Chapter 63 Cannibalism
While chatting on the street, we heard a commotion in the distance.

"It's the Royal Court's hunters hunting down the murderer." Bradel chuckled as he gazed into the distance. "Oh, it's actually 'cannibalism'."

As he said this, a greedy and nostalgic look flashed across Bradl's face.

Hermione glanced at Him with a hint of surprise.

At this moment, the heavily armored Royal Court Hunters also noticed Bradel watching from the sidelines. They quickly brought the prisoners to Bradel and saluted him: "Praise the glory."

Facing the polite hunter captain, Bradl praised him, "I recognize you, 'Light Killer' Milgungen. Even my father has praised your bravery."

Light Killer... Hermione's heart skipped a beat. The title of the Hunter Captain was truly impressive.

While thinking this, Hermione got a closer look at the escorted giant.

He had an ordinary body shape and not much spirituality, unlike a high-sequence Beyonder. His eyes were dull and lifeless.

While Hermione was observing the other person's mental state, she felt a tingling sensation on her back.

It's the induction of that spiritual imprint...

Hermione even sensed from the clear feedback that this criminal had eaten a human being not long ago.

They were probably humans conscripted from other tribes for this celebration.

Hermione's expression did not change.

"This kind of guy actually devoured his own people?" Bradel grinned and looked at the prisoner who looked thin among the giants. He glanced at the "Light Killer" Milgungen with a puzzled look and asked, with a hint of disbelief.

"Yes, Your Highness," Milgungen reported, his helmet-less head lowered. "Only when a man without divine power like this commits a serious crime will he use us, the Royal Court's hunters, to attack him."

Cannibalism is a serious crime personally decreed by the Giant King. The criminals are arrested by the royal hunters, which is similar to parading them through the streets.

Bradl tutted his words and asked again, "Is he out of control? Who did he eat? To do such a thing before the celebration."

Bradl's attitude at this moment was very subtle, and Hermione, who controlled the power of the mind field, actually felt a hint of envy from it.

Lightkiller and the other hunters were oblivious to this emotion and replied respectfully, "This guy showed no signs of losing control. He attacked his fellow workers while preparing for the celebration. Because they were in a secluded area, by the time they were discovered, he had already devoured the giant, leaving only half of his body."

"Oh? It's actually a serious criminal who eats his own kind?" Bradel's tone became a little excited. Even at this moment, he seemed to intend to keep this criminal by his side.

Hermione could sense that Bradl was in a state of uncontrollable excitement.

However, this sentiment came to an abrupt end and soon faded away.

But from the outside, there was no sign of Bradl's strange mood changes.

At this point, Bradl's tone turned dull. He waved at the pursuers and said, "Take your prisoners and get out of my sight."

The royal court hunters were surprised at the change in His Highness's attitude, but they did not dare to ask any more questions. They followed Bradl's orders and left with the prisoner.

As Bradl's emotions shifted, Hermione sensed a familiar glimpse of the power of twilight, something she had felt before in the ocean of the collective subconscious. It was the twilight authority of the Giant King that dampened Bradl's uncontrollable excitement.

It was actually necessary to use authority to control such emotions. Hermione glanced at Bradl and guessed that this "God of Glory" might have devoured his own kind.

They are even keen on devouring their own kind.

"Boring." Bradl muttered in a depressed mood, his eyes suddenly fell on Hermione, and then shifted to Selina beside Hermione.

Hermione frowned and stood in front of Selina.

"It's boring." Bradl muttered again, and without saying anything to Hermione, he left here with a listless look and without looking back.

After the giant figure left, Selina, shocked by the malice he had just revealed, said in a trembling voice, "Just now...did he want to kill us?"

Hermione shook her head and sighed, "They want to eat you. So, never act alone in this Giant King's Court."

Hearing Hermione's straightforward explanation in human language, Selina glanced around at the giants in a daze. At this moment, she controlled the fear that was intimidating her heart, but her voice still trembled slightly:
"They clearly look quite similar to us... I used to think these were just rumors, and I believed they were just rumors..."

Knowing that Selina was thinking of her brother again, Hermione sighed:
"It was the forced suppression by the giant gods that caused the giants to lose a considerable degree of their wildness. For example, cannibalism was common among giants in the early days, but it is now a serious crime among the giants."

Standing on this bustling Giant Street corner, Hermione's expression was slightly cold. "With each generation, they are gradually regaining their rationality. But this process is too long and cruel for us humans."

Since both of them spoke quietly in human language, they did not cause any disturbance.

But the loud commotion gradually spread from a distance.

Hermione saw the "Light Killer" Milgungen, who had already gone far away, running towards her, holding a giant sword like the morning light in his hand, and directly chopped off the head of a giant.

The gushing blood spilled all over the ground.

In front of the headless corpse, a giant who was being eaten and injured leaned towards other giants around him in fear.

But in the next second, the injured giant suddenly bit the face of the giant closest to him with his teeth!
The movements of this giant seemed extremely slow in the eyes of the Light Killer.

"Light Killer" knocked out the victim who suddenly attacked other giants at a faster speed, but he looked confused, not knowing why the injured person would attack others.

Then the Court Hunters carried away the bodies and the knocked-out giants who had turned from victims to attackers.

"Are they killing each other?" Selina murmured to what was happening before her eyes, but a hint of pleasure emerged on her face.

Hermione ruffled the girl's hair, but didn't use her tampering ability to erase Selina's negative emotions. "It seems there's some trouble with the giants."

Could it be the dragons' trick?
But Hermione did not sense any unusual movement in the ocean of subconsciousness, especially since this ocean of the giants' collective subconsciousness was still shrouded in the power of dusk.

Hermione suddenly remembered those unusual islands of the mind...

A guess popped into her mind:

Is it a "mistake"?
