Hong Kong Tycoon: Starting from Delivering Dongfeng Express

Chapter 202 Xu Jiang: Uncle Tai? Who do you think you are!

Chapter 202 Xu Jiang: Uncle Tai? Who do you think you are!

In Jinghai, at 6:30 a.m., the sky was just beginning to lighten, but there were already pedestrians on the streets.

Zhang Weimin got off his bicycle, a gust of cold wind made him tighten his collar, and then went into the store to pick up the packages he was responsible for delivering, as usual.

A man leaned over and asked, "Brother Weimin, how many are you making today?"

Zhang Weimin opened his package and whispered, "Four."

"I only have 3 left! I used to get 6 or 7 packages in the morning!"

"Yes! It's almost half as much as it used to be!"

Xiao Lü said indignantly, "Ever since those courier companies were established, we've been getting fewer and fewer orders!"

Hearing this, Zhang Weimin also felt displeased.

His peak performance was 50-60 per day, which earned him hundreds of dollars a day!
Later, due to the expansion of enrollment, the number of students dropped to around 40, but they could still earn 80 yuan a day, more than 2000 yuan a month. Although the income was less, it was not as tiring as before, so they could accept it happily.

However, as more and more courier companies emerged in Jinghai, such as Hengtong Express and Camel Express, the number of packages they delivered each day gradually declined.

It wasn't obvious at first, but after a while, the number of packages delivered each day has dropped to just over 20, which means that the daily income is only 40-50 yuan.

Although this income is still far higher than the average income in Jinghai, it is easy for people to go from simplicity to luxury, but difficult to go from luxury to simplicity.

I used to earn two or three thousand a month, but now it's dropped to less than 1500. How could I not have any complaints?
At this moment, Xu Jiang walked over and said, "Hey, you guys, why aren't you hurrying up and delivering the packages? What are you standing here chatting about?"

"Brother Jiang!"

"Manager Xu!"

Xiao Lü said sullenly, "Brother Jiang, we each only have two or three packages to handle right now, so we have plenty of time and it definitely won't be delayed!"

Xu Jiang patted his shoulder lightly: "Hey! You're getting a hidden meaning in your words, aren't you? Are you being sarcastic with me?"
What kind of attitude is that? If you don't want to do it anymore, there are plenty of other people who will!

Realizing what had happened, Xiao Lü quickly bowed and apologized to Xu Jiang: "Manager Xu, I'm sorry! I misspoke, I didn't mean it that way!"

Zhang Weimin quickly chimed in, explaining, "Brother Jiang, that's not what Xiao Lü meant. How could he talk back to you? It's just that other courier companies have taken a lot of business that we used to have, and everyone's a bit resentful."

Xu Jiang snorted coldly: "If you have any grievances, keep them to yourself! Who are you trying to impress with that long face? Will the clients be happy if they see it?"
Whether you have many or few packages, always keep a smile on your face during deliveries!
Our boss said that Dongfeng Express must have excellent customer service. If any customer ever tells me that any of you are taking out your frustrations on them, don't blame me for being ruthless!

Several deliverymen quickly agreed and then hurried away to begin their deliveries for the day.

"Weimin, wait a minute!"

Zhang Weimin stopped and turned around: "Brother Jiang, did you need something?"

Xu Jiang nodded: "Don't you have a package from Yongxing Toys on this trip? They called last night to say they have a package to be sent to Hong Kong Island today. You can go over there, have them fill out the form, and bring it over."

"Okay, no problem!"

Zhang Weimin went over, took the shipping label, put it in his bag, glanced at Xu Jiang, and hesitated before asking:
“Brother Jiang, what Xiao Lü did just now wasn’t intentional. It’s just that everyone’s feeling down right now because of the drop in income. We don’t know when this will end, so it’s understandable that we’re a bit anxious…”

"Weimin, let's forget about those new guys. You're a long-time employee of Dongfeng Express, how can you not trust our boss?"

Zhang Weimin looked at Xu Jiang with hopeful eyes: "Brother Jiang, you mean..."

Xu Jiang waved his hand: "Don't worry, this is only temporary. Those other companies won't last long. In the end, Dongfeng Express will definitely have the last laugh!"

Xu Jiang had heard Ye Dongsheng mention on the phone that because of the establishment of the courier association in Hong Kong, this period was a honeymoon phase for the association, so he was instructed to be patient and refrain from any actions, which led to a continuous decline in the number of express delivery orders. However, after the New Year, Dongfeng Express would no longer tolerate those few companies!

Upon hearing Xu Jiang's words, Zhang Weimin immediately smiled and said, "Brother Jiang, I'm relieved to hear that!"

After saying that, he jogged out, his steps becoming much lighter, hopped on his old bicycle, and sped away.

Nearly an hour later, after delivering the other three packages, Zhang Weimin rode his bicycle to Yongxing Toys.

As he approached the entrance of Yongxing Toys, he saw a young man with triangular eyes riding a bicycle past him. The young man chuckled when he saw him, while Zhang Weimin curled his lip in annoyance.

This guy is from Flash Express, his name is Wang Hui. Several factory express delivery companies that originally belonged to him have now fallen into his hands.

However, he immediately had a question: why did Wang Hui ride his bike from Yongxing Toys? Yongxing Toys was one of Dongfeng Express's earliest and most loyal customers, and they had always stuck with Dongfeng Express!
Thinking of this, he pushed off with his feet and pedaled faster. When he arrived at the entrance of Yongxing Toys, he immediately got off the car and ran into the gatehouse.

"Uncle Qin, this is a package delivered to the factory. Please sign for it!"

Grandpa Qin, who was pouring water, looked at Zhang Weimin with a surprised expression: "Young Zhang, is it you again today?"

Zhang Weimin laughed and said, "Isn't that me?"

Grandpa Qin put down the kettle, took the package from Zhang Weimin, signed it, and said, "I thought your colleague was covering your shift today!"

"Uncle Qin, I only get my day off on Fridays!"

Zhang Weimin put away the signed receipt and took out the waybill: "Our factory has a package to send to Hong Kong Island, right? Could you fill out this form? I'll take it to the store!"

Grandpa Qin asked in surprise, "Huh? I already filled it out! Didn't your colleague just pick up the package?"

"What? My colleague?!" Zhang Weimin exclaimed in surprise.

"Yes! The guy called Xiao Wang said you couldn't come today, so I signed the form and let him take it with him! Isn't that your colleague?"

Instantly, Wang Hui, whom Zhang Weimin had just bumped into nearby, flashed into his mind. It must be him!

Zhang Weimin stomped his foot angrily: "Sir, that's not someone from Dongfeng Express, it's someone impersonating us!"

Grandpa Qin realized he'd made a mistake and panicked a bit: "What! There are counterfeit ones? What should we do? Will my things be lost?"

What I just mailed was an envelope, which probably contained receipts or something. If it gets lost, Old Qin might get fired!
Zhang Weimin was furious and immediately rushed out, pedaling his bicycle frantically. He was both angry and anxious. He never expected that the other party would be so shameless as to impersonate someone from Dongfeng Express and take the package away!
In the biting cold wind, Zhang Weimin pedaled his bicycle like a whirlwind, sweating profusely, but he didn't see Wang Hui anywhere along the way.

Upon arriving at the Flash Delivery store, he didn't even park his car properly before rushing inside, shouting, "Wang Hui! Come out here! Wang Hui, give me back my package!"

Two or three people immediately ran over and stopped Zhang Weimin: "Hey, what are you doing!"

Zhang Weimin shoved one of the men aside, angrily shouting, "You Shandian Express are shameless! You're impersonating Dongfeng Express to cheat on my package! Get Wang Hui out here and give me back my package!" The Shandian Express manager, who had just been pushed aside, immediately turned grim upon hearing this: "What nonsense are you spouting? What cheating? We, Shandian Express, are a legitimate courier company. Don't cause trouble here! Get out!"

But Zhang Weimin didn't receive the package, so how could he just leave like that?

"Give me back my package!"

"Damn it! Trying to cause trouble here! Kick him out!"

Soon, Zhang Weimin and several others were locked in a brawl...

After finishing his work at the shop, Xu Jiang took advantage of a break to go to the Sea Lion Restaurant for breakfast. He ate barbecued pork buns, siu mai, shrimp dumplings, and other breakfast items with three glasses of milk. After burping, he rubbed his half-full stomach and slowly walked back.

As soon as he arrived at the store, he saw a large group of people gathered inside, making a ruckus. Xu Jiang immediately rushed over and asked, "What's going on? What are you all arguing about?"

"Brother Jiang, this is too much! Look what they did to Brother Weimin!"

Xu Jiang quickly squeezed into the crowd and saw Zhang Weimin, whose face was bruised and swollen, surrounded by a group of indignant deliverymen, his clothes torn.

Seeing Xu Jiang approach, Zhang Weimin called out aggrievedly, "Brother Jiang! It's all my fault! I couldn't get the package back!"

Seeing Zhang Weimin's appearance, Xu Jiang felt a surge of anger. He knew that the honest Zhang Weimin would not cause trouble on his own initiative, so he must have been bullied!
"Weimin, what happened? Who beat you up like this?"

"It's Flash Delivery! Wang Hui from Flash Delivery cheated our courier. When I went to ask for my package back, they wouldn't give it to me and even beat me up..."

"Brother Jiang, we can't let this go!"

"Brother Jiang, we must get an explanation for Weimin!"

After hearing Zhang Weimin's story, not only the group of people, but even Xu Jiang was shocked!
Even though Ye Dongsheng had warned him not to take any action yet, if he couldn't even protect his own men now, he might as well give up being the store manager!
Xu Jiang waved his hand and shouted, "Fuck them! Brothers, grab your weapons!"

At the Night Pearl Nightclub, Chen Tai, who was dreaming of getting rich, was awakened by a phone call. He got out of bed, shook his head, took a sip of hot water, and then calmly answered the phone:

"Hello, this is Chen Tai!"

"Brother Tai, hurry up and bring your men over! Our Lightning Express is surrounded by Dongfeng Express! They're about to break in!"

Chen Tai's expression changed: "What?! I'm coming right away!"

After hanging up the phone, he immediately pushed open the door and shouted, "Apo, Abiao, tell someone to come with me! To Shandianda!"

Although he has now completely focused his career on the Night Pearl, he has not forgotten his promise to Ni Yongxiao to take good care of Shan Dian Da.

After all, Zhao Lidong's connections were facilitated by Ni Yongxiao, and the company only got a joint venture status because of Ni Yongxiao. His current development is also inseparable from Ni Yongxiao's support. If something happens to Shandianda, he won't be able to explain it to Ni Yongxiao!
Fortunately, the Night-Shining Pearl wasn't too far from Lightning Tower. When Chen Tai and his men arrived, they found the entrance to Lightning Tower completely surrounded, with the manager and staff huddled inside, shouting:
"Xu Jiang, what is Dongfeng Express trying to do? We have already called the police!"

Xu Jiang snorted coldly: "You dare to steal our Dongfeng Express packages, but now you don't have the guts to come forward?"

"You're not coming out, huh? Brothers, let's go!"

After saying that, Xu Jiang kicked the shop door hard!

The two deliverymen behind him followed suit and kicked the door several times. Seeing that the door wouldn't open, Xu Jiang waved his hand and said, "Come and ram it with me!"

After saying that, he led the two of them to slam the shop door open with a bang!
"Stop! You all stop right there!"

Hearing the voice behind him, Xu Jiang turned around and saw that it was Chen Tai, not a policeman. He turned back and said:
"Go in! Anyone who tries to stop you, beat them all to the ground! Those guys who beat Weimin, and that guy who stole the package, find them all! I'll take responsibility if anything happens!"

"Okay!" A group of people responded in unison and then rushed into the Lightning Store.

Dongfeng Express mobilized all its delivery personnel this time, recruiting forty or fifty people in total, most of whom were veterans.

Flash Express's order volume is far less than Dongfeng Express's, and with the store manager, there are only about ten people. How could they possibly withstand the onslaught of these fierce men?

However, Xu Jiang did not enter the store. Instead, he stopped at the store entrance with about ten people and looked at Chen Tai, who was rushing over with a group of his men.

"Xu Jiang! I told you to stop, didn't you hear me!"

Xu Jiang snorted coldly: "Damn it, Chen Tai, who do you think you are! I'll call you Uncle Tai out of respect, otherwise I'll send you to your grave!"

"Damn it, Xu Jiang! Go! Stop them!" Chen Tai commanded his group of thugs to rush forward.

But Xu Jiang wasn't intimidated at all. He kicked one of his underlings who charged at him away and shouted, "Brothers, kill them!"

Chen Tai thought that his group of thirty-odd men were all seasoned thugs and that taking down the Dongfeng Express guys would be a piece of cake. But he didn't expect that the Dongfeng Express couriers were all fierce. Even though they had already rushed in halfway, the men outside the store were all experts who could fight three against one. Not long after the two sides clashed, Chen Tai found that his men were being beaten and were falling to the ground, screaming in pain!

Chen Tai couldn't hold back any longer. If he and a group of people were to be overwhelmed by a bunch of deliverymen here, how would he ever be able to face the world again?
Moreover, if he can't protect Shan Dian Da, how will he explain it to Ni Yong Xiao?
With a heavy heart, Chen Tai pulled out a gun from his waist, pointed it at Xu Jiang, and shouted, "Stop, or I'll shoot!"

Immediately, many people stopped what they were doing and looked at Chen Tai and Xu Jiang.

Xu Jiang threw one of the thugs he was holding to the ground, looked at Chen Tai who had a gun pointed at him, strode up to him, and pressed the gun against his head, saying:

"Chen Tai, if you have the guts, shoot today, or you're my grandson!"

Chen Tai thought that pulling out his gun would intimidate Xu Jiang, but he didn't expect the guy to be so reckless, which put him in a difficult position!

Chen Tai gritted his teeth, cocked the gun, and shouted, "You really think I wouldn't dare hit you?"

Xu Jiang reached into his pocket and pulled out a pistol, pointing it at Chen Tai: "Damn it! Who's afraid of who?!"

For a moment, everyone seemed to hold their breath, and the scene fell into silence, with only the two men pointing guns at each other's heads in a standoff!

P.S.: Sorry everyone, feel free to criticize!
A couple of days ago, I sat in front of the computer wanting to add two more chapters, but the later part of the plot just wouldn't make sense to me. It conflicted with what I had envisioned, and I couldn't figure it out.

The more I couldn't think of anything, the more anxious I became, and as a result, I didn't write anything at all. I got into emo and completely gave up and didn't want to write anymore.

After taking a two-day break, I figured that no matter what, even if this part of the story wasn't handled well, I should just move on and move on. I couldn't just abandon it, since there was still a lot left to write.

I won't say whether I'll make up for it or not. Making a promise and then not being able to keep it makes me feel terrible, and I just want to escape completely. All I can say is that I'll write more when I have free time.

I kowtowed and begged for forgiveness, oh my god!
