Chapter 348 Mission: 04-4 Escape
Then, at the same moment, Dante moved.

To defeat this demon, their combined attack had to be continuous and uninterrupted, not giving it any chance to breathe. While Dante charged with his sword, Nero landed on the track on the other side, closing in on the enemy through continuous maneuvers.

Dante then grabbed the grappling gun's still-unretracted rope and yanked it hard. The grappling gun retracted, and Dante was dragged toward the target. Nero simultaneously appeared before the slightly unbalanced hunter demon, his sword aimed at the large cross-shaped hole in the demon's face, just above its nostrils.

Attacks are coming from two directions simultaneously, one above the head and the other in front of the body.

The demon hastily dropped his gun, ready to deal with Nero who was approaching faster.

But Nero wasn't a fool, so she wouldn't fight it head-on. Furthermore, the sword she held was too thin and frail, unsuitable for a swordfight like Dante. Facing the incoming dagger, Nero stepped on the blade and ran forward, following the arm holding it.

The hunter demon reached out to grab it, but it was too late. Dante's attack finally arrived, swinging his greatsword straight into its abdomen.

But at this point, it really didn't have time to care about Dante. Even if its stomach was pierced by Dante's "rebellion", it wouldn't be a serious injury considering its size, so it wouldn't be a big deal to just leave it alone for the time being.

With this in mind, the Hunter Demon still insisted on dealing with Nero first. By then, Nero had already swiftly approached the Hunter Demon's head, following his arm like walking on a single-plank bridge. Using the aerial maneuverability provided by the Smoke Hand, she dodged its attempts several times, even though the Hunter Demon frantically shook its body in an attempt to throw her off.

Since no one was watching, Dante naturally thrust his sword into the demon's abdomen without hindrance. Blood gushed out again, but compared to the depth of the stab, it was clearly not that frightening. The hunter demon let out an angry growl, twisting its body to forcibly disarm Dante. Nero, hanging from the demon's arm via the hand of smoke, also swayed in the air.

Something hanging from one arm can only be removed with the other, a natural blind spot in the spine. So Nero had effectively locked one of the demon's arms. By simply capturing the other, he could ensure it couldn't reach Dante. Dante lived up to expectations, firmly gripping the hilt and slashing a deep, unfathomable gash in the hunter demon's belly.

And the legs? Since Dante was already riding on the demon's belly, its legs certainly couldn't exert any force on Dante either.

Furthermore, since Dante was a man of immense strength, if the Hunter Demon dared to land on one foot in front of him, he would immediately overturn it with his might. There was no doubt about that.

But this creature was indeed thick-skinned and resilient. Even though Dante had already opened a large hole in its stomach, it remained calm and lively, with only its cries becoming a little more miserable.

But even a small amount of damage is still damage, and from this moment on, both Nero and Dante can safely say: the situation has been reversed.

The hunter demon changed from the active side to the passive side, from the offensive side to the defensive side.

As we all know, only the offensive side can fight for victory. The defensive side can only maintain its undefeated state and wait for opportunities.

"Let me see if there's a baby demon in there?"

When Dante was about to rip open the hunter demon's belly and get inside to wreak havoc, it finally couldn't sit still anymore. Unable to continue to let Dante act recklessly, it abandoned Nero who was jumping around and chose to stop Dante.

Besides the grappling gun, even the heavy dagger was thrown aside. There was nothing it could do. Who would use a knife to cut a cockroach when it was crawling on their body?

No matter how desperately he tried, it wasn't going to happen. And that was the hunter demon's current situation. It dropped all its weapons, its two large hands hastily reaching towards its lower body, trying to grab Dante, who was "doing evil."

But since it had left Nero alone, Nero naturally began to make his presence felt. Just as Dante drew his sword and retreated, Nero flipped over and found his position above the hunter demon's head, slashing at its eyes.

The hunter demon subconsciously closed his eyes, but his tough skin that could deflect even bullets was useless against the rapier in Nero's hand. So the next second, the hunter demon raised his head and roared, covering his cheeks with his hands, and frantically scratched at his head, trying to catch the naughty Nero.

But how could he possibly find it? After delivering a fatal blow to the eye, Nero slid along the demon's filthy mane, landing on its shoulder blade. Pulling the mane to hold it there, Nero twirled his sword and stabbed it again in the center of the back of the neck.

Dante, returning from his journey, pierced the Hunter Demon's ankle with his Rebellion, but the reaction wasn't great. That ankle, standing a man's height and three men's thickness, was like a solid tree; it wasn't something that could be brought down with just one or two strikes. But just as Dante was considering whether to join Nero in tackling the demon's head, he noticed that the demon strangely didn't react at all to the piercing of his ankle.

There was no pain, no wailing, and not even any dodging.

"what happened?"

Dante raised his head and looked above him. The demon's entire movement was frozen in the moment when he had just raised his head and roared. This guy's hunched back was straightening up for the first time in his life.

But, it was also the last time.

"Don't just stand there, it's time to get started!"

Nero's voice came from above his head. Dante, puzzled, swung two more swords at the hunter demon's legs, and then saw the huge demon collapse with a loud bang - the movement was even louder than the collapse of the Ferris wheel just now.

Nero jumped up just before the demon fell to the ground, offsetting the inertia of the fall, and turned around to stab the hunter demon in the other eye.

The demon twitched twice, but showed no further reaction.

"The giant creature's weak point is really the back of the neck?" She scratched her head in confusion and landed lightly on the ground.

The sword she had just thrust into the back of the demon's neck and stirred it seemed to have inflicted enough damage to completely paralyze it. The finishing blows she and Dante struck then completely extinguished its life force.

The demon's corpse gradually dissipated, and the power that dragged the two into Limbo also dissipated. The scarlet light that spread across the sky, earth, and sea gradually faded, and those colors that belonged to the human world returned to Nero's eyes.

In the ruins of the empty seaside paradise, light gray and azure blue eyes collided.
