Chapter 87: The Battle between Sesak and Abaddon
Chapter 87: The Battle between Sesak and Abaddon
By scanning the life signals through the Auger matrix, they locked onto an Ogrin camp with a similar life signal.
Both captains of the first company were confident in themselves. To show fair competition, Sesak asked Abaddon the number of his company members and sent his adjutant to lead the others to attack another Ogryn settlement.
Stepping off the landing craft, Sesak assembled his team. He selected raiders who were all equipped with bolt pistols and chainswords.
He was giving a pre-battle speech in the team channel to the soldiers wearing Mark II Expeditionary Power Armor.
The first generation of power armor accompanied the Astartes in unifying the entire solar system, was also used in subsequent expeditions, and gradually withdrew from the battlefield as it was damaged.
Before the end of the Unification Wars, the Emperor began designing a new generation of power armor.
Stronger and more complex battle armor was successfully developed before the legions left the solar system, and its protective capabilities surpassed the first generation in all aspects.
"Brothers, the Primarch did not choose us to fight him in his first campaign. This is a disgrace to the First Company."
"We must declare in this battle of conquest, with the blood and death of the enemy, that the First Company is worthy of this honor."
"That way, he'll choose us the next time he goes to war."
The Order Shadow standing on the right side at the front of the queue did not have a red sickle painted on his right shoulder armor, but only a red falcon painted on his left shoulder armor to symbolize his adjutant status.
He frowned and said to Sesak.
"Captain, I think my father's words are telling us to stay rational and not indulge in killing."
There was a flash of anger in Sesak's eyes, and he shouted in a voice that was almost a roar.
"Dixon, what are we?"
"We are the Emperor's Angels of Death, the Scarlet Slayers. Killing is our duty."
He paused, suppressing his anger. He did not blame Nimrod, but spoke stubbornly.
"I will prove myself in my own way."
Sesak raised his chainsword and asked the warriors in front of him.
"what about you?"
Except for Dixon and the two squads of Order Shadows behind him, the rest of the company's soldiers raised their weapons and shouted loudly.
"Prove ourselves in our own way."
Sesak's black eyes were fixed on Dixon and several other Astartes.
"what about you?"
Dixon felt like he was being hunted by a wild animal, but he did not yield.
"I will join the fight."
"In my way."
Saisak curled his lips and said disdainfully.
"Keep your eyes open and see how we win back the glory for the company."
"set off!"
Sesak put on his helmet, and while he enjoyed the killing, the scanner integrated into the eyepiece would identify the enemies he had killed and update the counter.
This competition is both a team competition and an individual competition.
Sesek took the lead and rushed towards the Ogryn camp.
The Ogryns, who nomadically raise zebra-shaped creatures, are selecting their food for today.
At this moment, Sesak rushed into the tribe without commanding his men.
His command credo was to lead by example and kill the most enemies in each battle, and he achieved this every time.
In his eyes, the fallen battle brothers were all unqualified reapers.
Saisak crashed into the herd like a high-speed tank, smashing the heads of the green-striped zebras one by one.
Blood stained his black armor red, and the captain felt a familiar sense of comfort.
Facing Ogryn who was rushing towards him with a stick in hand, he directly swung his roaring chainsaw sword to attack.
Sesak's movements were faster and more violent than Ogryn's. His chainsaw sword slashed at Ogryn's chest, spinning and stirring.
Bathed in blood and minced meat, the company commander was moved and delighted.
[We are the Emperor's Angels of Death, the butcher's knives!
Governance is the business of Malcador and his people, but the killing is our responsibility. The Gene-Father will understand, and I will show him.]
Sesak drew back his chainsword, knocked over Ogryn's body, and rushed to the next moment.
He let his killing instinct run wild, relying on instinct rather than reason to exploit his enemies' weaknesses. Like the god of death in the legends of the old night, Sesak wielded his butcher knife, mercilessly slaughtering every Ogryn he encountered.
His violent killing spree inspired his guards and infected more warriors.
At the beginning of the battle, the First Company was like a wild horse that had broken free from its reins, letting its killing instinct run wild.
Dixon led two teams to avoid the main force. The other team he led had lost control and they did not agree with the cowardly words of the adjutant.
"calm!"
"return!"
"Keep fighting formation!"
Dixon kept shouting, calling out to his men as the Shadow of Order broke away from the team.
He was even glad to have lost control of the other team.
Dixon thought of this and subconsciously looked at the other team.
Then he saw a warrior covered in blood rushing madly into the group of Ogryns.
Dozens of Ogryn surrounded him, and Astarte swung his chainsaw sword and killed the enemy with a fierce cross slash.
At the same time, dozens of big sticks hit him.
The Space Marine didn't dodge, he rushed in front of the other Ogryn, swinging his chainsword.
He enjoyed the ear-piercing roar and the bloody flesh flying towards him as two huge clubs hit him hard.
Astarte was knocked back, and the club that had just been swung and collided with him hit him with another swing.
The Space Marine fell in a pool of blood.
Before Dixon could grieve over the death of his battle brother, four warriors from each of the two squads roared in anger at the same time.
The death of their battle brothers overwhelmed their last bit of sanity, and they roared and rushed towards the group of Ogryn.
At the same time, the Luna Wolves led by Abaddon were entering their final moments of the clearing campaign.
The First Captain did not neglect his command responsibilities when he swung his power sword to kill Ogryn.
"Katurian, two o'clock."
The Katurian Raiders are the assault unit of the first company of the Moon Wolves. They are the first wave of vanguard offensive and the last line of defense.
Their jump packs spewed blue flames, and with a hissing sound, the ten-man Astartes squad landed behind Ogryn.
They simultaneously raised their left arms, tore a gap with a volley of fire, and then rushed in.
They slashed with chainswords, not as solitary warriors as their competitors.
They covered each other and they took full advantage of the Marauders' mobility in tight spaces.
The Katurian raiding squad, like matadors performing a show, dodged Ogryn's charges in unison, firing bolts or slashing with swords.
Abaddon watched with satisfaction as his elite troops tore through the enemy's defenses from behind.
He focused on killing until he reached the target in front of him.
The First Captain turned on the communicator and sent a message to Sesak.
"I have concluded the battle," Abaddon glanced at the number in the eyepiece, "eighty-six."
As he expected, he received no reply and his company had won the victory.
Abaddon glanced at his men and spoke again into the communicator.
"Not a single person in my company died."
The time on the eyepiece passed two minutes and sixteen seconds before he received a reply from Sesak.
"I lost, eighty-four."
Abaddon's braids became even more upright, and he won again.
As always, as always.
At the same time, Nimrod led the fourth company to the meeting point.
I have a lot to do this week, such as taking my mom to the movies during the Lantern Festival, so I will only update twice a week from Monday to Friday.
I will resume three updates on Saturday.
