Chapter 115: The Vixtrix Family Refuses to Surrender

Chapter 115: The Vixtrix Family Refuses to Surrender
"Father, after I left Vostronia, I successfully took control of the Zenit Galaxy, where I obtained a star map."

Bukayo retained all his memories before the surgery, but he quickly accepted his new identity and became accustomed to calling Nimrod that way.

He felt honored to be Nimrod's genetic offspring, and he enjoyed this new bond.

"This star map allowed me to obtain information about two new galaxies."

"After the Navigator and I studied it, we discovered that it contained records of a world ruled by knights."

Nimrod looked at Bukayo approvingly and began to praise him.

"Your discovery is exciting."

"Now, let me ask you to tell us about the situation in this galaxy."

Bukayo couldn't help but smile when he heard the praise from the Father of Genes.

He walked quickly to the strategic table, took out the data pad he carried with him, and after connecting with the thinker in the strategic room, a green holographic image of the galaxy emerged.

"As the galaxy is named after, the twin planets Daxos Alpha and Beta orbit the galaxy's star."

"They are in the same orbit, opposite each other."

"The rest of this system has nothing noteworthy about it, nor are they habitable worlds."

Ningluo nodded slightly and said with a smile.

"The Daxos Twins are the real value. That's why I came here immediately after receiving your report. We need to reclaim this system."

"Yes, father, the entire value of this galaxy lies in the Gemini."

"After a long war of conquest, the Vixtrix family has become the ruler of Daxos Alpha. In recent years, they have expanded into Beta."

Nimrod tapped his fingers on the back of the chair and asked the key question.

"I assume you've already had some contact with them. What are their strengths? What's their attitude?"

"Father, as far as I know, the Vixtrix family owns at least seventy-nine Knight Mechs, possibly more, but probably less than a hundred."

"I met with their Knight King Campbell and told him about the rise of the Terran Human Empire, but he showed no interest in it."

"When I mentioned that Mars had pledged fealty to the Emperor after signing the Treaty of Olympia, he immediately became enthusiastic and asked me dozens of questions."

Nimrod nodded. This did not surprise him, as it was consistent with what he knew about the Vixtrix family.

In his memory, when the Martian exploration fleet discovered this world, the Vixtrix family surrendered without bloodshed and became a legend. After that, they only followed the personal will of the Forging General.

But the Primarch had not come all this way to serve as a pawn of the Mechanicus.

Nimrod decided to conquer this family and make them pledge allegiance to him, but considering the situation of the Vixtrix family, this could be achieved in two steps.

After thinking for a few seconds, he asked again.

"How's the status of their Knight Mechs?"

Bukayo was prepared and answered immediately.

"From what I've seen, it's pretty bad."

"Although I understand that they once deployed seventy-nine knight mechas at once, that was nearly a thousand years ago during the process of unifying the world."

"Their colony ships were dismantled upon landing to provide basic materials for the settlers. This prevented them from relying on sacred templates for maintenance, and their number of sacred artifact maintainers has dwindled."

The lord of the third regiment said with a smile.

"When I met Knight King Vixtrix, he only had thirty-five Knight Mechs under his command."

"Even if it's not all they can mobilize, it should be almost the same."

"Very good, you have collected all the necessary information for me. Now send him a message and tell him that I am coming." Nimrod paused for a moment, thinking that the purpose of this trip was to absorb, not to destroy, he decided to give the Vixtrix family sufficient time to think and prepare.

"I will be traveling to the surface in a day to meet with Campbell Vickerstrix."

"After that, when you reach ten ship standard points, come to my office and I will give you a reward."

Upon hearing this, the "Midnight Poet" was excited, not only because it was the third time he had received the gift, but also because he had been recognized by Nimrod.

Bukayo chose to undergo reconstructive surgery in order to better serve Nimrod, and now there is a new layer of meaning between father and son.

A moment later, in the Primarch's private office, the shielding device was activated.

The "Midnight Poet" picked up a bottle of potion from the palm of the Father of Genes, raised his head and poured the dark and deep, gem-like gel-like potion into his mouth.

After Bukayo gathered the overflowing power, he looked towards the Primarch.

"'nightmare'?"

Nimrod nodded slightly and sent a thought pulse to Bukayo.

"Indeed, 'Dream Control' can force people into dreams. It is the core ability of the power system I bestowed upon you."

"Becoming a 'Nightmare' is also the time when you undergo a qualitative change."

Ningluo knew that different sequence potions would undergo a qualitative change in ability at Sequence 7 or Sequence 6.

This node of the "Dark" path is Sequence 7 "Nightmare", which obtains the core ability - "Dream Control".

The node of his "Black Emperor" pathway is Sequence 6 "Corrupted Baron", and the "distortion" ability he obtains is the embodiment of the essence of this pathway.

The Beyonders of the "Black Emperor" path appear to be abiding by the rules, but in reality they are profiting from them.

"Distortion" is a step further taken by the Extraordinary, from utilizing existing rules to actively distorting the rules.

Unlike the "Judges" of the adjacent path, the Beyonders are committed to maintaining order and revising the rules.

The Beyonders of the Black Emperor do not follow the rules; they bend them to serve their own ends.

Simply put, "My rules are the rules, and the rules that serve me are the rules."

However, he is still quite far away from being able to bend the rules according to his own will.

While Ning Lu was thinking, the new "Nightmare" bowed and saluted.

"Father, I will make good use of the power you have given me."

The next day, as the star's light illuminated the palace of the Vixsox family above Daxos Alpha, Nimrod, Bukayo, Arsène, and Gabriel boarded a landing craft and headed for the surface.

As the landing craft passed through the atmosphere and was still far from the ground, the Primarch looked down through the window.

At the aircraft parking area, the knight mechas of the Vixsox family lined up to welcome them.

On top of the gray metal body, the top cockpit hatch, shoulders and the outside of the legs are sprayed with green paint, which is particularly eye-catching.

Ningluo only took a glance and confirmed the total number of knight mechas: forty-seven.

[This is the full complement of mechas the Vixtrix family can deploy, though some may not be capable of sustained combat.]
The Primarch also noticed that apart from the knight mechas, he was greeted only by armed servants, but no civilians, no flowers, and no other corresponding ceremonial preparations.

This shows that Campbell did not greet it with a submissive attitude.

The Honor Guard's landing capsule landed first, and soldiers in black armor stepped out, lined up in an orderly manner, and stood opposite the knight mechas.

Then, the Primarch, guarded by the Lord of the Third Regiment, the Primarch's attendants and technical sergeants, walked out of the landing capsule and walked towards the knight mecha in the center.
