Sherlock Holmes at Hogwarts.

Chapter 10: First Meeting with Harry Potter

Chapter 10: First Meeting with Harry Potter
Harry Potter was helpless.

Uncle Vernon, who was always demanding, drove him to King's Cross Station for the first time and even helped him push his heavy suitcase into the station.

Harry was originally curious about why Vernon had become so nice, but when he saw that there was no Platform Nine and Three Quarters, he immediately understood.

No wonder Vernon ran so fast, he must have left himself here on purpose!
In desperation, he could only muster up the courage to ask the guard.

Although he did not mention Platform 9 3/4, he was still scolded as a troublemaker.

Mainly because Harry couldn't even clearly tell where Hogwarts was.

When he learned that there was not even a single train leaving at 11 o'clock, he felt extremely helpless.

Fortunately, he met a kind wizard family.

With their help, Harry finally made it to Platform 9 and 3/4.

However, since we arrived too late, the train was almost full.

Harry could only squeeze through the crowd with great effort and found an empty box near the rear of the car.

He tried to move the suitcase onto the pedal, but because he was thin and the suitcase was too heavy, he tried twice and the suitcase fell heavily on his feet.

At this time, I no longer cared about the pain in my feet.

He took a deep breath and made a third attempt.

There is no doubt that it failed again.

At the critical moment, a strong hand caught the suitcase steadily, preventing it from hitting Harry's feet for the third time.

Harry looked up and saw a face that was impressive at first glance.

"You need help."

With a little effort, the other party lifted the suitcase onto the step and smiled at Harry.

Harry grew up in an environment of bullying and oppression.

Whether at home or at school.

He didn't even have his own room in the family; his aunt and uncle made him live in a spider-infested storage room under the stairs.

If he got into any trouble, he would be punished by not being allowed to eat, and he would be bullied by his cousin Dudley from time to time.

Harry didn't have any friends at school.

This was also because of Dudley.

As the school bully, Dudley is extremely tyrannical.

He is the only one who dares to take off his pants in public, and he is the only one who pulls up others' pants when they have urinated on them.

Since everyone knew that Dudley hated Harry the most, no one wanted to go against Dudley and his gang.

In this environment, Harry naturally developed an introverted personality.

however.

At this moment, Harry dared to bet that the smile of the little boy standing in front of him was the most charming smile he had ever seen in his life.

Whether it was his distinctive grey eyes, his long, hawk-hooked nose, or the ease with which he handled the suitcase, he all looked exceptionally reliable.

The last time I felt this way was on my birthday.

The giant Hagrid brings a letter of recommendation to Hogwarts and tells Harry that he is a wizard.

"I'm Sherlock Holmes, a first-year student. What's your name?"

While Harry was still in a daze, Sherlock had already reached out his hand to him.

"Hello, Holmes, I'm Harry Potter, and I'm also a first-year."

Harry was so nervous that he stretched out his hands when he faced Sherlock.

But he quickly realized that this was too stupid and quickly withdrew one hand.

The main reason was that he really didn't have much social experience and was afraid that the other party would laugh at him.

Sherlock naturally wouldn't do that.

Even for Sherlock, it was not an easy task to find Harry Potter, whom he had never seen before, on the entire train.

Fortunately, Sherlock arrived early enough to give him enough time to clear out those waiting on the platform in advance. This way, he only needed to focus on the people who had just entered the platform.

Even so, Sherlock was a little surprised.

Because when he found Harry, he discovered that he came alone and did not look well.

This fact made Sherlock wonder for a moment if he had found the wrong person.

Even though Harry has lost his parents, given his status in the wizarding world, it wouldn't be strange for eight or ten people to come and see him off, right?

But he happened to come here alone.

When you have eliminated all the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how unbelievable, is the fact.

So Sherlock understood that the hero who saved the magical world did not grow up in the wizarding world, but stayed in the non-wizarding world.

This also made Sherlock more interested in Harry.

"Just call me Sherlock," Sherlock extended his hand and shook Harry's. "It's crowded up front, so let's just sit here, Potter—or can I call you Harry?"

"Ah? Ok, ok."

Harry nodded subconsciously.

When he came to his senses, he found that Sherlock had pushed him to the window side of the carriage.

Sherlock then moved all his luggage in, and also placed his pet owl Hedwig in there.

Harry did not feel much aversion to the clear arrangements made by Sherlock, whom he had just met. Instead, he felt more at ease.

He was very nervous when he first stepped into the magical world, and he needed a role like an older brother.

Even a bold idea came into my mind:

It would be nice if I could always follow Sherlock like this.

Compared to his cousin Dudley, this new classmate who looks very reliable is more like a real brother.

If Sherlock hadn't said it himself, he would have thought the other person was a senior classmate.

After the two of them settled down, Sherlock looked at Harry again:
"It looks like you're not doing well."

Just one sentence made Harry feel a strong desire to talk.

Seeing Sherlock's encouraging eyes looking at him, he told him everything he had experienced over the years.

At this time, Sherlock was a competent listener. He kept nodding his head and asking a few questions from time to time.

After the conversation, Sherlock had a more comprehensive understanding of Harry.

It's more interesting than I thought.

"So, your uncle dropped you off at the station today and then left. Luckily, you were helped by others and finally made it here?"

"Exactly! I was wondering why he suddenly became so nice—wait, how did you know that?"

Harry was talking when he suddenly felt something was wrong.

He looked at Sherlock in shock.
“I only said that I have lived in a relative’s house over the years, and I didn’t say that he was my uncle!
And how did you know I couldn’t find the platform and got help from other people?

Sherlock was already used to this kind of reaction from Harry.

At first he enjoyed the feeling.

After explaining his reasoning process in detail, looking at the surprised and admiring eyes of others, a sense of superiority arose in his heart.

But after so many times like this, Sherlock has become so accustomed to this kind of reaction that it has become boring to him.

Now, he just felt that this ability was commonplace and not worth praising.

Anyone can reach his current level through serious training.

But others obviously don't think so.

Just like Harry in front of us.

Looking at his expression, Sherlock knew that if he didn't explain everything clearly, their friendly conversation would not be able to continue.
