The Golden Sea east of the Tet Continent.

Due to its special geographical factors, it receives strong sunlight all year round. Due to excessive heat accumulation, the temperature in this sea area is much higher than other places.

During the day, the sun is high in the sky and the heat is unbearable; at night, the fog is thick and everything is hazy.

On an uninhabited island in this sea area, there is a small port.

This port is used as a transit point for Night Watch ships, allowing them to resupply and for crews to rest. In the past, most of the time, it was the [Chamber of Commerce]'s transport ships that docked here for supplies.

As the war on the Lebian continent progressed, this place gradually developed into a small outpost of the Night Watch on the ocean, responsible for patrolling the surrounding waters and occasionally carrying out emergency rescue operations.

On the island, Asila pushed open the creaking iron gate. A rainbow of colors suddenly lit up in the morning mist.

The vampire children following behind her couldn't help but hold their breath - in the dock covered with vines, a three-decker sailboat was basking in the morning light, as if stretching its body.

Its masts shimmered like crystal coral, and its mithril-wrapped keel shone in the mist like liquid moonlight.

"It's so beautiful, it's like a work of art." There was a gleam in the eyes of the elf among children, Pokanasa. She saw the long-lost style of her hometown on this ship.

"Be careful with the steps." Asila reached out and held Ina's shoulder.

"I'm not a child anymore." Ina was a little dissatisfied with Asira's excessive care. After all, it made her feel a little embarrassed in front of her friends.

She walked across the moss-covered pier in her leather boots. The luminous shellfish clinging to the wooden stakes, sensing movement, immediately retreated into their shells.

Adam sniffed. The air was filled with the scent of sea salt mixed with some burning spices, like a pine forest after a thunderstorm.

At the bow was a mermaid statue with its eyes closed. When it sensed the night watchman approaching, its coral eyelashes suddenly trembled.

The mithril scales lit up layer by layer, starting from the tail, until the light finally converged into the crystal ball held in the palm of her hand. "This is the navigator, Elsa. She is also the name of this ship."

The mermaid statue seemed to come alive, slowly floating in the air and landing in front of Asira.

Asira tapped the mermaid's wrist gently, and a brilliant sphere of stardust swirled within. "She memorizes the tides of 3,721 routes. She's also the puppet captain of this ship. Puppet... you know what that means? Never mind. You'll understand later."

The children following behind were originally preparing to listen to the story, but these words dampened their interest and they couldn't help but curl their lips.

Everyone followed Asira onto the deck, and golden lines suddenly appeared on the seemingly ordinary wooden sides of the ship.

The accompanying wizard tapped lightly on the main mast with the metal hairpin in his hand. A metal column wrapped in emerald crystals slowly rose from the deck, with a pale flame that never went out suspended at the top.

"Night Fire." The mage opened his palm, and a translucent port illusion immediately emerged from the flames. "For the destination and some navigation requirements, you can directly transmit your memories to her, and she will automatically analyze them. This is a new technology that arrived from the Leviathan continent a year ago."

At this moment, a swarm of alchemical dragonflies suddenly poured out from the bottom of the observation tower like a tide. Their wings were made of overlapping ice crystals, and the amethysts inlaid on their abdomens flickered with the rhythm of their wingbeats.

"Wow!" The children were instantly attracted by these beautiful dragonflies.

"Each one is a mobile sentry." Asira blew a whistle, and the leading one immediately stopped at her shoulder, and the panoramic view of the dock behind the children flashed in its compound eyes.

As the children approached the side of the ship, the water suddenly boiled. Five metallic dorsal fins sliced through the waves, and the shark-like alchemical creation bared its fangs—a terrifying mouth composed of hundreds of spinning blades. "These are Deep Divers Three through Seven." The halfling assassin tossed a piece of glowing ore, and the nearest sharks chomped it mid-air, sending dark red energy surging through the hydraulic pipes toward the hull. "Their tail fins are engraved with wave-breaking runes."

This professional explanation left the children confused and completely bewildered.

The halfling smacked his lips. Well, this was a rare opportunity to show off his knowledge.

The roar of gears emanated from the second deck. A hexagonal crystal turret slowly rose from its hidden compartment, the copper vines wrapped around the barrel absorbing static electricity from the clouds.

"Thundercloud Smasher." The dwarf uncle who had climbed onto the turret at some point screamed excitedly, his voice full of joy.

He placed his palm on the authentication rune, and a blue-white ball of light immediately condensed from the muzzle. "Last time we blasted away the hurricane, we caught lightning eels in the rainbow. They're electric and taste numbing. You should definitely try them if you get a chance."

"You are the only one who can eat it." Asila couldn't help but complain.

The oak door to the captain's cabin opened automatically. The door handle was a bronze raven. The raven seemed to shake its head, as if making some kind of recognition.

The moment everyone stepped into the room, the nautical chart on the wall suddenly "came alive" and various elements on the map began to surge, as if being analyzed and marked.

"This is one of the rare alchemical products of the Great Library. It is said to be made in imitation of the map. It can sense undercurrents thirty miles away." The wizard in the team explained. Obviously, this was not said to the children, but to the others in the group.

When Tokk touched the porthole, ripples appeared on the glass surface, revealing the shadowy figures of sailors working in the lower cabin. The forging tables they operated erupted with cyan flames, forging magic crystals into new dragonfly wings.

"The entire ship is a vibrant alchemical matrix. Those scenes below are all illusions. I don't know which alchemist created them. He probably thought it would be more interesting this way."

"But this is indeed very interesting." The dwarf uncle couldn't help but comment.

The wizard rolled his eyes. He seriously suspected that it was an alchemist among the dwarves who did this.

Asira opened the moonstone-encrusted mini-fridge and pulled out two large bottles of bubbling purple drinks. "The keel absorbs the ocean's magic, the sails capture the sun and starlight, and we—come, have a drink."

However, a deafening roar interrupted her words. Through the crystal dome, the mithril patterns on the sails had turned a fiery gold. Countless particles of light ripped from the air, flowing along the masts into the furnace below. The entire ship began to tremble softly, and the anchor chain purred like a harp as it automatically retracted.

"Hurry up!"

The team members hugged the children closest to them. Ina was pressed down on the cushioned observation chair by Asila.

Through the crystal prisms on all sides, you can see the twelve stacked sails swelling up at the same time, and the sunlight refracted in the transparent material, creating light and shadows as gorgeous as a rainbow waterfall.

The stern of the ship emitted a trail of magic and light dust, and the outline of the dock was twisted into a vortex in the turbulent magical power.

When the feeling of weightlessness suddenly hit, the alchemy ship was speeding across the ocean, dragging a spiral light track, and the cut waves formed a wall of water splashing to both sides.

The alchemical sharks leaped out of the sea, their blade-like dorsal fins cutting through the milky white waves.

The mermaid figurehead is cruising in the front, as if guiding the direction of progress.

This dreamlike scene was full of fantasy to the children before them. Compared to it, the awful vampire pirate ship was like a cesspool. (End of this chapter)
