Seeing this, he suddenly understood. Could this be the origin of the magical power of the square inch of the world?

The heart is as big as the heart, and the world is as big as the heart!

Then he asked, "Disciple, I also want to know what plots the Buddhist sect has made against me? After returning from my journey to the West, I discovered many coincidences in my past experiences."

Patriarch Bodhi nodded gently: "I see, no wonder you have been targeting Mahavairocana repeatedly since you left me last time."

"Master, have you ever conspired with him?"

"You monkey, what kind of person do you think your master is? How could I plot with such a brainless and conceited person like him?"

"Then why, when I was crossing the sea in search of immortals, did I encounter a southeasterly wind that blew me straight to Jambudvīpa... Oh, was that wind blown by Vairocana Tathāgata?"

"Not only that, he also did many things that left loopholes. For example, when you returned and encountered the Demon King of Chaos, and when you went to the Dragon Palace and the Underworld, if you had paid close attention, you would have discovered those loopholes."

Hearing this, Sun Wukong scratched his face.

Indeed, he was only concerned with committing crimes and having fun, and did not pay attention to these things.

"Then why did the Great Sun Tathagata lead me to Fangcun Mountain, and why did Master teach me?"

"Haha, this has to start with the internal struggle within Buddhism. Buddhism was originally ruled by the ancient Buddha Dipankara, and Vairocana Tathagata acted according to his orders.

When you were crossing the sea to search for immortals, my master, Sakyamuni Tathagata, had already taken over the position of the Buddha of Buddhism, but much of the power within Buddhism was still in the hands of the ancient Buddha Dipankara.

For example, the thousand-year plan that determined the prosperity of Buddhism - the journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures.

Therefore, matters related to the journey to the West were initially planned by Vairocana Tathagata under the order of Dipamkara Buddha, and other Buddhist sects had to obey and cooperate.

As for the rest, you should be able to guess it, right?"

Seeing the master's smiling expression, Sun Wukong nodded thoughtfully.

It must be because Vairocana Tathagata made too many mistakes, which led him to break into the Dragon Palace, cause trouble in the underworld, and finally cause a big disturbance in the Heavenly Palace. Although Buddhism gained a lot of benefits from it, the problems it caused were indeed too big.

Of course, the Buddha Tathagata would seize these issues and take the opportunity to take the power of obtaining Buddhist scriptures from the West into his own hands.

Therefore, in his later experiences, he no longer saw the calculations of Mahavairocana Tathagata. Instead, he saw the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara on the side of Tathagata Buddha.

After figuring this out, Sun Wukong still had many doubts in his mind.

He asked solemnly, "I learned in Heaven that the Journey to the West is the will of Heaven and Earth, so all parties in the Three Realms, including Heaven, the Chan Sect, and the Jie Sect, must cooperate.

How do you explain this great trend of heaven and earth?"

Patriarch Bodhi waved his whisk and sighed, "This is a long story, it's related to the struggle between Taoism and demons in the ancient times.

As early as when the dragon, phoenix and unicorn tribes dominated the world, the Taoist traditions in the ancient times were very chaotic. There were two sides, the immortal way and the demon way, as well as various other inheritances.

Finally, the immortal path led by Daozu and the demon path led by Mozu started a great war in the western land.

That battle shattered the earth veins of the western land, and countless spiritual veins were severed, causing the west to be barren to this day.

Later, the Daoist Patriarch attained sainthood and took control of the Heavenly Dao, thus establishing the great trend of Heaven's will to establish Buddhism and repay the karma of the Western world."

"Interesting, interesting." Sun Wukong scratched his hand, but sneered: "Why should the later generations pay for the karma owed by the previous generations?"

There is obviously something wrong here!

Moreover, with the means of the Taoist Ancestor, isn't it easy to restore the veins of the western land?
Patriarch Bodhi waved his whisk and said in an uncertain tone, "It should be related to the revival of the Demonic Path. After the battle between the Dao and the Demonic Path, although the Demonic Ancestor fell, some of his power remained in the West.

After the Conferred God Tribulation, the primitive world was shattered. Although Daozu re-established the Three Realms, the depletion of the spiritual energy between heaven and earth was irreversible.

Coupled with the confusion among people's hearts, the power of the devil has been amplified.

Buddhism needs to lead the human race's luck to the west to strengthen the seal and prevent the revival of the devil.

Because the human race is now the protagonist of this world."

Hearing this, Sun Wukong mocked again: "But these immortals and Buddhas want to use the luck and merits of the human race to accomplish the task of transforming into a god, hoping to achieve immortality themselves.

"Is it possible that they never paid much attention to the revival of the demonic path?"

Patriarch Bodhi was also somewhat helpless and sighed, "Yes, the original intention of obtaining the scriptures was good, but they became selfish in order to achieve eternal life, and then there were all kinds of calculations and attempts to protect others during the journey.

A good thing went astray, so this was a failed journey."

Sun Wukong was puzzled: "Then why does Master still help Tathagata?"

Patriarch Bodhi fell into reminiscence and said in a deep voice, “We did have a disagreement back then.

The Buddha said that the flourishing of Buddhism can save the world.

I believe that whether the world can be saved or not does not lie in Buddhism, but in the human heart.

So, we made a bet about the journey to the West.

I voluntarily entered the cycle of reincarnation in exchange for the opportunity to play chess with him."

When Sun Wukong heard this, his heart moved. His guess was right. Patriarch Bodhi was indeed planning a big game, and it had started before the journey to the West!

He asked, "Master, are you confident of winning this game?"

Patriarch Bodhi shook his head: "It's hard to say, if Tathagata is the only opponent, I can defeat him.

But I still underestimated people's hearts. There are more and more people sitting across from the chessboard, and it won't be a simple win or loss. "

Sun Wukong was even more confused: "Is it possible to draw? Those who want immortality don't have the patience for that."

Patriarch Bodhi smiled and said, "So we have to play a bigger game. That way, those opponents won't be important anymore."

"Oh?" Sun Wukong scratched his hands and asked hurriedly, "What's the bigger chess piece?"

Patriarch Bodhi said sternly, "A battle of destiny!"

Hearing these four words, Sun Wukong was surprised and said, "Heaven's destiny means obeying the orders of heaven. Is there more than one heaven?"

Patriarch Bodhi nodded and said, "Of course, in the eyes of those who want eternal life, your destiny is to start this catastrophe and finally be sacrificed when you become a god.

But here, your destiny is to fight and change the fate of all this!"

Golden light flashed in Sun Wukong's eyes, and he finally understood why he was the key to this catastrophe.

He then asked in a deep voice, "They want eternal life, but why do they want to sacrifice me, Old Sun?"

Patriarch Bodhi said solemnly, "Because the innate primordial energy in your body is a divine object that has existed since the creation of the world. Only by sacrificing you to the Heavenly Dao can they condense the godhood of the Dao Transformation and Deification."

Sun Wukong sneered, "Ha, it seems that the Way of Heaven is not omnipotent."
