I am a master in India

Chapter 35 The Kingdom of God on Earth

Chapter 35 The Kingdom of God on Earth
Ron kicked open the car door and got out first, while Mary and the others in the back seat were still trembling as they unbuckled their seat belts.

"Hurry! We have to get out of here!" Ron pulled Mary out from his side.

But the door on Lena's side was stuck. She tried to push it open with her shoulder, but couldn't.

Ron looked up and saw that the door on her side was blocked by another car.

The only way to get her out was from this side, but the middle parking space was filled with two people's bulging backpacks.

"Come and help!" Ron yelled at Mary, and the two of them began to try their best to tear open the backpack in the middle.

Lena wasn't that scared at first, but when she saw Ron's nervous look, a hint of fear suddenly appeared in her eyes.

Why is he so nervous? Is the car about to explode? You see that all the time in movies.

Moreover, Lena and her friends had taken Mumbai taxis several times, and the rear window could only be opened a few centimeters. Now the door was stuck again.
If the car caught fire and exploded, she would be burned to death.

"Ron! Mary! Save me!" Lena slammed the door again in tears, but to no avail.

The situation was urgent, so Ron took out the knife from his pocket and randomly cut the shoulder straps of his backpack. Something spilled out, but he couldn't care less.

"Hurry! Over here! Lena!" He folded the front seat flat, trying to make some space.

From behind, Lena grabbed his arm as if to save her life, and Ron pulled her out with force.

At this time, several faces appeared outside the car window and Ron heard some excited voices. He knew that it was almost too late.

"Ron, the driver!" Although Mary hated the madman, she still wanted to help him.

Ron looked towards the driver's seat. The driver was slumped between the steering wheel and the door, motionless, but groaning.

Beneath his thin shirt, his back, like an abacus bead, rose and fell with his slow, weak breathing.

"Hurry up, it's too late!" Ron pulled Mary and Lena in each hand and squeezed into the wall of people surrounding them.

They huddled together until they squeezed out and sat under a hawthorn tree on a nearby sidewalk to check on each other's injuries.

Ron had a scratch on the corner of his eyebrow, but it was nothing serious. Other than that, he just had a few sore spots on his body.

Mary had a cut on her ribs, and Lena's arm seemed to be bruised and had become swollen.

"God, I thought the car was going to explode. But it's fine now, Ron." Lena sat on the ground, her chest heaving violently.

"All right?" Ron turned to look at her.

"You scared me to death when you fled the car in such a panic just now. I thought it would catch fire, but now it seems to be fine."

"Oh," Ron turned his head and stared ahead, "You think I'm worried about the car catching fire? No, I'm worried about the crowd getting angry. Look at what's happening to those people now."

The three of them stood up, enduring the pain all over their bodies, and looked at the accident scene ten meters away.

In the distance, dozens of people had surrounded the four cars that had crashed into each other, some of whom were trying to pull the drivers and passengers out of the damaged vehicles.

Others gathered in groups, gesticulating and shouting, and more people came from all directions.

Because of the accident, other car drivers and passengers who were stuck behind also joined in, and the number of people increased until there were more than a hundred.

Then one of them became the focus, the driver of the taxi that Ron and his friends took.

Because of his recklessness, a woman in the car in front was seriously injured and was covered with a white cloth and carried away on the spot.

A man who looked like her husband rushed towards Ron and his friends' taxi and opened the door.

The crowd reacted in unison, immediately dragging the injured and unconscious taxi driver out of the car and throwing him onto the hood.

The driver raised his hands and begged for mercy with a weak voice, but dozens of hands rose and fell on him, pulling and hitting him.

He was punched in the face, chest, and abdomen, and nails left scratches on his body, tearing the corner of his mouth, with the crack almost reaching his ear.

It all happened in an instant, and Mary and Lena looked horrified.

"Oh my god, we have to do something."

"There are already enough people working on it, you two." Ron waved his hand weakly.

"No, I mean can't we save him?"

Ron rolled his eyes at them and said, "As you can see, getting into a car accident in Mumbai is a terrible thing. We need to get out of there as soon as possible, otherwise we would be the ones lying on the hood now." The crowd beat the driver quickly and fiercely. The driver's clothes had been stripped off and he was bleeding all over his body.

Then, at a certain command, he was lifted high above the head and carried away.

With his legs together and arms outstretched, his posture was as if he were nailed to a cross, and he disappeared into the angry crowd.

This scene shocked Mary and the others greatly, and they didn't understand.

Why is it that in a car accident, the driver is treated like a public execution, and what about the police?
Not only them, but even Ron couldn't understand it. It was just like when the crowd beat up Iqbal at the train station last time. No one could understand the Indians' way of thinking.

In this country, all kinds of bizarre things can happen, it can be called a kingdom of God on earth.

"Okay, now we should go take care of the wound." Ron looked away.

"Can we not go to the hospital?"

"Why are you all afraid of hospitals, just like you're afraid of police stations?"

"We can handle this injury."

"Let me do it." Ron sighed.

"you?"

"Didn't I tell you I'm also a doctor?" Ron boasted without blushing or beating his heart.

An hour later, the three of them returned to the hotel, and Ron took his first aid kit with him.

At this time, Lena's arm was bandaged, but fortunately there was no fracture, and it should recover after a while.

Mary's rib wound. Well, she lifted up her clothes, and a big thunder swung around, making Ron uneasy.

"Hey, I feel your hands are shaking." Mary giggled and teased him.

"I'm a normal man, and can you please hold it? It's affecting my vision."

"Don't you have another hand? Do you need me to teach you?"

"This bitch is in heat!" Lena complained from the side.

"Who was it that wanted to strip off his shirt even though his arm was injured just now, huh?"

"Don't say you didn't think about it, bitch, you wanted to eat him alive!"

"Hey!" Ron raised his hand to signal them to pause. "Let's talk business. What are you going to do next?"

Mary and Lena fell silent because their backpacks were left in the taxi due to the car accident.

Although some things were salvaged in the end, the losses were undoubtedly huge.

This is Mumbai, things disappear within thirty seconds of being out of sight.

Trying to go back was almost impossible, and neither Mary nor Lena was foolish enough to harbor such hopes.

Lighting a cigarette with her good arm, Lena said nonchalantly, "We'll find a way. We have some friends in Mumbai."

"Yes, at worst I can go to Bollywood to be an extra. I think they need white actresses there." Mary was also optimistic about what would happen next.

"Why don't you come to my place and help me first?" Ron asked.

"You?" They both looked surprised.

"Receptionist, how are you? My company is hiring. You've seen it before. It's right at the train station."

"Hey, you want us, two top Bollywood stars, to be your doormats?"

"It's just temporary, at least until you recover from your injuries. I don't think Bollywood will give work to injured female stars."

Mary and Lena looked at each other and said, "Since you are a responsible guide."

"Yes, for our friendship's sake."
