Chapter 115 Karna: Brother, the rest is up to you.

Chapter 115 Karna: Brother, the rest is up to you.
The brass dome of the meeting room cast mottled light and shadows. Karna helped Gabriel Seth to stand up. The warrior's power armor glowed with a sticky black luster in the dim light, like an abyss that swallowed everything.

The air in the meeting hall seemed to be frozen, with only the candlelight swaying silently. Karna's eyes swept over every warrior present. Confusion and bewilderment were hidden under their visors, like a group of children lost in the darkness, waiting for someone to light the way forward for them.

Karna's gaze penetrated the veil of time, as if he saw the scenes of that distant era.

The picture of my kindergarten teacher telling me a story.

"Gabriel Seth, Saint Jeremiah once said that although your guide, Amit, was as savage as a beast, his heart still yearned for hope and beauty. It was because of this that he could be redeemed."

Karna's voice was low and gentle, with a hint of heaviness of reminiscence. His fingers rested lightly on Seth's shoulder armor, as if transmitting some invisible power.

Seth's helmet drooped slightly, his power armor emitting a slight hum, and his thoughts were drawn back to the legend of Amit, the founder of the Flesh Tearers.

The warrior renowned for his savagery during the Great Crusade, the soul redeemed under the teachings of Sanguinius.

"So while he was an excellent warrior, he was also an unparalleled craftsman."

Karna continued, his tone filled with mixed emotions.

Amit, according to the time traveler's evaluation of a person, this is also a top-notch one.

During the Great Crusade, the Empire rarely provided humanitarian aid to enemy prisoners. However, Amit, who was still a ghoul at the time, beat the prisoner to death with a stone in front of the nurse, and then said to the nurse:
"Now that he's dead, you haven't violated your duty. Go!"

Then he ate the corpse in front of the nurse.

Well, should I say it’s good enough that I haven’t attacked my friendly forces yet?
Of course, after being re-educated by the Archangel, Amit gained a complete personality. He knew that corpses should not be eaten except when needed to obtain intelligence, and he regarded eating corpses as a punishment.

However, with the death of the angel, the Flesh Tearers are falling back into the past called the Ghoul at an exaggerated speed.

"I see."

Seth responded in a low voice, his voice muffled through the respirator. He kept recalling the founder of the Flesh Tearers and seemed to understand what Karna meant.

Whatever the Archangel said was true.

Karna's brows furrowed slightly, and a hint of helplessness flashed in his eyes.

"No, you don't understand."

There was a hint of fatigue in his voice, as if he was facing a group of children who had not yet formed a concrete understanding of what humans were and were therefore completely unable to understand.

Are all of you angel offspring tadpoles? When you see your mother, you just swim and can't think for yourself?
Karna sighed inwardly. He had all the analytical skills a time traveler should have and knew the current state of Seth and the angels.

Most of them didn't understand where this sadness came from, but simply empathized with Karna because of his charm.

They have no idea why.

Some Blood Angels even regretted why they had upheld the virtues and teachings of the Blood Angels and not attacked the blood slaves, allowing the Flesh Tearers to take advantage of them.

"."

Arthur stood quietly in the shadows, taking it all in.

His black eyepieces absorbed the faint light in the conference room, blocking out all prying eyes.

The time traveler's judgment was correct. The vast majority of Space Marines, especially the offspring of angels, were children with incomplete personalities - the lack of childhood, the fragmentation of identity, and genetic defects made them forget how to behave as human beings after becoming a warrior.

Arthur then turned his gaze to Dante at the edge of the crowd.

A rare look of distress appeared on the captain's face, and his fingers unconsciously stroked the salt crystal emblem in his hand.

The only normal person.

This reminded Arthur of Dante's story, about the child who was born into a salt farmer's family but grew up surrounded by his father's love. He wanted to bring good changes to his family, but never saw his father again.

The silent knight pondered, recalling examples including that of Yulia.

From Regent Guilliman to ordinary people who are full of shining points, the common difference between them and other people in the universe seems to be that they have a healthy family.

"Now I really feel like I'm taking care of a child."

Arthur sighed and sent the information he had compiled along with the original document to Romulus, signaling his good brother that he could start working overtime. Preschool education materials were already ready to be compiled, and he felt that these angel descendants were only worthy of studying this.

"Gabriel Seth."

The candlelight in the brass council chamber cast flickering shadows on Karna's golden and red armor. His right hand was tightly grasped by Seth, and the warrior's knuckles turned white due to the force, as if he was grasping the final salvation.

Karna frowned slightly and patted Seth's shoulder armor lightly with his left hand. The collision between the shining gold and the ceramic steel made a slightly dull sound.

"You need to study harder."

Karna's voice was gentle but with unquestionable firmness. His eyes penetrated the visor and looked directly into Seth's eyes, trying to find a ray of clarity in the chaos.

"Ah."

Seth responded in a low voice, his voice a little unclear through the mixture of tears and snot in his throat, only his eyes were shining with fanaticism.

Karna exerted a little force with his right hand, trying to pull away, but Seth held on tighter.

He sighed helplessly and patted the warrior's shoulder armor with his left hand again, as if comforting a restless child.

"I will be watching you and I will be watching your changes."

"If you find your own redemption, then you will be able to fly freely; if you are ultimately unable to change, then you should burn on the battlefield against the enemies of humanity."

His voice echoed in the meeting room, and the candlelight swayed slightly with the vibration of the sound waves.

The image of the destroyer unit "Angel's Tears" suddenly emerged in Karna's mind. For a unit like the Flesh Tearers with serious self-destructive tendencies, there seems to be no more suitable choice for the future than this.

"Ah."

Seth nodded again, a hint of barely concealed excitement in his voice.

Karna's eyes narrowed slightly, and a sense of helplessness arose in his heart.

He could see through the most essential things of things, and at this moment, all Seth could think about was going to the battlefield with Karna and finally dying heroically on the battlefield.

To him, this was perfect, this was the way it was.

hiss~
I really have to bring these angel kids back from now on.

Karna thought with a bit of a sinister look in his mind, thinking that he would ask Ramses to mark the souls of these people so that they could be taken out even after they died.

Don't think you can die so easily. Before the Five Virtues and Four Beauties are infused into your brain, you will have plenty of chances to die.

Don’t want to change?
Okay, praise, little red flower, don’t want any of them.

Angel, you don’t want to just watch other angels lose themselves in the praise and red flowers of their elders.

"I'll leave the rest to my partners. Come find me after you've completed your transformation."

After Karna finished speaking, he quickly withdrew his hand. His movements were quick and decisive, as if he was escaping. His steps were steady but swift. His golden and red armor flickered in the candlelight, and in the blink of an eye, he disappeared into the shadows of the meeting hall.

"Ah."

Seth continued to nod blankly, lost in Karna's aura of charm, as if he had not yet recovered from the feeling of being stared at.

bump!
Until a precise blow from behind hit his nerve node, his body stiffened instantly, and then slowly fell to the ground, with a dull sound as his armor collided with the ground.

"Ok?"

Seth's consciousness floated in the darkness, and in a trance, he felt himself being transferred to a bright operating room.

The bright white light made it impossible for him to open his eyes, and everything around him was shrouded in a dazzling halo.

This made him very uncomfortable.
