Chapter 59 Bukayo's Hunt

Chapter 59 Bukayo's Hunt
King Mrozek stepped down from the luxurious royal train. He was wearing clean and luxurious finely crafted power armor and a breathing mask to isolate himself from the unclean air. He impatiently asked the captain of the guard beside him.

"Where are those scums? Let's end this now. I don't want to stay in this filthy lower nest any longer."

If the five useless security captains he appointed in succession had not been killed by the scum, the noble him would never have visited such a filthy place.

"My king, my men have found the hole where those scums are."

The captain of the guard said, operating the data pad to show Mrozek.

"The scum's lair is in the dome called the Silt."

"Scum is scum, and the word sludge just sounds like a dirty place."

The captain of the guard said flatteringly, "My king is wise, that's exactly what he said."

"This sludge swamp was once a large water storage area for the Water Guild. It was later abandoned. Hundreds of Lower Nest gangs surrounded it, and a brutal battle broke out over it."

"Eventually, the whole area was reduced to rubble, all the pipes burst, and it became like a mud pit, hence the name."

Mrozek frowned and spoke with disdain.

"Scum just has no brains. They don't know that in the end there will be nothing in a brawl."

"The security forces are even more useless. They get paid so much every year, but they can't even deal with a bunch of scum."

"Lead the way, end this!"

Mrozek said impatiently.

An hour later, the king followed the captain of the guards into the passage, his boots sinking into the frozen mud of Naryanmar's cold weather.

At first, he felt no stickiness as he walked, until he felt his boots become heavy and looked down to check.

With the help of night vision goggles, Mrozek saw rotten garbage, rusty metal fragments and unknown organic matter stuck to his boots. He immediately felt his stomach churning and his hair stood on end.

The king hesitated for more than ten seconds before deciding to move on, but he called twenty-five guards, divided into five groups, to clean up the garbage on the ground.

The guards did not dare to disobey the order. They had not prepared any cleaning equipment in advance, so they could only bend over and push with bulletproof shields.

After more than ten minutes, they felt sore in their backs and took turns to rest.

Mrozek still felt annoyed. The airflow from the pipes and ventilation system poured into the passage from time to time, rolling up the pushed debris and hitting his gorgeous armor.

After walking forward for another two standard hours, the king saw that the view ahead widened at the confluence of multiple passages.

"It's quite clean here. Rest for ten minutes."

"Armor Servant, clean my armor for me."

The guard commander opened his mouth and said that the environment here was complicated and it was not suitable to stop and rest, and the king had said before that they should fight quickly and decisively.

He was about to dissuade him, but seeing that the armored attendant had already taken out a cleaning brush, cleaning spray, and polish, he had no choice but to shut up.

The guard commander held the laser pistol tightly in his hand and glanced around vigilantly.

His eyes swept over the abandoned maintenance platform and scaffolding, his pupils shrank, and there seemed to be the shadow of something in his sight.

It didn't look like an adult, but more like some kind of animal going down to its nest. He was just about to send his men to check when a beam of light suddenly shot out from the suspended wreckage of the building, hitting him precisely between his eyes and passing through the filter mask.

When Bukayo saw the guard leader being shot dead by him, he knew that the battle was won.

According to intelligence, the luxurious and shining false king is not a good commander.

His attack was the signal for the Third Regiment to launch an attack.

When the words "there is an ambush" lingered in the throat of the fallen guard commander, and when the guards, exhausted physically and mentally by the king's various demands along the way, did not react, dozens of light beams shot out from the abandoned maintenance platforms and scaffolding.

The King's Guards were caught off guard and more than twenty of them fell in the first wave of attack.

The guards then launched a hasty counterattack, raising their guns and attacking. However, the immature warriors of the third regiment now took advantage.

They are shorter in height, allowing them to hide behind lower obstacles; their bodies are narrower, leaving less exposed area.

During the shootout, the guards found it difficult to hit the enemy, but the skinny children were in a superior position and used their sophisticated weapons to shoot them when they had nowhere to hide.

Bukayo's selection also made them more adaptable to fighting in complex environments, but the king's guards were entering the lower nest for the first time. Without anyone to command them, they fled in all directions.

When attacked, Mrozek was startled. He shrank his body and hid behind his servants.

But he was the most conspicuous, wearing fine power armor and wrapped in thick fur, and soon attracted the fire of an entire platoon.

With the sound of thuds, Mrozek was horrified to see the servants all fall down.

Dozens of laser beams cut through the air, making sharp sounds.

The moment they hit the power armor, a dazzling, blazing white light burst out.

Mrozek thought to himself, "I'm going to die." He closed his eyes, but could still feel the flickering light.

After a few seconds, he found that he was not dead, and suddenly remembered that he was wearing a fine power armor passed down from generation to generation.

Mrozek grinned, raised his heavy logging rifle, and fired upwards.

Bukayo noticed that several soldiers in the fourth row had fallen. He did not want to waste his men's lives, so he gave the order to evacuate.

If the enemy stepped into the dim environment of the lower nest, it would be like prey entering his territory. He had plenty of time to play with this pseudo-king.

"You losers, follow me."

After repelling the enemy's attack, Mrozek's confidence soared, and he strode forward to lead the guards to continue the attack.

Over the next hour, the king defeated his enemies again and again, and his confidence grew.

"Sure enough, no one can resist the wise and powerful King Mrozek."

The "Sleepless One" watched as the guards around his prey became fewer and fewer, and the legs of the finely crafted power armor were subjected to concentrated fire under his own command, and several cracks had appeared on it.

The "Sleepless One" raised the laser spear in his hand. The dark light did not weaken his vision. He pulled the trigger and accurately hit the crack on the pseudo-king's right calf.

With a bang, Mrozek stumbled and fell to the ground.

He was in great pain, holding his leg and howling miserably.

Bukayo, who lost 104 warriors, launched an attack on the upper nest after recruiting in the lower nest. He wanted to sacrifice the Naryanmar nest to Nimrod.

Nimrod, who led the first regiment and conquered two hive cities, unexpectedly received a communication from Bukayo that his regiment had occupied the northernmost hive city of Naryanmar.

Nimrod then left the first regiment to reinforce the troops and led Malena and others to Naryan-Mar.

He was a little surprised to see that the third regiment was composed of teenagers. Bukayo actually led them to capture a hive city.

After listening to Bukayo's briefing, Nimrod realized that the young man used harassment, luring the enemy and guerrilla tactics to capture the nest city, and he couldn't help but praise him.

"Good tactical application," the Primarch thought further, "your selection method can be promoted."

"Those members of the Xiachao gang who don't want to be workers can participate in the selection process, and the projects will be carried out according to the needs of each group."

"My Lord is wise."

After praising Nimrod, Bukayo continued.

"My Lord, I have a gift for you!"
