Chapter 141: Sitting and Forgetting and Contemplating the Alchemy Sutra
"Clouds appear above Mount Xiyue, and snow accumulates in Taiqing. The sky is dark blue, and the distance is a hundred miles to the azure sky."
In October, Huashan is covered with colorful autumn colors. The pines and cypresses on the Jade Maiden Peak are still green, and the clear sky and clouds show its tranquility and elegance.
The Zuowang Temple on the Yunu Peak has been built for two days. The temple master Zhao Zhijing specially chose today, an auspicious day when everything is suitable and there are no taboos, to hold a celebration ceremony.
At this time, many guests should have been invited to witness the ceremony. After all, considering Zhao Zhijing's current prestige in the martial arts world, Zuowang Temple was not just a Taoist temple, nor was it just a branch of the Quanzhen Sect.
But in the end, they chose to keep a low profile, and only Zhao Zhijing and his disciples conducted the inauguration ceremony of the Taoist temple.
In the early morning, the altar had been set up, and the masters and disciples were dressed neatly in their robes, and were concentrating quietly.
The atmosphere in the Sanqing Hall was solemn and dignified, with incense and candles lit. Zhao Zhijing led his disciples to worship the statues of the Sanqing ancestors first, and then the statue of the founder of the religion.
Afterwards, everyone sat cross-legged and recited together "The True Scripture of the Most High Lingbao Tianzun for Averting Disasters and Relieving Misfortunes".
After all the ceremonies were completed and bells and drums rang in the temple, Zhao Zhijing held an ink pen and wrote the first stroke on the Danlu of Zuowang Temple.
"To be fully integrated with the three teachings, to know the mind and see the nature, to be the only one who has the complete truth, is the complete truth."
"On the ninth day of the tenth month of the first year of Chunyou in the Song Dynasty, Zhao Zhijing, a third-generation disciple of the Quanzhen Sect, and his fellow disciples built the Zuowang Temple on the Jade Maiden Peak of Mount Huashan."
"I have now compiled the Zuowang Guandan Lu, recording the names and virtues of 19 masters and disciples as a legacy."
Master: The third-generation disciple of Quanzhen Sect, Zhao Zhijing.
Disciples: The fourth generation of Quanzhen Sect disciples: the eldest disciple Xuan Qingzi, the second disciple Lu Qingdu, the third disciple Liu Qingxing, the fourth disciple Ye Qingquan, the fifth disciple Li Qingfeng, the sixth disciple Zhang Qingzhi, the seventh disciple Feng Qingyang, the eighth disciple Xu Qinghao, the ninth disciple Wu Qingming, the tenth disciple Jiang Qingxuan, the eleventh disciple Cao Qinghua, the twelfth disciple Song Qingyun, the thirteenth disciple Tang Qingshan, the fourteenth disciple Pan Qingwei, the fifteenth disciple Xue Qingtian, the sixteenth disciple Yang Qingmu, the seventeenth disciple Yelu Qi, and the eighteenth disciple Guan Maner.
After writing down the names of all the disciples, Zhao Zhijing breathed a sigh of relief, then respectfully worshipped the statue of the Three Pure Ones, praying for blessings and health.
"All disciples, listen to my orders. Each of you take your sword and follow me to the terrace to practice swordplay."
"Yes, Master!"
Before long, seventeen disciples gathered on the platform. Yang Guo and Guan Man'er stood at the end, waiting for their master to speak.
Zhao Zhijing faced the cliff. The morning sun was rising slowly, covering the distant mountains with a golden veil, with peaks and ridges and surging sea of clouds.
"It is like floating in the air, isolated from the world, and ascending to heaven."
Every time Zhao Zhijing saw this fairyland-like scene, he would be moved. It had been half a year since he left Chongyang Palace in Zhongnan Mountain, and the Zuowang Temple was finally completed.
It can be considered as a trace he left in this world.
Perhaps when the day of separation comes, it would be a good choice to ascend to heaven here.
Zhao Zhijing took a deep breath, collected his thoughts, and then drew out the sword in his hand.
The first Quanzhen sword was inserted into the boulder at the mountain gate, and the second sword made by disciple Xu Qinghao was broken by internal force.
This is already his third sword, and Xu Qinghao's sword-making skills have improved day by day. This sword is more sophisticated than the previous two.
When Zhao Zhijing got the sword, he secretly made a wish to treat it well and never damage it easily again.
"Raise your sword."
A group of disciples began to practice with their master. The first set was still the introductory sword technique of Quanzhen Sect. The 7749 moves were as smooth as flowing water and completed in one go.
"Master, today I will teach you another set of boxing techniques, called Tai Chi."
After testing his disciples' combat capabilities with real swords and guns at Erlong Mountain last time, Zhao Zhijing had the idea of further upgrading the martial arts tailored for each of them.
It was only four or five months since the last time he taught the martial arts, and the disciples had not yet fully comprehended the mysteries. If they were to teach now, haste makes waste. So Zhao Zhijing thought of teaching this set of Tai Chi first. As the saying goes, the great way is connected, and the ultimate in martial arts training is nothing more than the fusion of yin and yang, and the combination of hardness and softness.
Tai Chi just embodies these concepts and profound meanings.
After teaching them Tai Chi boxing, we can see whether to teach them Tai Chi sword according to how much each person has understood. In the end, we can help them take their original martial arts to a higher level by accumulating small steps.
When the disciples heard that their master was going to teach them new martial arts, they were naturally delighted. Their master first defeated Li Mochou and then defeated Huang Rong using this set of Tai Chi.
This shows its power!
"This set of Tai Chi emphasizes using stillness to control movement and striking back after the opponent strikes."
Zhao Zhijing slowly raised his arms to his chest, with his left palm as Yin and his right palm as Yang, and his feet parallel. He took a starting stance and then slowly practiced the subsequent moves.
"Grabbing the Sparrow's Tail, Single Whip, Lifting Hands, White Crane Spreads Its Wings."
The disciples watched attentively, thinking that the master deliberately made the moves very slow so that everyone could understand.
But by the time they reached the tenth move, “Carrying the Tiger Back to the Mountain”, the more talented disciples, led by Yang Guo, had already grasped a little of the mystery.
"When Master fought with Aunt Guo, no matter how Aunt Guo's palm techniques changed, he could always use this set of Tai Chi to defeat the fast with the slow, and remained invincible."
Yang Guo has already learned Kongming Fist, which has many similarities with Tai Chi. Both use softness to overcome hardness, and both incorporate Taoist philosophy. So the more Yang Guo watched, the more fascinated he became.
After a stick of incense had passed, Zhao Zhijing finally completed his moves and completed the Tai Chi. After finishing the moves, he felt calm and relaxed.
"This set of boxing is purely based on the mind, and the use of force is the most taboo. It requires the practitioner to achieve unity of body and mind, so it is easy to practice but difficult to master. Without sufficient internal strength to support it, even one-tenth or one-twelfth of the power may not be able to be used."
Zhao Zhijing looked at his disciples' expressions and could roughly tell how much each of them had understood. "Now that you have learned this set of boxing techniques, you should not use it to fight with others. The right way is to carefully comprehend the boxing meaning and martial arts."
"As your skills gradually increase, you can slowly verify each other, and then you will be able to comprehend the profound attainments and benefit endlessly."
"Come on, no matter how much you remember, follow me and go through it from beginning to end again."
“Remember to use your mind instead of force. The moves don’t need to be exact, but they must be continuous and uninterrupted.”
The disciples immediately followed their master in practicing Tai Chi. In the beginning, it was inevitable that some of the Quanzhen boxing techniques were involved, but Zhao Zhijing did not criticize them too much and allowed the disciples to slowly comprehend them.
This training lasted for more than half an hour. Zhao Zhijing looked at the sky and it was time for breakfast, so he gave a few more instructions and ended the morning class.
When it came to the evening class that day, Zhao Zhijing went on to tell his disciples about his plan to go down the mountain for training next year, so that they could make use of the time in the mountains to practice hard and prepare for the future.
"It is expected that after the beginning of next spring, those of you who can pass the teacher's assessment can officially go down the mountain and travel outside."
After hearing this, the disciples were reluctant to leave their master as they would have to leave him in half a year, but they could not help but yearn for the outside world.
"Those who like calligraphy and painting should go to the mountains and rivers; those who like cooking should go to Lin'an Prefecture to learn from their peers."
"If you want to speak up for the people, I will arrange a way for you to realize your ambitions."
"You are still young, it is not advisable to work in isolation, and Huashan alone should not be the whole of your life."
Thank you all for your visit. There are more than ten Taoist friends who left their Taoist names this time, so they are sorted according to the book friend value.
Among them, Feng Qingyang is replaced by Feng Qingyang, please forgive me.
In addition, this book will continue to be written, so I will definitely accept more disciples. Those Taoist friends who did not enter the Danlu this time will be arranged in the future.
Once again, I sincerely thank everyone for their support!
