Chapter 28 Brother-in-law

Ryan had no reason to refuse. The environment of this nightclub was poor, the place was small, the sound effect was not good, and the atmosphere group, the champagne babes, only had this group of rune warriors coming and going, and they were almost familiar with each other.

"If you're going, go to the best place in Nashville!" Ryan said.

"This..." Joel said the same thing: "In Nashville, music bars are the main theme of nightlife."

The implication is not much better.

Ryan had to take a step back: "It'll be fine if it's better than this one."

In the early morning, Ryan and Joel walked out of the nightclub together and parted ways in the parking lot. When Ryan turned around, he saw Abigail standing next to his car.

"Why are you here?" Ryan laughed.

"I want to give you a surprise." Abigail walked over quickly and threw herself into Ryan's arms.

"If I remember correctly, I just dropped you off home before work?"

"Then send me back again."

"Don't ambush me like this next time. It's not safe for a girl to be out there late at night."

"Okay, I get it."

In the car, Abigail talked about the follow-up of the Panama City case.

"Haven't those three been expelled from school?" Ryan said.

The three were later in the news and their identities were revealed as students at Troy University in Alabama. The man with dreadlocks that Ryan was facing was also a member of the school's track and field team.

"Three people were expelled from the school, but the local sheriff was also forced to resign. The footage of him violently beating the suspect was posted online, and the local black community protested in front of the police station," said Abigail.

Both Hendersonville High School and Vanderbilt University are located in the suburbs of Nashville, where there are not many black activities. Ryan was not very sensitive to racial issues before.

"If I remember correctly, the man was about to escape," Ryan said.

"Yes."

“If it was a white person, it probably wouldn’t have caused such a big reaction.”

"That's right."

"So, the most correct way to deal with it is to avoid physical contact, even if it will cause the other party to escape. If your life is threatened, such as if the other party is holding a knife, just empty the magazine and go on administrative leave." Ryan added.

"... Let's not talk about this topic anymore. I have a 6A-level competition next week. If I win, I will most likely be able to apply for a scholarship. Will you come to watch my competition?" Abigail asked. It turned out that she came here specifically for this matter.

If American students with sports expertise have good enough grades, they can receive full scholarships. Of course, the number of places is limited.

"I work overtime in the evening, not in the afternoon." Ryan shrugged.

"That's great!" Abigail said, giving Ryan a quick kiss on the cheek.

When the car stopped in front of Abigail's house, the two stayed in the car for a while before Abigail got out.

At the last moment, Ryan mentioned his MySpace. Abigail immediately patted her chest and promised that she would let Taylor help Ryan, and gave Ryan an OK gesture.

·
Ryan closed the door and realized that the light in the living room was still on. Normally, Terry would have been fast asleep at this time.

When I came to the living room, I saw Terry sitting on the sofa watching TV with a large long-haired Maine Coon cat on her lap. Terry was still wearing her black lace suspender nightgown.

"Wait a moment."

As Ryan passed by, Terry suddenly spoke.

Ryan turned his head and saw Terry sitting opposite him, doing nothing but looking at him, which made Ryan feel uneasy.

Just as Terry was about to say something, she noticed that Ryan's eyes began to scan the mines involuntarily. She looked a little embarrassed, and immediately stood up, took a cardigan and put it on, then sat down again. As soon as she opened her mouth, Ryan became nervous.

"Tell me the truth, have you done anything to offend others?" Terry's eyes were sharp, as if she could see through Ryan's heart.

"Who? Abigail?!"

"Abigail, you've ruined it too?" Tray's pupils shrank, as if she had discovered something incredible. Then she laughed, "I shouldn't have let you play the male lead in Taylor's music video. That way, you two wouldn't have met each other."

"What happened?" Ryan frowned.

The filming company that Trey works for started the preliminary preparations for shooting Taylor's new album MV last week, but just today, Big Machine asked to change the director. Considering Taylor's decisive role in it, this is entirely her decision.

This is very unusual. The cooperation between Tray and Taylor has brought rich rewards to both parties. For two consecutive years, Taylor's two MVs won CMT's Breakthrough Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and the most prestigious Video of the Year. It not only brought fame to Taylor, but also made Tray's reputation in the industry reach a new level. It can be said to be a win-win situation.

This left Terry puzzled, and then she thought about the time Ryan, Tyler and Abigail went to Florida together during spring break, and Ryan's previous phone call with Tyler, and then she realized the reason.

Now everything is clear.

She shoots more than ten music videos a year on average, so losing a big client is a bit of a blow, but definitely not fatal.

"It doesn't matter if we don't shoot. I was just looking for a few more days of rest." Terry got up and went upstairs.

·
Sure enough, the next day on campus, Abigail also brought bad news, saying that Taylor was unwilling to help.

Ryan nodded and had already forgotten about Taylor. Good news came from the background of the beatport website. Because of his excellent sales performance, he had stood out from the "current hot spots" and advanced to the "popular trends" in a more prominent position on the website. There were only 40 songs in this recommended position.

The backend shows that an average of more than a thousand copies are sold every day these days, which is much better than before, and has already made it onto the website's daily best-selling list, although it is only at the bottom.

"Will you come to see me at the swimming pool this afternoon?" Abigail asked again.

"I have to go to football practice," Ryan said.

It has been almost half a month since the last training, and Ryan dares not to "skip work" again.

"Hey, DJ! Coming to practice?"

"DJ, when can you introduce some girls from the nightclub to each other?"

At this time, Ryan already had a new nickname in school, which was of course thanks to Paul's big mouth. Now everyone in the school knew that he was a DJ who guest-starred in ultra.

However, considering that electronic music is not very popular among young people nowadays, and the school has produced "great stars" like Taylor before, Ryan's existence will not cause a sensation, and the team members said this more as a joke.

The players took the initiative to say hello to Ryan, not only because they hadn't seen each other for a long time, but also because they were in a good mood. Last week, the Raiders defeated their old rival Gallatin High School as they wished, retaining their hopes of competing for the state championship, and Ryan couldn't even go to the game with the team, as he was still in Florida that day.

Just as he was thinking about it, he saw Paul coming over and said to Ryan like a snitch: "You have to perform better today, otherwise you will lose your position. A few days ago, a junior played in your place in the game, and he performed well."

And this thing?

Ryan soon saw his replacement in the previous game, a tall, chubby boy with brown hair. His hair was as curly as instant noodles and lay limply on his head. He was quite strong and looked honest.

"Senior Ryan, I finally found you!" He approached quickly as soon as he saw Ryan, as if he had seen a savior.

Not to mention that he wants to compete with Ryan for the position, it is not an exaggeration to say that he is Ryan's little fanboy.

He calls himself Austin and is currently in tenth grade.

Ryan soon found out the reason. Other positions could receive guidance from corresponding coaches, but tight ends were rare in the entire high school level. Most tight ends were transferred from other positions in college.

The same goes for Austin. He was originally a running back, but his speed advantage was not obvious. During the game, he was forced to play as a tight end, but the effect was unexpectedly good.

Austin now wants to change his position, but he cannot get targeted training.

Ryan is not a football coach, but his former high school coach happened to be a tight end. From him, Ryan learned a lot of skills and knowledge about tight ends.

Considering that his time in school might be getting shorter and shorter, it would be nice to have a substitute. Ryan was not stingy and taught everything he knew, but he was reserved on very few issues to avoid the situation where the apprentice starved himself to death.

After one training session, Austin and Ryan became more and more in sync with each other.

During a break in training, another team member passed by and teased Austin, "How many men are you going to put in your sister's new album?"

Sister? New album?
Ryan suddenly turned around and looked at Austin, who had the same ramen hair style as someone else, except that Austin had short hair and a different color.

"What's your last name?" Ryan asked immediately.
