This is what an immortal should be like

Chapter 25: Repairing and Creating, Resuming the Path to Immortality

Chapter 25: Repairing and Creating, Resuming the Path to Immortality

After opening his eyes, Zhuang Lin just glanced at Liu Hongyu, then stood up with the help of the table, and said goodbye to Mr. Mu and others beside him.

"Zhuang is not very good at drinking, and I have been overworked recently. I am a little tired, so I will take my leave and go back!"

"Ah? Master Zhuang is leaving?" "Well, that's good. Mr. Zi'an is indeed tired!"

Mr. Mu thought back to the past two days. Everyone was counting on Master Zhuang to find a solution, and he had indeed worked hard.

Liu Hongyu immediately stood up as well.

"Master, can I help you back home?"

Zhuang Lin smiled and waved his hand.

"No need. I'm not too sick to walk. You should rest early and don't drink too much!"

Liu Hongyu agreed immediately.

"It's Master!"

After saying this, Zhuang Lin bowed to the nearby table, and then left the threshing ground amid the farewells of the people nearby.

The aroma of wine and meat faded away, and the light of the bonfire flickered. Zhuang Lin walked towards the school along the path, facing the breeze in the valley. The dark night with no stars or moon posed no obstacle to his progress.

Now I am still an empty shell, and I need to awaken my spirit as soon as possible.

After Zhuang Lin left, Liu Hongyu quickly said goodbye to the people around him, saying that he had to study hard tomorrow and that he wanted to go back and rest.

After Liu Hongyu left, Mr. Mu and the two neighbors around the Mu family also left quickly.
Near the bonfire in the threshing ground, Tang Bin glanced at the people who had left, especially at the direction of the school, and then spoke to the people around the bonfire.

"Actually, there are more mysterious things than just monsters this time."

"What else?" "Yeah, what else?"

Those who were originally looking at the direction where Young Master Liu left were once again attracted by Tang Bin, and saw that the latter's expression seemed more serious under the firelight.

"In fact, I feel that Master Zhuang is also quite magical. Not only does he always lead us to good fortune and avoid danger, but you don't know that, that would be by the river..."

The topic around the campfire became even more outrageous, but this time there was not much actual basis, and it was mostly based on Tang Bin's subjective inclination.

Even Tang Bin somewhat deified Zhuang Lin. In his description, Liu Hongyu, such a troublemaker, became well-behaved and obedient when he saw the Master. His admiration for Zhuang Zi'an was evident in his words!
On the periphery, even those in the valley who didn't hear Tang Bin bragging and talking couldn't help but sigh about what had happened during this period while eating, drinking and talking.

It is a very mysterious thing that the people in the valley can travel through time and space to the Jin Dynasty and then come back safe and sound.

So, does this happen, does it really have something to do with Young Master Liu?

At least quite a number of people can't help but think so!
-
A moment later, Zhuang Lin was sitting cross-legged on the bed in the school room.

Although he was in a dark room, Zhuang Lin's mind was bright and everything around him was very clear in his eyes, and he could see things in the darkness.

If you want to continue moving forward, one thing you need to do is to quickly make up for your own shortcomings and turn this empty shell into a real person.

Secondly, you need luck, you need to find new opportunities and understand the next step.

In fact, just as Zhuang Lin had said to Liu Hongyu before, the bamboo slips of "Asking for the Secret of the Way" were not written by an immortal, at least not by a complete immortal, because from Zhuang Lin's current perspective, the aura on them was impure.

The content on the bamboo slips is definitely not the entire "Asking for the Way". Zhuang Lin calculated that it was only one-third of the entire text at most. It was not easy to arouse the response of the lingering sound of the Dharma lineage.

This lineage of Dharma is indeed on the verge of extinction, and there is not much information left about its practice.

The so-called Dharma lineage, in a sense, is the mark left between heaven and earth by our ancestors who have walked this path when they were in the same or similar realm.

The more people in the same lineage have experienced this period or realm, the more times they resonate with heaven and earth, and the deeper the imprint of the Dharma lineage will be, thus becoming an important support for the lineage's practice.

Therefore, in the ancient immortal sects, even if many fellow cultivators practiced the same immortal scripture, those with truly outstanding talents would often have differences, large or small, from some of their fellow disciples when practicing.

This is because they rely on the resonance of the Dharma lineage between heaven and earth to feel the path of their ancestors and understand the subsequent path that is suitable for themselves.

Of course, in addition to this purest explanation, for a sect, the Dharma lineage also includes a lot of content, such as the integrity of the inheritance of skills, the explicit and implicit guardians in the sect, and various things that can consolidate the foundation, which together form a collective term.

Zhuang Lin's situation was much more cruel. Naturally, there was no added value for his descendants. He didn't even have any immortal scriptures to refer to for cultivation, and even his pure Dharma lineage was incomplete.

But Zhuang Lin was also lucky, as the remaining Dharma lineage gave him all the last rays of light.

At that moment, the Dharma lineage seemed to have disappeared between heaven and earth, but since Zhuang Lin decided to embark on the path of immortality, it can also be said that the Dharma lineage has truly been reborn to some extent.

However, although Zhuang Lin now has no immortal scriptures to refer to, he is at the level of a true person, so the first few steps are no longer difficult for him.

"If there is no immortal canon, then I will create one myself!"

Zhuang Lin murmured.

At least I can do the first three steps!

Zhuang Lin's mutterings were not boasting, but full of confidence. Standing at the level of a real person, the road ahead was clear and visible. Without the immortal scriptures, he could just create and practice as he went along!

The first step is to awaken the spirit!

Zhuang Lin had even experienced this step before.

At this moment, Zhuang Lin's heart calmed down again. He closed his eyes slightly and focused his mind. The spiritual energy that had always been with him was now even clearer in his eyes.

In the Hidden Immortal Valley, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth seemed to become active. Inside and outside the valley, wisps of spiritual energy flowed towards where Zhuang Lin was.

Zhuang Lin even had a kind of illusion, as if spiritual energy was jubilating, joyful, or perhaps a rhythm of the Dao between heaven and earth.
Woohoo woohoo
An invisible wind filled the valley, and like a converging stream, it rushed towards the school, ignoring the doors and windows as if nothing, and rushed towards Zhuang Lin's body.

Initially, the spiritual energy was absorbed into Zhuang Lin's body through his mouth and nose, then it seeped in little by little through his pores, and then gradually gathered together to open up the acupoints.
Zhuang Lin felt as if he was being wrapped in warm water.

Fur, flesh, meridians, internal organs, bones. Everything in the body is absorbing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, undergoing repeated cleansing.
The filth accumulated in the body over the years was being impacted, and some of the chronic diseases, whether hidden or obvious, also showed a numb and itchy state.
“Ohhhhhh~~~”

A loud rooster crowed, and Zhuang Lin woke up from his practice.

After exhaling a breath of foul air, Zhuang Lin felt an unprecedented sense of relief. He got off the bed, walked to the door and opened it.

The early spring wind no longer seemed cold, and it felt very comfortable blowing on Zhuang Lin's face. He suddenly felt a little itchy on his head, and when he scratched his temples with his hands, he seemed to touch something brittle.

Amidst subtle noises, something seemed to break all over Zhuang Lin's body.
Then a burst of black ash spread out from Zhuang Lin's body. Some of it fell from his scalp, and some came out from the cuffs of his clothes, and was blown everywhere by the wind.

"Cough cough."

Zhuang Lin coughed lightly a few times while swinging his arms, and he probably understood what this was.

The roosters had just crowed and there was only a white line on the horizon. Zhuang Lin hurriedly brought out the bathtub and fetched buckets of cold water from the large water tank in the school to fill the bathtub.

Afterwards, Zhuang Lin took off his clothes in the house and directly soaked in the cold bathtub to scrub himself.

In the past, taking a cold shower at this time of year would definitely be icy and irritating.

But for Zhuang Lin today, he could still feel the cold water, but it was not uncomfortable. Instead, he felt refreshed.

When Zhuang Lin was fully dressed again and stood in the breeze at the doorway again, he felt as if his body and mind had undergone another round of purification, and during this process, the spiritual energy continued to accompany him.
To be honest, even Zhuang Lin is a little excited now, after all, he has truly embarked on the path of cultivating immortals!
The progress of practicing in one night is not that great, but nothing can be accomplished overnight. It is a blessing to achieve the status of a real person.

After sighing to himself for a while, Zhuang Lin went back to the room to tidy up the bathtub and other things, and then quickly sat down at the desk.

The four treasures of the study were already laid out. While grinding ink, Zhuang Lin looked at the various items on the table and in the bookcase next to it.

In the end, Zhuang Lin did not choose white paper, but spread out a scroll of brocade on the table. After all, it was an immortal book and his own hard work, so he should use something better.

After everything was ready, Zhuang Lin picked up his pen and put ink on it. After pondering his thoughts for a while, he began to write.

First, Zhuang Lin supplemented "Wen Dao Jue" based on his own experience.

Although it can no longer activate the Dharma veins, "Asking for the Way" can still be regarded as a method of knocking on the door in Zhuang Lin's mind.

Of course, this is after Zhuang Lin made up for it, and it is difficult to get a full picture of the original secret now.

No matter whether he could meet other fellow cultivators in the future, no matter how many different kinds of cultivators he could meet, and no matter how they acted, for Zhuang Lin, those with truly evil intentions were not worthy of joining!

At the same time, "Wen Dao Jue" can also help the younger generation of practitioners to "awaken their spirits" to a certain extent.

Moreover, the inability to activate the Dharma meridians is only temporary. Once Zhuang Lin breaks through the path ahead, "footprints" will be left wherever he steps!
After completing the "Asking for the Way", Zhuang Lin changed to another scroll of brocade book and started writing again. This part is the real "One Step to Awakening the Spirit".

The so-called awakening of the spirit is the process of opening up one's own spirituality, feeling the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, trying to attract and breathe the spiritual energy into oneself, and slowly tempering oneself.

This is the first step on the path to immortality.
Zhuang Lin paused for a moment with the brush in his hand, then continued writing while thinking.

Although it is just one step, if you break it down into three steps, awakening the spirit is actually three steps: the first is to illuminate the Qi, the second is to open the acupoints, and the third is to penetrate the meridians.
The outer spirit is more yin, and the inner breath is like fire. The process of accommodating the outer spirit and then using the inner breath to gradually enhance and purify one's own yang energy.
Zhuang Lin wrote a scroll of brocade book in great style, clearly describing the spiritual awakening stage that he had not yet fully passed!
Notes have also been added, and it would be better to use some medical works as a supplement.

Taking advantage of his strong inspiration and understanding, Zhuang Lin took another blank brocade book and continued to write the second step.

The second step is to break the delusion!

Zhuang Lin thought for a while, considering how to start writing.

This is a hurdle of the heart. In fact, Zhuang Lin had already passed this hurdle when he asked about it yesterday, but he knew that his situation must be an extremely rare case.

How should ordinary practitioners who come later in their practice overcome this hurdle?

Forget it, why bother with so much?

How to pass it? Everyone’s heart is different, and the presentation is different. Maybe there will be other ways in the future, but for now, I just need to write down the situation of this level!

Thinking of this, Zhuang Lin stopped hesitating and continued writing smoothly.

After the meridians are connected, evil thoughts, desires and illusions will disturb the heart and trouble the heart of Tao. This is the illusion in the elixir and the calamity in the heart.
After passing this level, the mind will be clear and the artistic conception in the heart can be generated. With sufficient previous foundation, the pure yang furnace fire can be ignited at any time. It is no longer an empty burning of the heart fire, but the alchemy furnace appears in the artistic conception!
This part is considered a rather mysterious step for cultivators who have embarked on the path to immortality, and even Zhuang Lin cannot express it clearly at this moment.

Or perhaps this step is inherently difficult to fully express, and writing too much might mislead those who come after him, so Zhuang Lin did not say much, perhaps he could write more after he has taken this step.

Having written this, Zhuang Lin's mind moved, and he added: Only when one has a righteous heart can one not be afraid of evil spirits!
After finishing the second step, Zhuang Lin glanced and saw that there was no brocade book on the table. He thought for a moment and pulled over a blank bamboo slip.

Zhuang Lin learned to make these bamboo slips for fun when he went to observe the bamboo art of the masters in the valley. He didn't expect to use them today.

After all, paper is fragile at this stage, and bamboo slips are still stronger!
Zhuang Lin did not use the classical method of carving with a knife, but continued writing directly with a pen.

After passing the stage of breaking delusion, the mind becomes stronger while the body continues to be tempered, gradually creating the conditions for further improvement.

It can connect the stars and the moon, and can also accommodate the sun, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, and the essence of the spiritual rhythm to my body.
This is it, heaven and earth have the same power!
The furnace fire is blazing, the essence is endless, the whole body is refined, inside and out, the universe is refined, and it will also run through the long cultivation life of the cultivator, which is the result of years and months, not a stage of one realm.
When one has achieved great success in cultivation, his bones will be like jade, his body like amber, and his blood like translucent fat!
At this stage, the physical body is not critical, but the spirit and soul have grown stronger in the corresponding training process, and the state of mind has gradually met the requirements. Then, one can try to recall the two souls of heaven and earth and enter the realm of true person.
Sometimes he wrote continuously, sometimes he needed to think for a while, and sometimes Zhuang Lin would pick up his pen and walk back and forth in the room.

By daybreak, Zhuang Lin had finally finished writing everything he wanted to write and could write at the moment, but he could only write until he reached the True Person Realm.

And writing these contents unknowingly consumed a lot of Zhuang Lin's mental energy, and the little spiritual energy he had cultivated was also used up.

So much so that when Zhuang Lin looked at these scrolls and bamboo slips, he could see a layer of spiritual light that was invisible to the naked eye.

Compared to this, the bamboo slips containing the fragments of "Asking for the Way" can indeed not be considered as being written by a true immortal.

At this moment, Zhuang Lin has stopped writing and is thinking about the future.

Zhuang Lin himself didn't know the road ahead.

What Zhuang Lin knew now was that reaching the realm of True Person meant entering the so-called realm of cultivation, or the realm of Hezhen Dao.

The Real Person Realm is the first step to the Real Dao Realm. The second step seems to be related to the Primordial Spirit. I have no idea about the third step yet.
Judging from the current situation, the remaining resonant information of this remaining Dharma lineage may not be able to support Zhuang Lin to reach the second step of the Hezhen Dao realm.

He stood up and left the desk, and then the door was reopened. Zhuang Lin held the pen with his hands behind his back, and in his sight, the morning light of the morning glow filled the Hidden Immortal Valley.

After a moment, Zhuang Lin looked back at the desk. Although he had written a lot and thought it was very detailed, for someone who wanted to embark on the path of immortal cultivation, taking the first step was still not an easy thing.

To awaken the spirit, not everyone can feel the spirit!
If there were no immortals to guide the way, it would be so difficult for all living beings to practice!
