Chapter 146 Mission: 09-1 Twins
"……here it is?"

In a new dream, Nero slowly opened his eyes.

The delicate fragrance of tea leaves slowly rose from the square table, enveloping her. The light-haired girl sitting across from the table picked up the smoky kettle and slowly poured the liquid into the cup. Then she stood up and placed the tea in front of Nero with both hands.

"It's my dream." The girl sat down slowly, her movements were standard but also a bit stiff.

Nero stared at her face, which was completely covered by the mask, for a few seconds before he confirmed her identity with some doubt.

"Wakaba Mu?" Nero asked.

Then, she turned her head and looked around. She was now in what appeared to be the center of a garden. Nero and Wakaba Mu were sitting beneath a gazebo. The sun was shining brightly, judging by the altitude, it must have been just past noon. Bright flowers surrounded neatly arranged shrubs, among which a few butterflies rested, creating a scene of prosperity.

This place seemed to be modeled after Xiangzi's family manor. The familiar-looking building was located beside them not far away, and two huge red curtains were drawn at the door.

If Ye Mu didn't say anything, he just looked at Nero quietly. Then Nero withdrew his gaze and spoke again:
"I remember I was in Xiangzi's dream just now, with Chuhua."

Wakaba Mu sat motionless in her seat. Although she had a cup of tea in front of her, she seemed to have no intention of drinking it. In response to Nero's words, she nodded gently and slowly: "Our dreams are the most closely connected."

"is it?"

Nero turned his head and looked around again. According to Chuhua, in Xiangzi's dream, countless monsters created by her own subconscious were fighting fiercely with Nanna's followers.

But here, as a neighboring dream, everything seems to be peaceful.

Nero picked up the teacup and took a sip. It tasted pretty good.

At the same time, she was carefully thinking back to everything that had just happened. Why had the connection between her and Xiangzi's dream been severed? What had happened in reality since she had entered the dream?
Nero's immediate thought was that Little Ace had taken action. However, Nero hadn't sensed any trace of lust in the planetarium. Furthermore, the planetarium was within Chuhua's barrier, so Little Ace couldn't possibly be there.

After figuring this out, the truth of the matter became clear.

Nero held the teacup, frowned slightly, and sighed softly: "So there really is a traitor."

She had always suspected that one of Lixi or Shuangshi might be deceived by Xiao Ace and do something bad to her, but she didn't expect that she would fall into the trap in the end.

"They were all deceived by little Ace." Ruoye Mu didn't seem surprised by this, but there was a hint of pleading in his tone.

"People always have to pay the price for their actions."

Nero, having heard Wakaba Mu's subtext, neither expressed his approval nor played dumb. Instead, he directly stated that he did not intend to easily forgive this betrayal. This was mainly due to two reasons.

In truth, if Nero had simply been tricked by Little Ace into believing Nero was an enemy and launched an attack, he would have simply laughed it off. But this betrayal was different: the city was in crisis, and Nero was the strongest, clearly on their side, the only one who could possibly stand against Nanna. Choosing to attack her at this moment would, first and foremost, be playing with the lives of an entire city.

On the other hand, this act of stabbing someone in the back was too despicable. Although Nero didn't know what little Ace had said to the attacker, and didn't want to know, she gave the others ample time to discuss the matter before both actions, and also said that no matter what opinions they had, they could speak directly.

And that person never once tried to communicate with Nero.

As if he heard the anger in Nero's words, Ruo Yemu's eyes fluctuated slightly and he stopped talking.

But even though Nero said this, she had no idea how to punish the man. After all, the man had been deceived, and Nero couldn't really kill him or break his limbs. That wasn't her style. Probably.

And if they ask for compensation... unfortunately, these people are still minors. They may have a lot of pocket money, but if they really encounter a big problem, they can't afford much real money.

...Yes, after all, she was still a minor, and many punishments were not suitable for Nero to use on her. Nero had to think carefully about how to handle this matter.

Thinking of this, Nero raised his head again and asked, "As far as you know, is there anyone among them who can sever the conceptual 'connection'?"

In fact, she already had a vague idea in her mind, and she was asking questions just to verify it.

"Nagasaki Soyo... probably."

This coincided with Nero's suspicion. After all, her weapon was the only sharp one capable of "cutting."

She hid it really well. Until just now, Nero had never imagined that Shuangshi's magic tool could have such a hidden power.

Among them, only Shuangshi, a weapon with special conceptual abilities, can pose a threat to Nero.

Nero took another sip of tea, put down his cup, stood up from his seat, looked around the small garden, and asked, "Is there a way to enter Xiangzi's dream from here?"

She had been here long enough, and now that she understood the situation, she should get things back on track as soon as possible.

However, Ruoye Mu slowly shook his head, denying Nero's idea: "It's hidden here."

As she spoke, she raised her hand and pointed in the direction of the mansion: "Otherwise, they will find us."

Will be discovered? Could they be referring to...

Nero left the pavilion and walked quickly through the clean, tidy and lively garden, and came to the big red curtain.

Standing there, Nero looked at the abnormally wide door curtain and the bright red color. He felt something in his heart and turned to look in the direction of the pavilion.

As expected, the pavilion faced the gate, a counterintuitive arrangement. From the gate, the garden was unobstructed, with the pavilion and Wakaba Mu sitting in it right in the center of the view.

Nero gently reached out and grasped the curtain in front of him, silently asking with his mouth:

"can I see?"

In the center of the pavilion, Ruo Yemu nodded slightly in silence.

So, Nero carefully lifted a corner of the red cloth in his hand, and his eyes secretly passed through the gap to the outside of this quiet garden.

There, in the pitch darkness, countless scarlet lights lit up.

They are arranged neatly, like a blood-red galaxy.
