Warhammer: Don't Call Me the God of All Machines

Chapter 278: The Arrival of Sanguinius

Chapter 278: The Arrival of Sanguinius

The conversation with Curze lasted only a few minutes, before Guilliman and the Lion returned to the surface.

Conrad was a prisoner, and loneliness was his punishment.

Although Midnight Haunter's condition has improved, Guilliman will not relax his vigilance against Konrad because of this sign. No one knows whether this is a deliberate gesture by him to escape.

They had all suffered from Conrad's cunning before, and there was no way they would let him get out of control again.

"I think what Curze said is still of some reference value, my brother." Guilliman said to Lion.

"He said that Vulkan would die and rise again, and that he would remain at the Emperor's side and be our father's last line of defense."

"This means that he will be resurrected, although we don't know how."

Ryan had a look of disdain on his face. He didn't believe anything that came out of Conrad's mouth. Those were the most vicious lies, disguised poison.

Only a naive fool like Guilliman would be so foolish as to actually think about and believe his nonsense.

"Robot, I am the most loyal son of the Emperor. If he really has any ultimate response, it must be done by me. I will accompany the Emperor until the final moment."

"I am Lion the Lion, the Lord of the First Legion, the backup for all crises, and the most loyal heir."

Ryan said every word very seriously.

"I have no intention of arguing with you about this. After all, Russ also said so. I suggest that you two fight each other if you meet." Guilliman made a little joke to liven up the atmosphere and then said.

"I intend to return Vulkan's body to his descendants. I will tell them the whole story. Even if they resent me, I will bear it together."

Guilliman felt a trace of regret in his heart. If he had told Captain Zaytos that Vulkan had fallen into madness, perhaps the situation would have been different.

Even though their father died in the end, at least he came to his sons in a living form.

His brother is now lying in the golden coffin, and no one knows whether Vulkan will wake up again.

……

The sad atmosphere surrounding Mabragra did not last long. In fact, most people did not know what had happened. Even the servants in Guilliman's palace were just wondering why the Primarch was in a low mood.

Guilliman summoned the Salamanders and informed their commander Captain Zaytos of Vulkan's assassination, including how Vulkan had fallen from the atmosphere and how they had imprisoned him after discovering that he had gone mad.

The whole story was told.

He thought that the captain of the Salamanders would pour out a storm of anger on him, but Zaytos said nothing and did nothing. He just led the Salamanders warriors to guard Vulkan's golden coffin.

Guilliman would rather the Salamanders get angry.

The arrival of new good news diluted the sadness. The space outpost in the Macragge system received a signal from the warp. After translation and decryption, the XIII Legion discovered that the sender of the signal was another Primarch.

The Archangel Sanguinius, Primarch of the IX Legion.

It was the light of Pharos that continued to attract those lost people, and finally Guilliman waited for another loyal brother.

As the shattered Blood Angels fleet neared Macragge, Guilliman personally arrived at Mandeville Point aboard his flagship, the Honor of Macragge, to greet his kin. As a Warp rift opened, the battle-hardened Blood Angels fleet emerged from the Warp tunnel, a chaotic turbulence of energy emanating from the aetheric torrents behind them. The shrill screams of an unknown being pursued the Blood Angels until they were stopped by the veil of reality.

Those malicious beings in the Warp watched Sanguinius's departure in frustration. They screamed and raged, but they were helpless. Without rituals and sacrifices, they could not break through the barriers of reality.

A holographic projection of Sanguinius appeared on the bridge of Macragge's Glory, with Guilliman, wearing a tender green laurel wreath on his head, opening his arms to his brother.

The Lion King stood aside, also looking at Sanguinius with a smile on his face.

Ryan was also very happy.

However, unlike what Guilliman imagined, Lion was more happy because the Five Hundred Worlds had gained a different will. He understood that he could not control Guilliman with his own strength alone, and with the addition of Sanguinius, the situation would be completely different.

The presence of him and Sanguinius would definitely be a stronger deterrent to Guilliman and prevent him from having any dangerous thoughts.

Although the Lion is not interested in politics, he also understands that usually a system is most stable when it has three entities.

Although Guilliman has always behaved like an ambitious man who is dedicated to building his own small empire, Lion's observations over this period of time have vaguely made him feel that this view is somewhat ridiculous.

The Lord of the Limits possesses the largest army and the greatest potential for war, but the greatest ambition he has ever shown is to guard his own little piece of land.

Guilliman's innocence was incredible to him, and this extreme contrast and contradiction also made the lion extremely uncomfortable.

If Guilliman really had evil intentions, then he would naturally be able to carry out the extermination mission, but in fact he was harmless, which made him feel powerless.

"My brother, Sanguinius, you would only appear to me in the most optimistic dreams. I am glad that you can arrive safely in Macragge. A grand meeting ceremony will be held in Macragge's banquet hall."

After a brief exchange of greetings from a distance, the Blood Angels, like the Dark Angels in the past, also needed to undergo a thorough inspection and scan, and were not allowed to sail their warships into Macragge's orbit.

The Archangel said that this was of no concern. He even praised Guilliman's caution and prudence, and actively cooperated with the inspection of his fleet.

"My brother Guilliman seems to have done something extraordinary."

Exuding a holy aura, the majestic Sanguinius stood on the bridge. His eyes, more beautiful than gems, could see very far and capture details far beyond the physical limits.

The battle planet [Amatra] wandering in the Macragge galaxy, the overwhelming cruiser fleets and destroyer fleets, the densely packed star fortresses and void orbital platforms, and the incomparably huge artificial metal celestial body.

Sanguinius's powerful psychic powers allowed him to sense that something was being built there, far more threatening than his flagship, the Red Tear.

In addition to his graceful demeanor, the Archangel was also shrouded in an aura of sadness and decadence. He was horrified by everything that happened in the Signus galaxy. His old beliefs were shattered, and the betrayal of his former best friend Horus left him exhausted.

Riding on the Blood Angels' spaceship, Sanguinius, under the protection of his Blood Guards, arrived at the banquet hall prepared for him by Guilliman.

The descendants of the Archangels were dressed in golden finely crafted power armor, holding the 9th Legion's iconic power weapon, the Crimson Blade, in their hands. They had Angras bolters installed on their wrists, and each of them wore a terrifying death mask on their face.

The Sanguinary Guards all have jet packs with white wings on their backs, allowing them to fight in three dimensions during war, while their leader, Azkaelon, the commander of the Sanguinary Guards, carefully guards their Primarch.

Sanguinius, dressed in golden armor and a fur cape, was the focus of everyone's attention. His incomparable noble face was incomparable even to Guilliman or Lion. His long golden hair with divinity was draped behind him and scattered among the huge wings.

In this banquet hall, the three Primarchs Sanguinius, Guilliman and Lion met again. Both sides had experienced too many misfortunes and hardships before they finally had today's meeting.
