Chapter 99: Fairy, Fighting Ghosts

Chapter 99: Fairy, Fighting Ghosts

"If the east is dark, the west will be bright~
I bask in the setting sun and my sorrow~
Not busy the night before, busy the night after~
After dreaming about gold, I dream about yellow millet~
......"

If the previous Cantonese and Hokkien were familiar, then the Sichuan dialect "Zuowang" that came later made the audience numb!

But, once this Northeastern rock music with a hint of grit hit the stage...

Everyone is going crazy!
Even the backstage staff were going crazy—everyone had exaggerated expressions, a dazed look, and then twisted their bodies.
What kind of fairy are you? A ghost fairy!
Everyone's mental state is finally wrong!

Or rather, I finally got into the state!

I’m excited. No matter what you sing, I’m excited!
Everyone at the scene seemed to have fallen into a collective unconsciousness. Even the older and more stable ones couldn't keep their composure anymore. They started to stagger as if they were drunk!
It seems like everything around me is unreal~
Hehe, hehehehe~
Hahaha, hahahahaha~
I should have eaten mushrooms earlier.
……

However, during the last song, Xia Tian decided to wake everyone up.

He took out his suona again and said, "This is the last song for the last day. Let me play a tune for everyone...to drive away the evil spirits~"

Everyone: You know what evil means, too?! You're the most evil person here! You have to pay me for listening to your songs!
At this moment, the last four words appeared on the big screen: "Sunset Shocking Waves"...

A complex electronic sound of multiple instruments started to sound, and then the sound of suona suddenly joined in, instantly drowning out all the sounds and crushing all the thoughts in the mind!
It was as if a golden sun was illuminating everything on the surging sea!
The strong penetrating and shocking power of the suona completely occupies every corner of my mind!
Listening to thunder in the vast ocean, watching the tide from a rock, the feeling of the setting sun and the roaring waves permeates my body and mind...

I don’t know when it started, but everyone in the audience stood up and started roaring amid the sound of suona that enveloped the entire stadium!
Many men took off their shirts, waved them wildly above their heads and shouted loudly.

Women can’t do this, they have to be reserved!

Although it is already December, the lowest temperature here is as high as 12°, just like summer!
Even if you're just wearing a thin shirt, you can't go shirtless, right?

I don’t know which wild sister started it - many people just reached into her clothes, untied her bra, and threw it at Xia Tian on the stage!

Xia Tian: Fortunately, it’s far away…

Finally, after more than an hour of inquiries, the audience finally dispersed...

It is said that the staff who cleaned the stage ended up collecting a lot of milk pockets!
There are various materials and styles, including small suspenders!
The staff filled three large sacks with the stuff, some of which even had phone numbers written on them!
That was really eye-opening!
The next day, the newspapers went crazy, and all the major pages published the story about the huge pile of milk bags, with dozens of photos!

……

After such an extreme output, summer began to quiet down.

He never shows up in public and turns down all TV shows and interviews.

He had two jobs to do in the remaining time, and he would leave after finishing them.

The first one is to release an album...

I hadn't thought of that originally.

But the environment on the island influenced me—that’s what Xia Tian felt! Or maybe it was my subconscious mind that affected me.

So, the song got a little out of control as they sang. Now that the impact is so huge, Brother Liu, who organized this event, almost knelt down and begged Xia Tian to release an album.

Xia Tian had no choice but to nod. All he needed to do was nod and record the song, and he would take care of the rest.

Anyway, I haven’t signed with any company in the summer, so I can just go out casually.

The four major record companies here also sent people to negotiate, including Rolling Stone, UFO, PolyGram, and Dianjiang... But Xia Tian didn't give them any chance to meet.

Although they also passed on the conditions through their connections, they were all very generous and directly treated him at the level of a superstar. Of course, Xia Tian could also be considered a semi-international superstar.

——It is considered a complete form in East Asia and Southeast Asia, half in the United States, and a quarter in Europe?
But Xia Tian refused, as he didn't need the money.

A signing fee of 10 million Hong Kong dollars?

No need.

But the album still has to be released, and this time there are more songs, one set of albums has four vinyl records, or four tapes.

(Some songs are not listed, such as Liu Sen’s “Calling Soul”, you can just treat it as a playlist~ You can find it on Bilibili~)

Recording songs in the summer is very fast, and I can basically record one or two songs in the morning. On the other hand, composing music takes more time.

Anyway, everyone is cool and catching up with the progress~
After all, time is money, my friend.

Now no one on the island is hotter than in summer. You can hear people talking about him on the streets and in taxis.

We have to take advantage of this wave of popularity!
At the same time, Xia Tian also used his connections to find someone to start a film crew here.

Some of the behind-the-scenes staff were transferred from Hong Kong, and some were locals.

In particular, we need to contact some filming locations, and we also need official support, so as not to get some gangsters to cause trouble.

Of course, I'm not stupid. Who would dare to touch such a popular figure? Are you crazy?!

On December 12, the crew was formed.

Xia Tian is the supervisor, the producer is from Scholar Films, a favor to us, and the director is Herman Yau from Hong Kong, who will be filming "Barbecued Pork Buns at the Eight Immortals Restaurant" next year.
This time we are going to shoot a horror movie, so we found him.

The name of the movie "Ghost Fighting" was adapted from the later game of the same name.

I came up with this idea when I invited a local temple performer who specialized in performing the "General's First Addition and Subtraction" performance on stage in the summer.
And this time, we have to use someone else's temple for the filming.

There is an old temple priest in the film who adopts the protagonist (an orphan), so a real temple priest was invited to play the role - there is not much plot, mainly a scene where the protagonist is abducted by ghosts and the "old man shaking people", striving for authenticity!
And this temple, of course, has to be Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva~
Actually, I wanted to choose the Mazu Temple in the summer!
As a result, after asking, I found out that the chief general and the two generals Zengshen were the guardian gods under the throne of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. They couldn't be mistaken for each other!

However, Mazu does have a different meaning in the southeastern coastal areas, especially on the islands.

There are over 3000 Mazu temples of all sizes on the island, and they can all trace their origins back to their ancestors. There are even fights over who is the first to arrive, the "Kai T Mazu"...

Many Mazu on the island are also known as "Bomb Mazu". It is said that during World War II, an air-dropped bomb fell but did not explode, and there was a Mazu temple nearby.

People later discovered that the right index finger of the Mazu statue, which was intact before the bomb fell, was broken. It is believed that Mazu helped to prevent the bomb from exploding. To this day, the AN-M64 is still on display in the temple.
There were also places where hundreds of bombs were dropped, but only a few hit and exploded, and the rest were either duds or missed the target.

The American soldiers who participated in the operation later recounted that they were about to drop bombs when a white light suddenly appeared. They vaguely saw a goddess in white sweeping the bombs onto the beach with her skirt. There happened to be a Mazu Temple nearby... I guess this is made up.
The story of "Fighting Ghosts" has been modified by Xia Tian. It turns out that a child adopted by a temple keeper is led to a ghost village by an evil demon who is destined to hinder his fate. He barely survives with some simple spells and the blessings of gods and Buddhas, but is eventually captured by the Ghost King...

Then at the critical moment, the temple priest grandfather who adopted him began to perform rituals in the temple - "old man shakes his head - old man shakes people", and then the first three guardian gods appeared with three incense sticks on their heads and three majestic generals under their feet. They killed the evil ghosts, kicked the ghost king's coffin away, nailed the ghost king to death, and rescued the male protagonist, the little boy!
As the story progresses, the protagonist's life story will also be described in detail - perhaps there will be a sequel in the future? I'll leave you with a stub~
This movie is mainly about the horror of ghosts, a child struggling in a deserted village where ghosts are rampant, and the gorgeous and exciting moment when the generals come forward to defeat the demons in the end!
(I considered Jackie Chan, but when I checked, he was only 4 years old. Forget it.)
