Honghuang: Eat a Hunyuan Daluo

Chapter 188: The Emperor of Heaven is Completed, and the Emperor of Earth Succeeds

Chapter 188: The Emperor of Heaven is Completed, and the Emperor of Earth Succeeds

Lieshan took the rice ears and observed them carefully. His fingers gently touched the plump grains of the rice ears. Each grain of these rice ears was round and full, as if containing endless vitality. The colors of the rice ears were colorful, like a rainbow from the sky fallen to the earth.

Lieshan had never heard of such a magical plant, let alone seen it.

Smelling the rice fragrance emanating from the rice ears, Lieshan carefully peeled out a grain of rice and put it into his mouth.

The moment the rice ear entered his mouth, Lieshan's eyes lit up. Now he was sure that this rice ear was a rare treasure. It was very likely to become the second kind of food for mankind, just like the corn that had been passed down from generation to generation, and it would be the new hope for mankind's vigorous development.

He seemed to see that the tribesmen in the tribe no longer had to worry about food, the children could grow up healthily and happily, and the elderly could enjoy their old age.

Thinking of this, Lieshan's hands could not help but tremble, and a feeling of excitement and joy inexplicably surged in his heart.

But Lieshan calmed down. He knew clearly that just having this bunch of rice ears was far from enough. He needed to find a way to make these rice ears multiply and grow and produce more food so that he could promote it on a large scale.

Humans have been growing corn for so many years, but there are still many tribes that cannot grow corn. Some of them are because the conditions near the tribes do not allow for planting, and some of them have not mastered the method of growing corn.

This shows that launching a new food is not an easy task.

Thinking of this, Lieshan hurried back to the tribe with the rice ears. His return naturally attracted the attention of the tribesmen.

The main reason was that the rice ears emitting colorful light in Lieshan's hands were too eye-catching.

Then, everyone in the tribe gathered around and looked at the rice ears in his hands with curiosity.

"Lieshan, what did you bring back?" asked the leader of the Jiangshui tribe.

Lie Shan excitedly held up a rice ear and said, "It is a new grain, just like corn."

The people of Jiangshui tribe were very excited when they heard the news. Lieshan clan actually discovered a new food. The yield of corn grown in the area where their tribe was located was high. If the yield of this new food was high enough, it might be the new hope for the future of Jiangshui tribe!

As Lieshan listened to the discussions of the tribesmen around him, he became more determined to grow rice ears in order to provide more food for the tribe.

That afternoon, Lieshan decided to start trying to plant these rice ears. He found a piece of wasteland near the tribe and used simple tools to cultivate a field.

Then Lieshan carefully peeled out the rice grains one by one.

And it seemed as if there were no end to the peeling of the rice ears. It took Lieshan half a month to peel all the small rice ears, and the seeds piled up several meters high.

Lieshan peeled the seeds, scattered them on the soil, and then gently covered the surface with a layer of soil.

In the following days, Lieshan stayed by the field almost all the time, and even practiced by the side of the field.

He was also always on the lookout for birds that might come to steal food. Whenever a bird landed, Lieshan would wave his wooden stick to guard the field that carried the hope for the tribe's future.

But as the days passed, the rice ears showed no signs of sprouting. Lieshan began to feel anxious. He didn't know what went wrong. He was planting the rice ears as carefully and seriously as he planted corn. Why wouldn't the rice ears sprout?

Just when Lieshan was in despair, he had a dream that night.

In his dream, Lieshan once again saw the divine bird that brought rice ears. The divine bird transformed into a beautiful fairy. The fairy smiled and said to him, "Lieshan, rice ears are different from corn. You need a special method to make rice ears sprout."

"Please teach me, bird god!"

"You need to water them with clear spring water and give them plenty of sunlight." After saying this, the fairy transformed from the divine bird disappeared.

Lieshan suddenly woke up from his dream. He decided to follow the fairy's instructions. Afterwards, Lieshan led his tribesmen to bring clear spring water from a distant mountain spring and carefully watered the fields every morning and evening.

At the same time, Lieshan also cut down the surrounding trees that blocked the sunlight, allowing the sunlight to fully shine on the fields.

Finally, under the careful care of Lieshan clan and his people, sprouts began to emerge from the soil.

These tender shoots do not emit colorful light like rice ears, but are tender green in color, full of vitality at first glance.

Lieshan was very excited when he saw this scene. All he had to do next was wait for the rice seedlings to grow up, and then he would be able to confirm whether these rice ears could be used as new food for the tribe.

As time went by, the rice seedlings grew bigger, headed, and finally produced full ears of rice.

The people of Jiangshui tribe couldn't help cheering as they watched the rice seedlings grow taller and taller. They had already begun looking forward to the day when the rice ears would be harvested.

Finally, autumn came and the Jiangshui tribe welcomed the day of harvest. The golden rice ears seemed to sparkle brightly in the sun and the tribesmen were harvesting rice happily.

This year, the Jiangshui tribe ate delicious rice, and no one in the tribe went hungry.

With the success of rice cultivation, the name of Lieshan in the Jiangshui tribe began to be constantly spread, and the tribesmen in the tribe were full of gratitude to him.

Lieshan's great contribution in discovering the new grain, rice, made his prestige in the tribe increasingly high, and he eventually became the new leader of the tribe.

In the following years, Lieshan spread rice to the surrounding tribes, and more and more tribes benefited from it and ate the delicious rice.

Of course, in addition to promoting rice and governing the tribe, Lieshan did not stop learning. He always stayed with Bai Jing, practicing hard while learning the method of alchemy.

That day, Lie Shan, who had just started to learn the art of alchemy, suddenly said to Bai Jing: "Master, I feel that the art of alchemy is not suitable for large-scale promotion among the human race."

"Why?"

"Nowadays, most of our human race are ordinary people without cultivation. Not having cultivation means that they cannot collect various spiritual medicines, let alone control the alchemy fire to refine pills. Therefore, I think the way of alchemy is not suitable for the human race."

"That does make sense. What method do you think is suitable for the human race?" Bai Jing asked with interest.

"I don't know yet, but I want to deduce a simpler and more practical method through alchemy, and then promote this method to the human race."

"Then go and try it!"

For Bai Jing, what he most wants to see is his disciples finding their own way.

In the following years, Lieshan devoted part of his energy to finding plants that were effective for mortals.

After Lieshan's unremitting efforts, he discovered more than 30 kinds of plants that can be used on mortals. Some of these plants can stop bleeding, reduce swelling, treat colds, and cure summer heat.
Lieshan drew pictures of all these plants and compiled them into a book, hoping to find an opportunity to meet with the leader in the future to distribute them to the entire human race.

Coincidentally, not long after Lieshan came up with this idea, Fuxi visited the Jiangshui tribe.

During the past ten years, Fuxi set out from Chendu and visited countless tribes along the way. The closer he got to the central part of the Wei River, the more famous the Jiangshui tribe became. Fuxi also ate rice from other human tribes.

In terms of taste, rice is much tastier than corn and is easier to promote on a large scale, so Fuxi developed a strong interest in Lieshan clan.

Compared with the many tribal leaders he had met before, Fuxi felt that just because Lieshan had grown new crops, he was more qualified than other tribal leaders to inherit the position of the common leader of the human race.

So Fuxi went to the Jiangshui tribe in person, intending to meet with Lieshan and test him to see if he was qualified to become the new leader of the human race.

But what Fuxi didn't expect was that as soon as he stepped into the Jiangshui tribe, he felt a vague holy power.

If it were someone else, they might not be so sensitive to the holy power, but who is Fuxi? Nuwa's brother!
If we were to choose a person who understands the realm of sainthood best among all saints, it would undoubtedly be Fuxi.

Therefore, Fuxi could be 100% sure that there was a saint in the Jiangshui tribe.

Just as Fuxi was wondering who the saint here was and why he came to the Jiangshui tribe, Bai Jing's voice rang in his mind: "Fuxi, don't be nervous, Lieshan is my disciple."

Fuxi was stunned at first, and then he was shocked. Lieshan was actually a disciple of Saint Bai Jing? !

Fuxi was even more curious about Lieshan now, and after calming down, he summoned Lieshan. At this time, Lieshan was looking for herbs in the mountains. When he heard that Fuxi, the leader of the human race, had arrived at the Jiangshui tribe and wanted to meet him, Lieshan immediately stopped his work and rushed back to the tribe with awe and longing.

After the two met, Fuxi had an idea in his mind as soon as he saw Lieshan's appearance. Lieshan looked exactly like the previous human leader Xuanyu. This should also be the plan of Saint Bai Jing.

In this case, Saint Bai Jing must have put a lot of effort into Lieshan clan, and he should have learned a lot.

Thinking of this, Fuxi began to ask Lieshan questions, ranging from astronomy and geography to humanities and ethics, from the way of cultivation to the strategy of governing the country.

With Bai Jing's many years of instruction and his own accumulation and thinking, Lieshan answered questions fluently and showed extraordinary insights. Fuxi was very satisfied with Lieshan's performance.

The only drawback is that Lieshan's vision is still a little narrow. After all, Lieshan was just the leader of a tribe before. If he wants to take over as the leader of the human race, he needs to broaden his horizons.

So Fuxi decided to keep Lieshan by his side and teach him personally.

Lieshan was also very happy to hear that he had the opportunity to learn from the common leader of the human race. After reporting to Bai Jing, he followed Fuxi back to Chendu.

Following Fuxi, Lieshan continued to absorb Fuxi's experience and strategies in governing the country, and his own horizons also expanded further. From only seeing his own tribe at the beginning, now he can think about problems from the perspective of the entire human race.

Time passed quickly like a white horse passing by, and before we knew it, it had been 4200 years since Fuxi became the leader of the human race.

During the 4200 years of Fuxi's reign, the human race gradually grew stronger, from ignorance to civilization, and from weakness to strength.

During this long period of time, Fuxi worked diligently and devoted all his energy, pouring all his wisdom and efforts into the development of the human race.

Now, Fuxi feels that he has led the human race onto the right path and his own merits are complete.

What we have done for the human race has reached a stage, and the future of the human race needs new leaders to lead them forward. It is time to abdicate the position of co-leader to younger generations who are more capable and responsible.

And the successor chosen by Fuxi was naturally Lieshan.

During the years that Lieshan stayed with Fuxi, everyone praised him for his kindness, wisdom, unique insights and firm beliefs in the development of the human race.

Fuxi also believed that under the leadership of Lieshan clan, the human race would usher in new glory.

The three ancestors of the human race were also very supportive of Fuxi's decision, especially after they met Lieshan clan.

This is also a very normal thing. The three ancestors of the human race and Xuanyu have known each other for many years. The four of them support each other and jointly lead the human race from weak to strong.

The three ancestors of the human race can be said to be the people who know Xuanyu best. They knew at a glance that the Lieshan clan was related to Xuanyu, so they naturally chose to support him.

Afterwards, Fuxi used the Eight Trigrams to deduce a suitable day. On this day, Fuxi decided to hold a ceremony of abdication and pass the position of the common leader of the human race to Lieshan.

The ceremony was held at the top of Mount Tai.

On the day the ceremony began, the sky was filled with thousands of auspicious lights.

"The day chosen using the innate Bagua is indeed good." Bai Jing said with a smile on his face in the cloud.

Nuwa nodded. She also felt that it was a very good choice for her brother to complete his merits in such good weather.

"This innate Bagua is indeed magical. It's strange that the Heavenly Dao does not suppress it." Tongtian sighed.

"How do you know, fellow Daoist, that the Heavenly Dao has not suppressed the innate Eight Trigrams?" Bai Jing asked with a smile.

Tongtian was stunned at first, then looked at Bai Jing and Nuwa in shock, thinking: "Could it be that these two have secretly done something big again?"

At the foot of Mount Tai below, tribal leaders, elders, warriors and many people of the human race came from all directions and gathered at the foot of Mount Tai.

Surrounded by the crowd, Fuxi walked up to the platform with firm steps.

Lie Shanshi was also dressed in formal attire, and walked onto the stage amid the cheers of the crowd. From today on, he would shoulder the responsibility of leading the human race towards a better future.

When the time came, Fuxi first burned incense and kowtowed to heaven and earth, then stood up and said: "I am Fuxi of the human race. Today I will abdicate the position of the leader of the human race to Lieshan clan of the Jiangshui tribe. I hope that heaven and earth, the Holy Mother will witness it!"

As soon as Fuxi finished speaking, thunderous cheers broke out from the audience.

Lieshan respectfully bowed to the heaven and earth and the Holy Mother, with a determined light in his eyes. He bowed deeply to Fuxi, then turned to face the people in the audience and said loudly: "I, Lieshan, will live up to everyone's expectations and do my best for the development of the human race!"

As soon as Lie Shan finished speaking, a melodious fairy music came from the sky.

Fuxi only felt that his mind was at ease, and his merits were complete.

A huge roar was heard above the nine heavens, and enormous merits were continuously gathering from all the tribes of the human race and from all directions.

At this time, the sky was already a golden ocean.

Afterwards, the huge amount of merit was divided into two and then fell down. Sixty percent of it poured into Fuxi's body. The merit entered his body, the Emperor returned to his throne, and Fuxi's aura began to rise sharply.

In the blink of an eye, he broke through from the early stage of Daluo Jinxian to the peak of Quasi-Sage.

Not only that, Fuxi also felt that the Tao rhyme around him was already perfect. If he had the Hongmeng purple energy, he could become a saint anytime and anywhere.

Nuwa felt her nose sore when she saw this. Her brother had finally gotten his reward after all the suffering. As long as she could prove herself as the Lord of Humanity, her brother would have a holy position.

Thinking of this, Nuwa's mind moved, and the Fuxiqin that she had put away appeared out of thin air in front of Fuxi.

Fuxi hesitated for a moment, but finally took the Fuxi Qin. In order to become a saint, Fuxi was willing to join the demon clan and was involved in great karma.

Now, the cause and effect between him and the demon clan has been eliminated, and he has no connection with the demon clan anymore. This Fuxi Qin was originally his companion spiritual treasure, so it is only right for him to take it back.

Of the remaining four merits, one and a half fell on Duobao. Duobao immediately used the merits to kill the corpse and became the first quasi-saint among the four great saint sects.

Half of the task was accomplished by the Jie Religion, which sent Duobao to teach Fuxi and also sent the Twelve Yuanchen to help Fuxi formulate the time sequence of the prehistoric world. Fuxi was able to complete his mission, and the Jie Religion played an indispensable role in this.

The last 20% fell on all the cultivators who helped Fuxi, whether it was Kong Xuan and Youqin Yueyue who helped Fuxi seize the River Map and Luoshu, or Gui Ling who gave the River Map and Luoshu to help Fuxi deduce the innate Bagua, or anyone in the human race who helped Fuxi intentionally or unintentionally, all got a share of the merit.

Then Duobao flew to Fuxi's side. He smiled and bowed, saying, "Congratulations to Taoist Fuxi for achieving the status of Heavenly Emperor. From now on, you will be free and unfettered."

"Teacher," Fuxi said with a flash of reminiscence on his face, "Thank you for your teachings over the years. Otherwise, I don't know how many years it would take for me to attain enlightenment."

Duobao waved his hands repeatedly upon hearing this: "What I taught was only Fuxi before his true spirit awakened. Since you have awakened, you don't need to call me teacher anymore."

Fuxi also knew that the relationship between them as teacher and student had ended. In the end, Fuxi gave Duobao a great gift, which completed the relationship between them as teacher and student.

Duobao accepted this gift, then stepped aside and waited for the saints to arrive.

When the Emperor returns to his throne having fulfilled his merits, the saints will naturally come to celebrate, because in terms of status, the Emperor is the same as the saints.

More than half an hour later, all the saints arrived, led by Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun, followed by the two saints from the West.

Bai Jing, Nuwa, and Tongtian Jiaozhu appeared on the other side.

Laozi stepped forward, smiled at Fuxi and Lieshan, and said, "Fuxi, you have governed the world well and have accomplished great deeds. Your abdication today is in accordance with the will of heaven.

Lieshan, now that you have taken over the position of co-leader, you should take the development of the human race as your own responsibility and not slack off."
