon with two legs and four arms leap high into the air and fall straight down towards her head.

The demon's body was flashing with blood, and it was obviously extremely hard at this moment, making it difficult to confront it head-on.

Nero immediately retreated again, but the demon, with his elbows on the ground, roared and summoned spikes around his body that were even taller than before. They divided the space layer by layer like a huge cage and were about to pierce Nero's body.

"do not want!"

Eve exclaimed.

But what good would it do to just speak? Nero couldn't escape the cage of spikes before him, and could only watch helplessly as those spikes pierced his body.

unless……

"My Lord." Mephistopheles' voice suddenly rang out: "Do you dare to trust me?"

It was a rather clumsy provocation. But at that moment, Nero truly understood what he meant. Facing the overwhelming barrage of magical thorns, Nero flung a glittering fragment in his hand and swung Samael, slicing it with precision.

The flash shattered. The remaining fragments of the Yama Blade in Nero's hand shattered into countless points of light, which were then absorbed by Samael. A trace of discordant demonic power merged into the angel's blade, transforming it into a vortex of chaos.

Amidst Eve's exclamation, the angelic power that comprised this space was drawn into the vortex, condensing into a crescent-shaped arc. Nero sheathed his sword and unfurled it, spinning his scythe, severing all the incoming spikes. Instead of retreating, he advanced, slicing and slashing at the demon at the center of the thorn hell.

After shattering the fragments of the Yama Sword and awakening the last bit of Spartan power in it, Nero, with the help of Samael, used this as a guide and, with the help of Eve's remaining power, activated Samael's full form for the first time in a long time.

Angelic power surged before the scythe's blade, gradually suppressing the magic stone Nero was driving, and gradually flowing back into Nero's body. But it didn't matter. As the remnant of the dead, Eve couldn't use this power, but in Nero's hands, it was enough to defeat the demon before him more than ten times.

Just this much power is enough.

The crescent-shaped blade swung out a crescent-shaped arc, shattering the jungle-like iron thorns and heading straight for the demon.

Nero appeared like a ghost, following closely behind the curved arc, and the scythe in his hand fell coldly.
