Chapter 213 Mission: 07-2 Divergence Point V
"Sure enough, the storm began to spread."
Ever since the roots of the Demon Realm Tree began to break through the earth, the [Wind of Decadence], a gray storm originating in the center of Outer Gate 666710, had spiraled through the city, ultimately transforming into a circular wall of storm, enveloping the entire Outer Gate. By this point, the entire Outer Gate's buildings had been reduced to ruins by the storm and the rising roots. The streets were broken into scattered sections, and even the realm gates connecting the different Outer Gates had been destroyed.
It seems that no one can leave this altar anymore.
V sighed, and then he answered Nero's question, "I've thought about this, but the answer is no. There must be more than one solution to the game, otherwise, after Urizen was defeated, the [Beast of Six Hundred and Sixty-Six] would be unable to reclaim the Devil's World Fruit."
"So what are the conditions for becoming a 'True Beast'?"
"I don't know yet, but it must exist."
It's like Bai said.
However, V seemed to have just remembered and belatedly looked at Nero and asked, "Wait, you—the spiritual power you inherited from the Demonic World Tree should be intact, right?"
Nero then realized he had let slip something. V and Urizen's spirits, the Seal of the Beast (Inheritor of the Demonic World Tree), were shattered because his father, Sparda, had destroyed their spirits. But in V's eyes, Nero was not a descendant of Sparda.
Therefore, her spirit should be complete. She should not need to recover Sparta's broken spirit to become a "real beast".
But Nero didn't realize this when he spoke just now, and he let slip a little bit of his true identity.
How can I make up for it?
Just as Nero was trying to hide his guilt with a smile, V made an excuse for himself: "Indeed, you were created by the Demon Emperor using the power of the fruit. If you say so, then there must be a backup plan. It was my negligence."
Fortunately, it's safe. Nero reminded himself again in his heart to be careful and not be too casual when answering.
"You know a lot." She pretended to be indifferent. "Did Sparta leave something behind?"
"That's strange." V paused in front of a cliff created by the tearing of the earth and sighed, "He left almost nothing behind. Everything I said above is just an inference based on my own situation."
Nero also stopped behind him and looked at V, who was standing in a daze in front of the cliff. He waited for a long time before asking doubtfully, "Your bird hasn't resurrected yet?"
This is too slow anyway.
V said awkwardly, "Yeah... Yeah. That's weird."
It's a bit suspicious, but never mind. Nero reluctantly reached out from behind V again: "Okay, I'll take you up."
"Be careful, there seems to be a demon up there." V warned.
"You should be careful," Nero replied, somewhat harshly, "Can't you think more about the consequences before killing your own familiar?"
V shut his mouth.
But just as V said, just as Nero led him over the cliff torn by tree roots, a pair of shining and cold scissors stretched out in front of her.
Wearing pitch-black cloaks, phantom white masks, and icy scissors, the Grim Reapers, armed with all of these, gathered like ghosts, dancing in the sky. "Be careful."
Nero threw V out immediately, took out the impact steel gloves from the gift card, dodged in the air and punched the scissors in the hands of the Grim Reaper.
The pair of scissors snapped in half, becoming two long steel bars. The shockwaves from the impact steel ripped at the Grim Reaper's cloak, sending it emitting silent screams. V, having fallen to the ground, rolled over, awkwardly but gracefully stepping on a shadow to turn over. The wriggling shadow caught him, transforming into a black panther that circled around him, glaring warily at the flying Grim Reapers.
Nero spun around and kicked out, instantly smashing the Grim Reaper and the scissors in its hand into pieces. He then landed on the ground with the remaining momentum, shattering the bricks. Then he simply folded his wings and jumped again, his eyes fixed on one of the Grim Reapers.
"Foolishness is a scoundrel's cloak, and shame is the garment of pride."
Amidst the graceful chanting, a wriggling shadow transformed into a hard steel spike that extended from V's feet, piercing precisely into one of the Grim Reaper's open scissors, instantly shattering it. V himself, like an acrobat, followed the steel spikes and appeared at the top, stabbing his staff deeply into the Grim Reaper's cloak, instantly slicing it apart.
The pale mask fell to the ground, with a conspicuous crack in the middle.
As if to tell Nero, "Don't think I can't attack enemies in the air without Griffin," V leaned over to face Nero, closed the book casually, tossed his hair, and fell freely towards the ground, then was caught by Shadow again.
"Oh, yeah, then why don't you just climb up yourself?" Nero turned his gaze away from V, who was showing off, and smashed another Grim Reaper with his shockwave.
However, V did remind her that the weakness of these Scissor Death Gods seemed to be the masks on their heads. As long as Nero knew this, she wouldn't have to use brute force to tear off their cloaks, but could choose to deal with them with cleverness.
Landing again, Nero drew his serpent-belly sword and swung it through the air, first tangling the scissors they had used as weapons and snatching them away, then swiftly and accurately shattering their masks. As expected, the black cloaks dissipated after the masks were destroyed, and white fragments fell to the ground with a crisp shattering sound, like shattered porcelain bowls.
"These things are from the demon world, right?"
After freeing his hands a little, Nero asked V.
V waited as Shadow leaped into the air, slicing the scissors like a grinding saw amidst a shower of sparks. He quickly followed suit, stabbing his staff into the mask and killing the demon. After landing, he slowly replied, "Indeed. Where the Demonic World Tree is, there's the Demonic World. And not just them, there will be more demons to come, and they too will be part of its sustenance."
Looking up, the Demonic Realm Tree had already thrust several of its thickest roots out of the ground, extending into the sky. Those seemingly flexible yet sturdy roots swayed in the wind, seemingly collecting the magical energy emanating from the air, emitting a bright glow.
The spirits of the Little Garden Demons came from the killing and sacrifice of intelligent creatures, and the Demon Realm Tree seemed to be the same. With the supply of blood and magic power, its growth rate was gradually accelerating.
"So to say……"
Nero thought of the huge tree roots in "Devil May Cry 5" that even reached the height of low-Earth orbit, and couldn't help but look up at his head.
The countdown continues, but the shape has changed slightly.
The skylight of the outer door of Box Garden 666710 is gradually opening.
