Chapter 141: 3-Layered Sky Sphere
Chapter 141 Triple Heavenly Sphere
Before Sanguinius returned to the IX Legion during the Great Crusade, the force was a brutal and loose organization.
Due to the brutality and peculiarities of the ghouls at the time, the IX Legion was restricted and supervised by the Military Tribunal, and its commanders were more like elected warlords than glorious Space Marine commanders.
All this changed after Sanguinius returned. The benevolent archangel could not accept that his offspring were like a group of twisted and mutated monsters.
But he did not force his descendants to change, but taught them what honor and kindness are.
Sanguinius did not simply preach, but used a set of effective systems to regulate the behavior of the Ninth Legion, hoping to curb the Ninth Legion's desire for blood and violence.
The system that the Archangel created for the Ninth Legion is called the Triple Celestial Sphere. He uses the Triple Celestial Sphere to issue orders to the entire Ninth Legion and plan strategic goals.
This system allowed the Ninth Legion to gradually break away from the shadow of its past as ghouls, thus becoming the glorious Blood Angels.
Each sphere is independent and distinct from the Legion's original company structure and the constraints of the basic military code, forming a clear organizational hierarchy that allows the warriors of the 9th Legion to focus their hunger and rage on a single purpose and overcome it.
This is not a blunt instrument, but an elegant and ingenious plan to improve the quality of the Legion while providing them with a more fundamental outlet.
This is the masterpiece of the Archangel, and it is also his fulfillment of his promise and the salvation of his descendants.
The outermost layer of the triple sphere is the legionnaires who fight on the battlefield with blades and grenade launchers.
The Second Earth is composed of the commanders and leaders of the Legions, who bear the responsibility of command and are required to carry out Sanguinius's will with keen judgment.
The First Sphere was the final tier established by Sanguinius within the IX Legion. These warriors would stand by the Primarch's side whenever he appeared. They did not fight in the company, but served as guards and attendants to the Archangel himself.
Every warrior chosen to join the First Earth will abandon their original mortal name, abandon their old identity, and serve the Primarch as an Immaculate.
They are Sanguinius's rage, tenacious will and all-seeing eyes, and Sanguinius relies on these most determined and loyal warriors to carry out the most dangerous missions.
Battles and quests that would taint their noble souls and stir up their blood thirst.
(The Holy Blood Guard, the old version is much more gorgeous than the original)
(Angel Tears, the black gloves of the first planet, specializes in doing dirty work)
(Crimson Paladin, Archangel's bedroom keeper)
The warriors of the First Earth wrapped themselves layer by layer with the names and armor given by the Primarch. Only in this way could they take off the blood-stained masks after completing the mission entrusted by the Primarch and return to the Legion with a clean body.
The Crimson Paladins were part of the First Earth during the Legion Era. They were the inner court guards of Sanguinius.
When these elite warriors, clad in Terminator armor and bearing the name Immortal, take to the battlefield, they serve as a barrier against their enemies and a shield to protect the Sons of Sanguinius. They form the unyielding anchor of the Blood Angels - an unshakable fortress of sword and shield.
It is through their sacrifice and unyielding resolve that the Blood Angels are able to unleash the noble wrath of their Legion.
The reappearance of such a force was used to defend Rostov. Chen Xi fully felt the importance the Blood Angels attached to this matter and their determination to protect the production of Holy Blessing Wine.
After all, in the history of the Blood Angels, there is only one Archangel who can be closely protected by the Crimson Paladin.
So the deal between him and Mephisto was quickly reached, and the Blood Angels could obtain about five thousand bottles of consecrated wine from Chen Xi every year.
It wasn't a large number, but for a Chapter that according to the Codex Astartes had only a thousand men, this amount was more than enough, and as long as it wasn't really used as a wine to go with meals, it was more than enough.
But the descendants of Sanguinius are not limited to the Blood Angels themselves, there are also a large number of successor groups.
During the Battle of Baal, Dante summoned all the Blood Angels to defend Baal, gathering more than 30,000 descendants of Sanguinius. With this number, 5,000 bottles of consecrated wine could only be barely enough to use them.
However, Mephisto was not dissatisfied with this. Instead, he accepted another suggestion given by Chen Xi.
"Blood thirst and black rage don't strike all the time. Your use of Consecrated Wine not only relieves blood thirst but also awakens black rage. In that case, why don't you learn from the Imperial Fists and hold a gathering similar to the Feast of Blades every once in a while, gathering all the sons of Sanguinius together and relieving their blood thirst by drinking Consecrated Wine?" Chen Xi's suggestion was a combination of the Imperial Fists' Feast of Blades and the practices of a certain Blood Angels Chapter.
"It's indeed a good idea to control blood thirst by drinking the consecrated wine collectively at regular intervals, and to provide additional treatment if someone falls into the Black Rage." Lematus supported this suggestion. After all, this would allow the descendants of Sanguinius to be closely connected again.
Although the Blood Angels are not as scattered as the Ultramarines, it is difficult for them to gather together like a ball of fire.
After all, the father who was able to maintain the unity of the Blood Angels was dead. The fact that the Blood Angels did not become like the Iron Hands was already a sign that the Archangel's teachings were successful enough.
It is for this reason that when the Blood Angels were split up, the Ninth Legion no longer existed.
Even though Dante could rally all the Blood Angels under the banner of Defending Baal, the extent of their unity was a matter of opinion.
After all, among the Blood Angels chapters, there were not a few that went against the teachings of Sanguinius and crossed that line. Lematus knew clearly that several chapters had either been labeled as rebels or were on the road to becoming rebels.
As for the sub-groups that were excommunicated and on the expedition of atonement, it is even more difficult to explain.
So it would be wonderful if there could be a gathering to bring all the descendants of Sanguinius together again.
Even if we just hug each other and cry to our dad?
Chen Xi's last words, in particular, made it impossible for Lematus and Mephisto to refute his suggestion: "A new millennium is approaching, and the empire will face the deepest darkness. In despair, we need to rebuild the legion. The Son of God will eventually return."
