Many years ago, when I put my first book on the shelves, the first sentence I wrote was "walking on thin ice."

My mentality now is exactly the same.

Perhaps it is because carrying a story that everyone expects is always very thrilling, for fear that if you take a wrong step you will fall under the ice and never recover.

But fortunately, after so many years, I have made some progress in planning and describing daily things, and I can finally read some of them.

It is no secret that most of the inspiration for this book comes from The Godfather.

This winter, I suddenly became obsessed with the stories of these Italian Sicilian men who used guns to kill, love and hate.

I am obsessed with its description of family, the strong bloodline, and those fatalistic prophetic expressions.

So there was a beginning.

What kind of story is this?
I remembered reading the comments after watching "The Godfather", "The trilogy is actually about the rise and fall of the Roman Empire."

I think this is the story I want to write, the founding and rise of a kingdom.

So I wrote this sentence in the opening chapter: The kingdom is growing quietly, and one day in the future, it may rise up.

Indeed, now it is not even the shadow of a kingdom, but just an adobe foundation.

It still looks so rough.

During the writing process, I made many mistakes and illogical plots, but fortunately, everyone was quite tolerant of me and supported me to this day.

Besides my editor Lu Mingju, I will always be grateful to everyone who has always supported me.

You are all the cornerstones of the Kingdom.

Maybe one day, we will actually see the building completed.

Finally, every time I write a review of my release, I always choose a song to listen to.

This time it is Wan Qing's "Jiaomian Temple".
