Mercenary I am the king

Chapter 249 AUC Organization

Chapter 249 AUC Organization
The chef's friend Ivan got into trouble in Colombia, which made Song Heping very helpless.

There are still more than ten days before the bidding for the US military's logistics transportation contract next month. Although all the specific matters of the entire project have been handed over to Ferrari, there should not be any accidents. After all, this is an internal decision and no one else can interfere. However, the signature still needs to be signed by oneself. After obtaining the contract, it must start recruiting drivers and a certain number of local mercenaries on a large scale, building a parking lot, a maintenance department and a new office building.

By then I will be so busy that my feet will be banging on the ground.

I originally wanted to go back to China before I got busy, to see my younger brother and sister, and to buy some property in China, such as a house, and rebuild the ancestral home in my hometown.

But now that this has happened, all plans have been messed up.

Song Heping vaguely felt that things were not so easy to solve.

South America.

That hellhole is most famous for its anti-government armed forces and drug trafficking gangs.

From Mexico to Colombia, from Brazil to other messy small countries, each one is more chaotic and ferocious than the other.

Especially in Colombia, the Americans have been fighting against drug traffickers there for many years, but the result is that they have achieved nothing, not to mention no results.

The situation there remains the same.

Drug traffickers are still active, and anti-government armed forces are still fighting with government troops.

In fact, after the two million arms that the chef had taken were intercepted by the AUC rebels, Song Heping originally intended not to pursue the matter for the time being and find an opportunity to take revenge later.

After all, the strength is right in front of us.

Not to mention the long distance, the strength of both sides is not on the same level.

A defense company versus an armed rebel group.

One has only two companies of soldiers, and the other has tens of thousands of people.

Do you still want to go to other people's territory to fight with others?

What is the odds?

In this world, strength is always king.

When you are not strong enough, you have to learn to bow your head.

But the Russians are just too arrogant.

Ivan thought that he had been in the Russian underworld for so many years and that he could understand everything just because he was a small boss.

In fact, the rebels in South America really don't take your mafia seriously.

How dare you travel all the way to Colombia with your two little brothers to collect the debt?
I really don’t know how many eyes the Horse King has.

In the evening, Ferrari came to Song Heping and handed him some information.

Song Heping took a quick look and saw an introduction to the AUC organization's structure, military strength, and stationings.

Obviously, this is internal information, otherwise it would not be so detailed. It includes the information of the main persons in charge, including the situation of their families, which is very detailed.

"That's all I can get. The AUC is far-right, they're not easy to deal with."

Ferrari pointed to the intelligence and said, "It says in there that they might be supported by the Colombian government."

"what!?"

This surprised Song Heping.

"Isn't he from an anti-government armed group?"

Song Heping originally thought that if it was an anti-government armed force, he might be able to get some support from the government forces, negotiate some conditions, and borrow some strength.

Now it is said that AUC is related to government forces. How can we deal with this?
"You should finish reading it first," Ferrari said. "I have to get busy with the bidding."

After saying that, he stretched.

Song Heping saw that Ferrari's eyes were a little red, which showed that he had not slept well in the past few days, and he couldn't help but feel touched.

Ferrari is the only civilian in the "Musician" defense department, and many people think Ferrari is the most comfortable one.

In fact, this ignores the role and hard work of administrative supervisors.

Ferrari was responsible for all the intelligence, communications, and document processing required for each operation, from its inception to completion.

Take the bidding for the transportation business this time for example. It was said to be an internal decision, but in reality, there were many tedious documents that needed to be processed, and we had to communicate with the military to find out the gaps and fill them. In a nutshell, there were so many things to do behind the scenes.

The hard work of civil servants is beyond the understanding of outsiders.

"Ferrari, thank you for your hard work. After I get the contract, I will give you enough bonus according to the company's reward regulations."

Song Heping never only provides emotional value, but also monetary value.

Ferrari smiled and waved his hand when he heard this: "How much?" Song Heping said: "How much do you want?"

"I've found a building in Santorini that I want for $100 million," Ferrari said.

Song Heping said: "Don't worry, that's enough."

Ferrari pointed his finger at Song Heping and said, "I believe you."

After saying that, he returned to his seat and continued working.

Song Heping also came to his desk and opened the intelligence document.

If you want to start a war, you must find out the enemy's background.

As the saying goes, if you know yourself and the enemy, you can fight a hundred battles without danger.

The material is very thick, more than a hundred pages, but fortunately it is all in English, so reading is not a problem.

Song Heping read page after page, and became more and more frightened.

Generally speaking, the structure and number of people of the AUC organization were presented in front of him on pages of paper.

There are currently multiple rebel groups in Colombia representing different ideologies, policies and capabilities.

The three most powerful and active groups are the left-wing Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC-EP) and the National Liberation Army (ELN), and the right-wing United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia, AUC).

The relationship between them is very subtle and interesting.

For example, although FARC and AUC are both anti-government armed groups, they hate each other and regard each other as mortal enemies.

The reason is that FARC is left-wing and wants to overthrow the Colombian government; while AUC is right-wing and protects the interests of the local landlord class.

The AUC armed forces were established relatively recently, in 1997, but its roots can be traced back to the Colombian self-defense militia that has always existed. There are many right-wing militias among the rural landlord class in Colombia because they believe that the Colombian government has not done enough to protect their safety.

The AUC was founded because both the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the National Liberation Army (ELN) imposed taxes on the landowners, causing serious discontent among them.

These numerous but scattered right-wing militias finally established a unified organization in 97 as a force to resist anti-government armed forces in the local area. In essence, it is an auxiliary and supplement to the army, which is now the AUC armed forces.

This is why Ferrari says the AUC and Colombia's government forces are inextricably linked. While there is no conflict of interest between the AUC and the government forces, there is an irreconcilable natural hostility between the AUC and left-wing militias like the FARC and the ELN.

Although these three armed groups have different aspirations, they also share some commonalities.

For example, all three organizations are considered terrorist organizations by Europe and the United States, all use the illegal drug trade as a source of funding, and all have used child soldiers.

For this reason, the Colombian government has never admitted any connection with the AUC, and has denied that the AUC is a local armed force that helps them resist the FARC and ELN.

After reading it, Song Heping fell into deep thought.

He himself believed in the authenticity of this information.

Although Americans are very stupid in some aspects, their intelligence capabilities are unquestionable.

Especially the DEA, which has been deeply rooted in South America for many years, and the intelligence it has accumulated is unlikely to have any problems.

If the intelligence is true, it means that the government forces are turning a blind eye to the AUC, or even secretly supporting it. The government forces are definitely happy to see that the last batch of arms was intercepted by the AUC from local drug trafficking gangs.

To take action against the AUC, Song Heping had three ideas - using the power of government forces, using the power of other armed forces hostile to the AUC, and using a lone small team mode to assassinate their leaders or kidnap their important figures in exchange for hostages.

The method of a small team entering and assassinating is the most undesirable.

There are many virgin jungles in Colombia. Even the American special forces may not be able to complete the decapitation operation if they go in, let alone a small company like yourself?

If intelligence and logistical support cannot keep up, the chances of success will be even lower.

So this option is the most unrealistic and the most dangerous one.

The best option is of course to use the power of the government army to fight against the AUC, but now it seems that this idea is like trying to get the skin of a tiger and is simply unrealistic.

Then, there is only one last way left, which is to use the power of other armed groups to kill AUC, or attack it to create chaos, and then their own people take the opportunity to go in and behead, kidnap, or even rescue Ivan.

That means we have to talk to FARC or ELN...

It is easy to say but very difficult to do.

These are all anti-government armed forces, and it is not easy to find trustworthy people to act as intermediaries to connect them with each other.

If not handled properly, just meeting can put you in danger.

But it seems that this is the only feasible way at the moment.

Song Heping finally made up his mind that most things in this world can be accomplished as long as you spend money.

Even if it costs something, you have to find someone who can connect with FARC or ELN, go to South America in person, meet with them, and see if there is any possibility of cooperation.
