50s: Starting with a storage ring

Chapter 45 Reserve Supplies

Chapter 45 Reserve Supplies
When he got closer, he found that this was a storage room filled with all kinds of messy things. There was indeed a secret room under the storage room. There was an underground passage on the north side of the secret room leading to the northwest.

Confirmed, this is the exit of the tunnel.

In fact, when he saw the tunnel just now, he knew that he could not keep this house. Who knows how many people know about this secret passage?

This hidden danger could not be eliminated at all, and what he cared about most was the batch of supplies rather than the house. Houses were really not important before the reform and opening up.

Now that it was confirmed that the house was gone, the only thing left was how to get rid of the supplies, and not only that, but also to do it without anyone noticing.

Coming out of the library, he looked up at the sky. It was already late, so he didn't delay any longer and went straight to the kindergarten.

When he arrived at the kindergarten, it was time for school to be over. After successfully picking up his sister, he took the kindergarten bus back to the compound.

As soon as he got home, his daughter went out to play. Sun Zhiwei took advantage of the fact that the people in the compound were still working and went straight to find Lao Zhang.

Sun Zhiwei did not mention the house-hunting incident, but only said that he saw someone carrying a child in a sack into a yard on the road.

He reported the location of the kidnappers' den to Lao Zhang and left it at that.

Now all departments are cracking down on illegal crimes and cleaning up the cancer in the city. Once such cases are discovered, they will be dealt with severely.

As expected, Lao Zhang attached great importance to this clue. He organized his men and went out without even having dinner.

He stayed up with his daughter until 9 o'clock in the evening before going to bed. After his daughter fell asleep, he turned on the small lamp beside the bed, took out a pen and paper and started drawing a topographic map on it.

The location of the courtyard is very interesting, it is right at the corner of a cross wall. There are two walls that cross each other, dividing the area into four parts.

The four places are arranged clockwise, namely the spy's small courtyard, the southwest corner of a private hospital, the northwest corner of the National Library and the northeast corner of the courtyard at No. 4 Wenjin.

The four places are not far from each other, but are separated by cross walls. There are four entrances to the four places, and they are not in the same direction.

That small courtyard seemed like a dead end, but if you got stuck, you could quickly get to the library through the tunnel. There was a lot of traffic there, and it was well connected, so it was easy to get away.

It is now impossible to approach the yard through the alley, and the only way is to find a way from the other three sides.

He had already been to the library. That was the tunnel exit, so theoretically there should be someone watching. He didn't know if there were any of their accomplices there. It was quite dangerous, so he didn't plan to go there again.

Courtyard No. 11 is a large courtyard with four entrances. No one knows who lives there now, but it can be imagined that they are either rich or noble.

This kind of yard is not suitable for him now or in the future without a valid reason.

He would have to wait until tomorrow to find time to go to the hospital and see if there was a suitable place to stay. Having made up his mind, he turned off the lights and went to sleep.

Lao Zhang didn't come back until he fell asleep.

The next morning after breakfast, he sent the girl out to play, put on casual clothes, dressed neatly and went out.

This time he went around to the north side of Wenjin Street and entered the hospital. The hospital was busy with people coming and going, so there was no need to worry about anything. He pretended to stroll around and went around to the southwest corner.

There was actually a building against the wall. He took a look through it and saw that it was a laboratory building. Near the southwest corner was a wall with a row of benches next to it. Many family members were sitting on the benches waiting for the test results.

This was a really great place. He immediately walked to the front of the building to find the entrance, then leisurely ran to the bench in the corner, found an empty seat and sat down, pretending to wait.

There was a nurse not far away who kept calling out numbers. Since there was no way she could call him, he just sat there and extended the ring space behind him.

He had already seen the basement of the courtyard. Now that no one was in the courtyard, it was a good time to act. He first carefully examined the underground structure of the laboratory building below him and found that no one knew who built this building, but the foundation was very deep.

The bottom waterproof layer is two meters thick and extends 8 meters underground. Solid concrete is poured on top of the waterproof layer to a thickness of 5 meters. The top layer is the foundation of the small building.

This kind of foundation is enough to build a 10-story building, but in the end only a 3-story building was built. What a waste.

It's normal that he doesn't understand. This place was originally built for daily life. They originally planned to build a big one, but when it was halfway built, the war was over and they ran away.

After the unfinished building was taken over, it was sold to the private hospital next door at a low price. The hospital had no money to continue construction, so it simply hired a construction team to hastily complete the roof and finish the project. This is how the strange experimental building came about.

It has been confirmed that the foundation is also a frame structure, so it will not have any impact if there is less cement filled in the middle.

He dug out several unconnected cubic spaces in the middle of the thick foundation.

From now on, this will be his exclusive treasure cave. These treasure caves have no doors or windows, just lonely cubic holes.

The cavity is surrounded by solid reinforced concrete, which is waterproof, insect-proof and theft-proof. There is no safer place than this.

After the place was dug, he began to move the supplies in the cellar of the courtyard. Needless to say, rice, flour, cloth, etc. were all moved away.

He also took away a box of valuables, but he didn't touch the weapons. He also threw the extra pistols he had collected some time ago into the box. These things were everywhere, and he only needed a few to use. Too many would take up space and would not be of any use.

Moreover, there were no good weapons in that era. If it was a Barrett, he would have kept it. Unfortunately, the Barrett had not been invented yet.

After he got the things out, he put them into the treasure cave under his feet. He couldn't use any of these things right now, so he could only treat them as reserve supplies, hoping to use them later.

The next step was to report it. He left the hospital directly and walked towards Xishiku Street, where there was a big police station.

When he passed by a post office, he used his ring's space to take a book of stationery and a dozen envelopes. He paid the price and dropped some money into the cash box, not forgetting to give himself the change.

It is not easy for people to have a job at that time, and he does not want to cause trouble to others. Too much or too little money will be troublesome for the salesperson, so he is more careful in this regard.

You have to pay when you buy something, otherwise it's considered robbery. Taking the spies' supplies doesn't count.

He found an empty corner on the road, wrote a few lines of words on a piece of letter paper with his left hand, and stuffed it into an envelope. On the envelope, he wrote three big characters: "Ju" and "Bao Xin".

When he passed by the police station, he used his ring's space to stuff the envelope into the pile of letters on the guard room table without attracting anyone's attention.

Then he walked along Xishiku Street to the gate of a courtyard, which was one of the ten addresses.

He was a little surprised to see that the gate of the courtyard actually opened onto the street. This couldn't be a mansion, right? But looking at the gate, it didn't look like one either. There were no stone lions at the door, and no screen wall opposite.

However, what can be confirmed is that this is a BJ standard Ming and Qing Dynasty courtyard Ruyi Gate, which is the gate style of ordinary people's homes.

The gatehouse has a gable roof covered with small green tiles, and the door panels are built between the outer eaves columns. There are ruyi-shaped brick carvings on the upper left and right corners of the doorway, and two ruyi-shaped flower door pins are carved above the door, with the word "ruyi" engraved on the door pins.

The bottom of the door panel is often covered with Ruyi-shaped iron sheets, and Ruyi floral decorations are carved at the corners of the lintel and the brick walls on both sides, which symbolize good luck and good fortune. Because Ruyi is often used in decoration, it is called Ruyi Gate.
