Chapter 111: Seven Apertures of the Heart

Chapter 111 Seven Apertures of the Heart (Part )
"Later, a Taoist had the opportunity to see the exquisite and transparent Ruyi Golden Pagoda. Observing its exquisite Zen mind, he realized this Seven Apertures Exquisite Heart Casting Technique."

"So, although this Seven Apertures Exquisite Heart Casting Technique has the form of Zhuang Zhou's response to the emperor, its spirit is the exquisite Zen heart of my Buddhism."

Jnanajuta said softly.

Vaisravana, also known as the great god Vaisravana who protects the religion before the Western Tathagata, is called Li Tianwang, the God of the Sky and the Pagoda-Bearing King in Taoism.

The exquisite and translucent golden pagoda with relics given by Sakyamuni, and the one who subdued Narajna, were actually Nezha, the son of Vaisravana, the great god of the Three Altars and the commander of the central altar.

Unlike Nezha in the Investiture of the Gods, who became a disciple of Taiyi Zhenren, Nezha in the world of Yamafu in Journey to the West is not a Taoist, but a Buddhist guardian deity. Nezha cuts off his flesh to repay his mother and removes his bones to repay his father, who is the Western Sakyamuni. He uses green lotus roots as bones and lotus leaves as clothes, chants the mantra of resurrection, and enables Nezha to be reborn. He also lets Nezha regard Buddha as his father, resolving the feud between him and Li Jing.

The "father king" that Nezha mentioned actually refers to the Buddha in the pagoda, because the Buddha gave Li Jing an exquisite pagoda with Buddhas on every floor. When Li Jing was holding up the pagoda, Nezha recognized him as his father.

From then on, Nezha the Third Prince subdued demons and protected Buddhism. In Buddhist scriptures, he is shown with three heads and six arms in a wrathful form, holding a vajra in his hand and stepping on an evil dragon, with great supernatural powers.

Narentiliyashe frowned slightly, a thoughtful look on his face. He slowly said, "So that's how it is. This Donor Lu's cultivation method has such a deep connection with our Buddhism. This Seven-Aperture Exquisite Heart, although a Taoist practice, is imbued with the teachings of our Buddhist scriptures. This shows that Buddhism and Taoism have a deep connection, mutually reinforcing, and both aim for the other side of transcendence."

Jhanajuta smiled and said, "Brother, you are absolutely right. This donor, Lü Shang, possesses such wisdom and has cultivated a refined Zen mind. He is truly a rare talent in this world. However, he is now seeking the truth. Although we are willing to convert him, we should not be too eager, so as not to disturb his practice."

Narentiliyashe nodded and said, "Brother, what you said is quite true. However, our Buddhist sect has always been based on compassion. If we can gain the conversion of a kindred spirit like Master Lu, it will be of great benefit to the spread of our Buddhist sect in the East. We must find an appropriate time to act."

Both Jnanajuta and Nalintiriyasas had the desire to spread Buddhism and influence sentient beings.

Although they have compassionate hearts, they are in this "sea of right and wrong" and even if they want to save the world, they often feel powerless.

The human heart is complex and unpredictable, and full of demonic obstacles. If one is not careful, one may trigger boundless karma. Not only will one be unable to save sentient beings, but one may also fall into an irretrievable situation.

It is in such an environment that talents like Lu Shang become even more precious.

Moreover, Lu Shang's own background was also suitable for spreading the Dharma. As the nephew of the Sui emperor and the future son-in-law, he led the troops to great success in the Battle of Jinshan. With both military merits and being a relative of the Sui emperor, no one dared to underestimate his influence.

Nalintiriyeshe often looked at the incense-filled Buddhist temple, his eyes revealing a trace of worry. He said, "Brother, this world is full of suffering. A promising talent like Master Lu is truly rare. But if we want to convert him, I'm afraid we will have to resort to extraordinary means to lead him on the path to enlightenment."

Jnanajuta nodded and said, "Brother, although it is difficult to convert Mr. Lu, Buddhism is vast and has its own methods. However, we must not act rashly at this moment. We can observe secretly first and guide his good intentions, perhaps we can inspire his good roots and make him convert to the ascetic world."

"I hope so,"

Nalintiriyasa's spiritual achievements were not as good as Jnanabhadra's, and the obstacles in his heart were far greater than Jnanabhadra's. He clasped his hands together, frowned, and seemed to be shrouded in an invisible cloud of sorrow.

------

"The emperor of the South Sea is Zhu, the emperor of the North Sea is Hu, and the emperor of the Central Sea is Hun Dun."

A dharma-like figure with a human face, a serpentine body, and crimson hair stood within the mind's core, amidst the chaos, imbued with boundless majesty and holiness. With a melodious and profound chant, the figure with a human face, a serpentine body, and crimson hair seemed to magnify countless times, its massive form tearing a crack through the void and chaos.

"Zhuan and Hu met each other in the land of Hun Dun, who treated them very kindly."

This majestic Dharma image was still not satisfied after opening an infinite crack, and its body continued to expand, trying to shatter the void and chaos.

He is like the legendary Pangu, who created the world in this chaotic world.

The statue with a human face, a snake body and red hair continued to expand, and its every movement seemed to carry the power of the origin of the universe.

In this endless nothingness, His breath spread like ripples, and wherever it passed, chaos began to have order. The originally boundless and clueless darkness and nothingness were gradually divided and shaped.

As the Dharma image continued to expand, the light on His body became brighter and brighter. That light was not an ordinary light in the world, but a kind of light that could penetrate the soul and cleanse karma.

The light gradually gathered into rays of light, which seemed to have life, shuttling through the space being opened up, outlining strange scenes.

"Zhuan and Hu planned to repay Hun Dun's kindness. They said, 'All people have seven orifices for seeing, hearing, eating, and breathing, but this one has none. Let's try to drill them.'"

The Dharma image with a human face, a snake body and red hair looked up to the sky and sighed, his eyes long and deep, as if there were endless light and shadows intertwined, and finally turned into a void and chaos.

"Drill a hole every day, and Hun Dun will die in seven days!"

Inside the small tent, Lu Shang opened his eyes, which were filled with chaos.

He stared blankly at the silk in front of him with a dull expression. After a long moment, he whispered, "Break and then stand, shatter and then become. This Seven Apertures Heart-Forging Technique is indeed extremely dangerous."

This Seven-Aperture Heart-Casting Technique is indeed not something that ordinary people can cultivate. If Lu Shang had not already attained enlightenment and had not been a pure-blooded Gonggong, with a mind different from that of ordinary people, I am afraid that he would have really died of exhaustion when he was "drilling one hole a day, and dying in seven days."

It was also because Lu Shang was born with a talent far beyond that of an ordinary person. When his mind was about to die, he saw through everything, broke it down and then rebuilt it, shattered it and then succeeded, turned death into life, and truly cultivated this exquisite heart with seven orifices.

At the moment he succeeded in cultivation, the Seven Apertures Heart made him fully realize the Dao's natural laws. His mind was like a clear mirror, immune to demonic obstacles. He understood the Dao and knew the normal method of practicing the Seven Apertures Heart.

Lu Shang always thought that this was a Taoist method, but in fact, it was a method of training the mind that combined Buddhism and Taoism.

Taoists drill seven orifices, one a day, and after seven days they will be in a state of chaos and death. Buddhists transform death into life and practice the Buddhist path of Nirvana.

Combining Buddhism and Taoism, one can cultivate a heart with seven orifices, also known as a Zen heart with seven orifices.

After Lu Shang learned the true method of practicing the Seven Apertures Heart Casting Technique, he felt a little more awe for this strange method.
